    Sussex 533 v Warwickshire 415 & 260-4

Bit of a farce... 16 overs remain and the players think that is it. Off come the lids and hands are being shaken, but the umpires are not having it.

They need to get to 16:50 BST it seems, so we'll see one, very slow over, from Fynn Hudson-Prentice, you'd imagine.

  2. Postpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 2 July

    Sussex 533 v Warwickshire 415 & 260-4

Daniel Hughes, 36-years-old, is bowling for the first time in his first class career.

    89 matches.

He's bowling some medium pace off about 10 steps.

He shifts around the wicket for the fourth ball and gives up his first run, clipped into the leg side by Sam Hain.

The only run off the over.

  3. 'There has been positives for Sussex'published at 16:43 British Summer Time 2 July

    Sussex 533 v Warwickshire 415 & 253-4

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

From a Sussex point of view the positive will be the good return to form of Daniel Hughes who I thought batted beautifully for his 151, James Coles yet again in the runs which is good news, he's looked in terrific form.

Ollie Robinson has bowled pretty well throughout the game and Gurinder Sandhu adding to his five wickets up at Durham.

Fin Bean (L) and Adam Lyth, YorkshireImage source, Rex Features

Fin Bean doesn't get the honour of scoring the winning runs on his home ground - instead it's opening partner Adam Lyth who drives Noah Thain down the ground to seal a resounding Yorkshire win.

Bean finishes unbeaten on 18, with Lyth on 15 - and this could be a huge victory for the home side, who haul themselves out of the relegation zone at Essex's expense.

It's also Yorkshire's first County Championship victory at Clifton Park - having lost their only previous four-day game on this ground.

WICKETpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 2 July

    Finch c Broad b Harrison 4 (Kent 566-8d & 96-5 v Northants 722-6d)

The same combination which saw off Daniel Bell-Drummond now have the wicket of Kent's other first-inning centurion.

Harry Finch tries to force a ball from Calvin Harrison away off the back foot and it's a comfortable slip catch for Justin Broad.

Kent 60 behind and half their wickets down.

  6. 'Well batted by Kohler-Cadmore and Abell'published at 16:37 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 232-4 v Notts 509

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Well batted from both Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Tom Abell in their differing styles.

Tom Abell has only contributed 21 but he has contributed a lot of solidity and allowed Kohler-Cadmore a little bit more freedom at the other end.

  7. 150 runs

for Emilio Gaypublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 2 July

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 362 & 230-0

Another milestone for Emilio Gay, who reaches 150 from 155 balls in the dying embers of this game.

Gay's innings has included a remarkable 25 boundaries and he and Alex Lees have steered Durham to the verge of a very respectable draw.

  8. 6 runs

Postpublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 232-4 v Notts 509

Tom Kohler-Cadmore is getting himself nicely into form for the return of the T20 Blast. He smashes another six over mid-wicket off Farhan Ahmed - the young spinner now has 0-58 from 12 overs.

  9. 50 runs

for Sam Hainpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 2 July

    Sussex 533 v Warwickshire 415 & 248-4

Fynn Hudson-Prentice is coming on to bowl some off-breaks and his first ball is cut away for a single by Sam Hain, who brings up his sixth straight Championship half-century from 155 balls.

Some nick, two in each of the past three matches.

Incredibly for Hain, none of those deliveries have found the boundary.

  10. 100 partnership for Somersetpublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 224-4 v Notts 509

Farhan Ahmed starts a new over - Tom Kohler Cadmore sweeps the first ball for four. A single follows and brings up the 100 partnership with Tom Abell off 212 balls.

  11. Postpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 2 July

    Yorks 26-0 (target 41) v Essex

Crisp drive by Fin Bean off Khaleel Ahmed which races to the rope and leaves Yorkshire just 15 short of sealing victory.

Bean, who plays his club cricket at Clifton Park, would surely love to be the man who hits the winning runs in this one.

  12. Postpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 218-4 v Notts 509

Farhan Ahmed isn't having the best of days.

On the receiving end of some Tom Kohler-Cadmore batting aggression eaerlier on, he makes a hash of a boundary save which costs team-mate Freddie McCann four runs.

Kohler-Cadmore is now 131 not out and Somerset lead by 89.

  13. Postpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 2 July

    Hampshire 221 & 264-4 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec –

A dozen come off the Matthew Waite over with Ben Brown helping himself to consecutive boundaries and then a single to move to 90* and retain strike.

His side have 24 more overs to negotiate, in theory at least, against a Pears side who are in their 200th overs in the field.

A monumental effort but one which looks like falling short.

Kashif Ali is about to become the eighth bowler used by the visitors in this second innings.

  14. 50 runs

for Liam Dawsonpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 2 July

    Hampshire 221 & 255-4 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec –

Liam Dawson punches Matthew Waite through the covers for a couple to move to 49* and then clips to fine leg for a single to bring up his fifty from 135 balls with four fours.

His 56th first class half-century but today, time has been the most important statistic.

  15. Five-wicket haul for Ben Kellawaypublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 2 July

    Glamorgan 528 v Glos 380 & 208-6

Well bowled, Ben Kellaway. James Bracey pushes at a ball from the off-spinner and Colin Ingram takes the catch at second slip.

A century earlier in the game and now the third five-for of his career, what a match Kellaway is having.

Do Glamorgan have enough overs left to claim the four remaining wickets and chase down a target?

    Malik c Hudson-Prentice b Carson 44 (Sussex 533 v Warwickshire 415 & 240-4)

    Another goes down.

Jack Carson loops one towards Zen Malik's leg stump and the Bears man gloves it towards Fynn Hudson-Prentice who takes a good catch at leg slip, diving to his left inches off the turf.

The lead is 122 with six wickets standing. Ed Barnard is the new batter.

  17. Postpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 2 July

    Yorks 6-0 (target 41) v Essex

Three overs gone in this Yorkshire innings and it's been steady stuff, with Fin Bean on three and Adam Lyth scoring a single so far.

No need for the home side to rush - the weather forecast indicates that the morning rain won't be making a return any time soon and there are plenty of overs available for them to knock off the remaining 35 runs.

  18. 'Hard work to take 20 wickets'published at 16:18 British Summer Time 2 July

    Hampshire 221 & 243-4 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It is hard work to take 20 wickets on a wicket of this sort of nature, even if you dominated a side for three days because the name of the game is you have to take 20 wickets and this is proving that a side can bat very badly in one innings and still somehow salvage something.

    What are Kent doing?

A long hop by Yuzvendra Chahal is obligingly pulled by Ben Compton into the hands of Tim Robinson.

The immoveable object has been moved and suddenly Northants are dreaming about the possibility of what would be an amazing win.

Kent need to score 74 for parity - there are 23 overs to go after this one.

  20. 200 runs

partnership for Lees and Gaypublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 2 July

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 362 & 203-0

In theory, we have 28 overs left to bowl but, even with spin at both ends, we won't get through those.

The Durham opening pair have now posted a 200 partnership, while Emilio Gay is within sight of overtaking his previous best score for the county of 152.

He probably won't get time to threaten the 261 he made in Northamptonshire colours against Middlesex, however.
