    Up and over once again.

    Hammond c Carlson b Kellaway 84 (Glamorgan 528 v Glos 380 & 194-5)

Things have livened up a bit in Division Two since tea.

Miles Hammond tries to drive a ball from Ben Kellaway and edges to Kiran Carlson at first slip.

    Gloucestershire are just 46 ahead.

  3. The draw is on the horizonpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 2 July

Durham 198-0, trail Surrey by 273

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

This game will be put out of its misery in an hour. The Surrey players look thoroughly fed-up in the field, just like the Durham players did on the first two days.

There have been 29 centuries across the country in this round of games, which the statistician Andrew Samson says is a new county record. And it's all because of the ball.

I may have said this before, but I am going to say it again. I hope we never see this Kookaburra experiment again. Bin it! After this year because it is doing nothing to help the County Championship.

PS, Alex Lees and Emilio Gay have done well today and taken the opening stand to 198. Gay's century was that 29th.

    Bell-Drummond c Broad b Harrison 30 (Kent 566-8 dec & 76-3 v Northants 722-6 dec)

Daniel Bell-Drummond is furious with himself.

He makes a very late decision to try and play a wristy dab down towards third man and edges to Justin Broad at first slip.

Kent are 80 behind as Joey Evison joins Ben Compton.

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 362 & 190-0

The final session is under way - and the fact that Sam Curran is bowling off-breaks should give an indication of how likely we are to see a positive result.

Expect to witness a few more 'unusual' bowling displays before the captains shake hands in just under an hour's time.

  6. Resumption at Hovepublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 2 July

    Sussex 533 v Warwickshire 415 & 226-3

Warwickshire lead by 97 runs with seven wickets in hand going into the final session.

Zen Malik has added two boundaries off Danial Ibrahim, bowling for the first time this season, in the opening over.

That possibly gives an idea of the way this game is going.

Malik has 35* with Sam Hain on 39* and the lead is up to 108 after 11 come from the over.

  7. Yorkshire begin second inningspublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 2 July

    Yorks 0-0 (target 41) v Essex

Adam Lyth and Fin Bean emerge to launch what should be a reasonably straightforward run chase.

Shane Snater has ball in hand for Essex.

  8. Back out at Southamptonpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 2 July

    Hampshire 221 & 240-4 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

Liam Dawson and Ben Brown are back out there, looking to bat Worcestershire out of the game as they near 200 overs in the dirt over the past 48 hours.

    Somerset 379 & 197-4 v Notts 509

Mohammad Abbas to bowl the first over after tea.

It will be 17 overs before a new ball is available, so can he conjure something special with the old one?

  10. Tea at Cardiffpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 2 July

    Glamorgan 528 v Gloucestershire 380 & 194-4

Barring a dramatic fall of Gloucestershire wickets after tea, this game at Sophia Gardens looks a certain draw.

Miles Hammond is 84 not out and the visitors are 46 ahead with a minimum 34 overs remaining.

Ben Kellaway has bowled well for Glamorgan, taking 3-79 from 27 overs, but there is not a lot in the pitch to offer hope of a sudden collapse by their opponents.

  11. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 2 July

    Kent 566-8 dec & 76-2 v Northants 722-6 dec

Kent are being made to fight for survival after Northants piled up 722-6 before declaring earlier on a rain-interrupted day.

The home side are still 80 behind, but Daniel Bell-Drummond - who made a first-innings hundred - is looking good again on 30 not out and the ever-reliable has 15 from 73 balls at the other end.

Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has 1-6 from 12 overs for Northants, but they need wickets, not economy from him in the final session.

  12. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 197-4 v Notts 509

Tom Kohler-Cadmore clips Lyndon James fine for four and Somerset reach tea with a 67-run lead and the game looking set for a draw.

Notts had a chance when Somerset were 28-3 and again when James Rew's dismissal for 43 left them 124-4.

But Kohler-Cadmore has mixed aggression with watchful defence in an excellent 115 not out off 164 balls and he has so far added 73 with Tom Abell, who has 19.

Liam Patterson-White has sent down 30 overs for figures of 4-94 but Notts need someone else to shoulder the wicket-taking burden - and fast - if they are somehow going to conjure a win from this position.

  13. Tea at Southamptonpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 2 July

    Hampshire 221 & 240-4 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

Liam Dawson moves to 41* from the final ball of the session and brings up the 100 partnership with Ben Brown in 224 balls.

Brown has 75* and has batted through the day, with Worcestershire still seeking the six wickets they require for victory and only 32 overs remaining in the day to find them.

    Yorks 459 v Essex 368 & 131

    Jack WhiteImage source, Rex Features

Jack White wraps up the Yorkshire innings, finishing with season's best figures of 4-37 by having last man Khaleel Ahmed caught at second slip.

Ben Coad finishes with 3-33 - and Yorkshire now have what should be the formality of knocking off 41 to record their second Championship win of the season.

On top of that, it will move the White Rose out of the bottom two places - and dump Essex into them in their place.

  15. Tea at the Kia Ovalpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 2 July

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 362 & 185-0

No wickets down in Durham's second innings and the body language of the Surrey fielders indicates they have all but given up on their hopes of forcing victory now.

Emilio Gay has 133, with Alex Lees on 51 - and the pair have now set a record for the highest Durham partnership for any wicket against Surrey in the Championship.

They've just overtaken the 183 posted by Will Smith and Scott Borthwick at Chester-le-Street in 2013.

  16. Tea at Hovepublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 2 July

    Sussex 533 v Warwickshire 415 & 215-3

Warwickshire lead by 97 runs with seven wickets in hand at the tea interval.

26 overs are left on the slate, although we might not see all of those, should the teams choose to shake hands on a draw early.

Sam Hain has made 38* without a single boundary while Zen Malik has three in his 25*. James Coles picked up a couple of wickets this afternoon but they may not prove enough to force a result.

A reasonable bit of bowling by Dom Bess and Essex are on the verge of being bowled out in their second innings.

Khaleel Ahmed is Essex's last hope.

    When you're luck's not in...

Callum Parkinson manages to find the edge of the shoulder of Ben Brown's bat, the ball flicks up off the glove of Gareth Roderick and into the forehead of Ben Allison at slip before bouncing away.

Painful, in every sense, for the Pears.

Brown survives on 75* with Liam Dawson on 37*.

    Somerset 379 & 193-4 v Notts 509

Haseeb Hameed has positioned himself at short mid-on - bet he's regretting that now.

Tom Abell tries to pull a ball from Lyndon James, gets right underneath it but it lands safely at orthodox mid-on as Hameed scurries back in vain to try and take the catch.

Dom Bess comes up trumps as the ninth Essex wicket falls...

Noah Thain had done well to stick around for almost an hour, but he attempts to sweep the off-spinner and misses, with the ball careering into his stumps.

Essex's lead is a fragile 35 as last man Khaleel Ahmed joins Shane Snater.
