Well then, that's the County Championship done until the second week of September.

Three matches to go, everything to play for in both divisions.

The Hundred starts on Tuesday alongside the men's One-Day Cup so there's still plenty of cricket to keep you entertained.

    Enjoy your weekend!

  2. WORCS DRAW WITH HANTSpublished at 18:59 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 303-8 (Target: 358) v Hants

And now five.... and that is enough as Hants skipper Ben Brown offers a handshake to Ben Allison.

Two wickets needed and just one ball to come and that has been a great final day.

Brown deserves huge credit for getting his declaration right leaving 358 to chase and just enough overs to make it a tantalising possibility.

And Worcs can take plenty from their chase which, when Jake Libby and Adam Hose, and then Brett D'Oliveira and Matthew Waite were all going strong, seemed possible.

Yes they remain rooted to the foot of the table but who knows where this 11 points might take them with three games still to come.

The Pears, who are 37 points from safety, face Notts here next time, followed by free-falling Durham and conclude their season with Sussex at New Road.

    Make that four...

Three men crowding the bat but the first three balls stoutly defended by Ben Allison.

    Worcs 303-8 (Target: 358) v Hants

Six balls left and two wickets needed to deny Worcs the draw and give Hants the win.

After four days of toil it comes down to Ben Allison against Kyle Abbott.

    Taylor b Baker 25 (Worcs 303-8 Target 358 v Hants)

Back to back fours from Tom Taylor then he loses his composure, bearings and off stump next ball going for a third.

    They couldn't, could they?

  7. 'Hampshire were never in danger of losing'published at 18:51 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 299-7 (target 358) v Hants

    Frank Watson

My personal feeling is that Worcestershire never really got close to this.

Hampshire have never been in danger of losing this game. That session where they took three wickets in quick succession decided it for me.

It has been a game that has ebbed and flowed where neither team have been able to control, a frustrating game for both sides as neither have been able to drive it home.

    Worcs 295-7 (Target: 358) v Hants

A thick edge off the bat of Ben Allison flies through the slip cordon for four as third last over of the day from Kyle Abbott concludes.

Sonny Baker wil get one last chance to nudge Hants closer as he bowls the penultimate over and starts with a big lbw shout that is swiftly turned down.

It was missing leg by a mile and he gets driven for two fours in the next two balls for good measure.

  9. Postpublished at 18:44 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 290-7 (Target: 358) v Hants

That's one of them done as Sonny Baker sends down a six-dotter.

Just 18 balls to go now with Kyle Abbott to have a go.

    Worcs 290-7 (Target: 358) v Hants

Can these two see out four overs?

Tom Taylor has his eye in with 16 on the board and Ben Allison, who has two runs, has looked assured since he arrived.

Sonny Baker will bowl the first of them.

  11. 'I would be attacking now'published at 18:37 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 289-7 (target 358) v Hants

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

If I was Ben Brown, I would bring in two slips and a gully.

    I would be attacking now.

  12. 5 overs remainingpublished at 18:36 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 288-7 (Target: 358) v Hants

Worcestershire's reset is confirmed with Ben Allison and Tom Taylor blocking their way to two singles in the remainder of the over which started with the loss of their captain.

Survival is the key now and who knows how valuable eight points might be come the end of the season. Yes it's a long shot but you never know.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 1 August

    D'Oliveira lbw b Baker 37 (Worcs 286-7 Target: 358 v Hants)

Worcs may have to recalibrate now because that is their last genuine batsman gone.

Brett D'Oliveira has made an excellent stab at it with 37 from 22 balls but he has missed a straight one from Sonny Baker and been hit plumb in front.

    Gloucestershire draw with Middlesex

A late dash for some bonus points at Cheltenham.

Sadly bonus points is all either side have been playing for for a while as this game has been ruined by the weather. Almost half of day one and the whole of day three was lost to rain.

Victory for Glamorgan earlier today leaves the promotion chances of both teams slim to nothing now.

First-class cricket over at Cheltenham College for another year. Sigh. One more game to come - in the One-Day Cup against Derbyshire on Tuesday.

  15. GLOUCESTERSHIRE DRAW WITH MIDDLESEXpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 1 August

    Glos 404-9 v Middlesex 445

Final over. Noah Cornwell at the Chapel End.

Todd Murphy slashes the first ball to third man for a single. Josh Shaw then dabs and goes into the leg side and they dash another single.

A cut and a miss from Murphy before they scramble a leg bye - that goes for four overthrows!

There's Gloucestershire's fourth batting point and the end of the game.

  16. 'You can't help but feel it's over'published at 18:23 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 277-6 (target 358) v Hants

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

It's been a good effort but you can't help but feel it's over.

When Hose and Brookes went in quick succession you felt that derailed their chances.

  17. Postpublished at 18:23 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 276-6 (Target: 358) v Hants

Nine from that Sonny Baker over leaves 82 needed from 42 balls.

It is a big ask given red ball rules on wides etc. and no fielding restrictions but just under 12 an over is possible.

  18. Postpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 1 August

    Glos 397-9 v Middx 445

Josh Shaw swings Ryan Higgins for six then works a two and a single into the leg side.

A single from Todd Murphy and a wide gets Glos a little closer to 400.

One over to go. Three needed.

  19. Postpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 267-6 (Target: 358) v Hants

Eddie Jack has been the most effective brake on this Worcs charge and that wicket with just six coming from the over has been another setback.

He has 3-53 which in this innings against a batting line intent on damage, has been a good effort.

  20. Postpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 1 August

    Glos 383-9 v Middx 445

Two more overs up at the College Ground.

Matt Taylor drove Noah Cornwell for four but then edged a hook behind to give Middlesex their third bowling point.

Glos need 17 more in 12 balls for an extra point.
