    Worcs 262-6 (target 358) v Hants

Singles are good for Hampshire but wickets are better.

With eight overs remaining they still have an excellent chance to win this.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:12 British Summer Time 1 August

    Waite c sub (Albert) b Jack 19 (Worcs 261-6 Target: 358 v Hants)

Matthew Waite holes out on the long on boundary.

He does not quite get hold of that and sub fielder Toby Albert takes the catch.

It brings Tom Taylor to the middle as, quite possibly, Worcs' last hope.

  3. Postpublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 261-5 (Target: 358) v Hants

That was a ragged eight-ball over from James Fuller with 13 coming from it.

It leaves 97 still needed from 54 balls.

  4. Postpublished at 18:07 British Summer Time 1 August

    Glos 377-8 v Middx 445

Three overs to go at Cheltenham.

Miles Hammond holed out trying to swing a third six, so Middlesex need one more wicket for another point.

The Glosters need 23 in 18 balls for their fourth batting point.

  5. 'They've given themselves a chance'published at 18:01 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 244-5 (target 358) v Hants

    Robbie James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

    This is good entertainment.

10 an over is doable, they've given themselves a chance.

    Worcs 244-5 (Target: 358) v Hants

Huge six from Matthew Waite pulled over wide midwicket first ball which prompts James Fuller to 'hide' the second right inside the left guideline.

Very nearly a wide but if anyone had any doubts we were watching a white ball game dressed up as red, that was it.

Brett D'Oliveira drives the fourth back over Fuller's head for four and swipe-pulls the fifth for four at backward square leg.

And again through midwicket for another with the final delivery. That's 19 from the over leaving 114 from 66 balls. Cracking stuff in front of near empty stands!

  7. Postpublished at 17:56 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 225-5 (Target: 358) v Hants

Lovely ramp shot to finish from Brett D'Oliveira puts a gloss on that over from Eddie Jack with eight from it.

The equation is now 133 from 72.

  8. Postpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 220-5 (Target: 358) v Hants

Will Hants be wondering whether they grab the win now?

They very nearly get a sixth wicket as Matthew Waite scrambles a single to mid on and looked out of his ground at the non strikers as the throw flashed past the stumps.

  9. Postpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 1 August

    Glos 352-7 v Middx 445

Middlesex, infamously, are never ones to get on with their overs.

And we still have six to bowl at Cheltenham despite all the spin that's been sent down.

Gloucestershire have their third batting point but Middlesex will probably carry on to try and pick up two more wickets.

  10. 'That might just be it for Worcester'published at 17:51 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 213-5 (target 358) v Hants

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

That might do it for Hampshire and that might just be it for Worcester.

They still need to keep going for it but Hampshire have done it perfectly today, they got the declaration timing just right.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 1 August

    Libby b Fuller 106 (Worcs 213-5 (Target: 358) v Hants

    And is that it?

Jake Libby's battle comes to an end. Looking to drive straight he is through the shot a little early and James Fuller gets it through to middle and off.

Still 145 needed from 81 balls but the set batsman is gone and the game looks up.

  12. Postpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 209-4 (Target: 358) v Hants

That was a damaging over for the chasing side from Eddie Jack with a wicket and just two runs coming from it.

Still 149 needed from 84 balls with six wickets in hand.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 1 August

    Brookes c Baker b Jack 12 (Worcs 207-4 (Target: 358) v Hants_

Ethan Brookes is caught by Sonny Baker running around the rope from backward square leg.

In truth, that might not be the worst thing as Brookes looked like he was struggling to time the ball.

Over to Brett D'Oliveira now. What can you do skipper? Another 151 runs to win from 89 balls.

  14. Postpublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 1 August

    Glos 330-6 v Middx 445

22 minutes to play at Cheltenham and Middlesex have another point with the wicket of Graeme van Buuren, who poked Luke Hollman's leg spin to slip.

Miles Hammond is onto 56 and looks likely to bring Gloucestershire a third batting point.

  15. 'Absolutely brilliant from Jake Libby'published at 17:38 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 200-3 (target 358) v Hants

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Absolutely brilliant from Jake Libby, a standing ovation from the crowd.

Quick by his standards his second 100 of the game.

    Exceptional stuff.

  16. 100 runs

100 for Libbypublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 199-3 (Target: 358) v Hants

That is a very fine innings from Jake Libby and a second hundred in the match following his 100 not out in the first innings.

It is fair to say that the second – the 21st of his first class career – has come at a more rapid rate than the 20th.

His first innings effort came in 235 balls but this has taken 116.

  17. NORTHAMPTONSHIRE DRAW WITH DERBYSHIREpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 1 August

    Northants 550-9d v Derbys 377 & 185-5

A superb stand between Luis Reece, 61, and Brooke Guest, 60, has hauled Derbyshire out of the mire from 54-5 and staring down the barrell of an innings defeat.

Over half this final day was lost to rain and it's cost Northants the chance to press for victory.

The draw keeps Derbyshire in touch with the promotion race. They're 32 points behind Glamorgan with three games to play.

Northants are down in seventh and any lingering hopes of the top two are now over.

  18. 'It's a very tall order'published at 17:26 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 183-3 (target 358) v Hants

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

He's annoyed with himself, but it's completely understandable.

He was Worcester's best chance of a miracle.

    It's a very tall order.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 1 August

    Hose b Jack 25 (Worcs 183-3 (Target: 358) v Hants)

Adam Hose attempts to ramp Eddie Jack and gets his angles wrong, ramping it into his own stumps.

That is a blow as Hose was really starting to motor. Over to Ethan Brookes now.

  20. Postpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 1 August

    Worcs 182-2 (Target: 358) v Hants

Worcs are fighting for their Division One survival here and it is very, very entertaining stuff.

They needed 180 off 19 overs at 9.47 at the start of this over and Jake Libby has just reduced that by four first ball from Eddie Jack.
