    Kent 301-6 v Worcestershire 618-7d

Kent fall three runs short of the bonus point. Joe Leach concedes a four to Beyers Swanepoel off his final ball of the over but it's no use to Kent as they are stuck on 297-6.

Jack Leaning then brings the 300 up with a boundary from the first ball of the 111th over from Ben Gibbon.

    One ball too late.

Sussex lasted just nine balls after the resumption. James Coles is stranded on 61 not out.

Glamorgan will need 56 runs to win. They should have at least 25 overs this evening to get them.

Another wicket for Nottinghamshire and it's the BIG one, it's the one they wanted.

Keaton Jennings swipes at one just outside off stump and Tom Moores catches it at first slip - at the second attempt.

Lancashire, still 135 behind, are staring down the barrel here.

The Red Rose had a long time in the field and I wonder about some weary legs and weary minds.

That's not what Lancashire supporters wanted to see.

An incredible caught and bowled. Truly incredible from Sean Abbott.

A sedate session springs to life as Abbott fires in a ball which Ed Barnard shapes to drive back along the track. The bowler somehow reacts in an instant and gets his body down to take a two-handed catch a couple of inches off the pitch.

Instinctive. Fearless. Superb. And breaks a 75-run partnership, Warwickshire are effectively 44-5. Jacob Bethell joins Sam Hain.

  7. Postpublished at 17:14 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 165-4

Ed Barnard moves to 44* for Warwickshire with a clip square on the leg side which looks like a single as it races across the practice pitches towards Kemar Roach, fielding just inside the rope. Something happened, only Roach knows, but a moment later he's spilled the ball over the rope for a boundary.

  8. WICKET: Bell c Harrison b Pennington 5published at 17:14 12 May

    Notts 503 v Lancashire 331 & 33-3

Dillon Pennington has done it again!

George Bell is caught at second slip by Calvin Harrison and the big quick bowler has 3-13 from 5.5 overs.

Much depends on captain Keaton Jennings for Lancashire now.

    Northants 97-1 v Glos - target 558

Northants are making a good fist of trying to save the game against Gloucestershire, losing just the one wicket in their first 28 overs.

A long way to go yet, though.

Opener Emilio Gay, who went for a first-ball duck in the first innings, has reached his half-century in the second.

Earlier, Northants were set a mammoth 558 to win after Gloucestershire declared on 319-5.

    Kent 281-6 v Worcestershire 618-7d

Drinks at Canterbury. And they are needed on a day like today. Barely a cloud in the sky all day in the Garden of England.

Beyers Swanepoel has a breezy 13 while Jack Leaning has moved to 120. Their partnership is worth 31 from 49 deliveries.

The deficit is still an unfathomable 337. There are still 22 overs left in the day.

Dillon Pennington, boosted by those two quick Lancashire wickets in his previous over, really has his tail up. There are four in the slip cordon waiting for an edge.
