You'd imagine the end is pretty much in sight now.

  2. Postpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 12 May

    Glamorgan 411 v Sussex 278 & 172-7

Andy Gorvin picks up his fourth wicket as he pins Danny Lamb for five.

James Coles remains there on 60, with the hopes of Sussex squarely on his shoulders.

The visitors lead has ticked up to 39.

  3. wicket

WICKET: Pennington lbw b Hartley 0published at 14:59 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 459-9 v Lancashire 331

Lancashire's England spinner Tom Hartley finally gets a wicket next to his name at the end of his 32nd over, bowling Dillon Pennington for a duck.

Notts' lead at Trent Bridge is up to 128 as number 11 Dane Paterson joins opener Haseeb Hameed, who has been truly exceptional in his 221 not out.

  4. 200 runs

200 up for Kentpublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 200-5 v Worcestershire 618-7d

Joey Evison brings up the 200 with his first boundary, moving to seven from 31 balls. He absolutely smote a wide one from Matthew Waite through the covers.

46 overs and change left in the day. 96 to come tomorrow.

  5. Second batting point for Durhampublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 300-5

David Bedingham and Graham Clark have steered Durham to a second batting bonus point and within 54 runs of the follow-on mark.

There are still 18 overs until the 110-over cut-off for bonus points, so you'd fancy they'll get at least one more from their batting effort.

  6. Gloucestershire declare - Northants need 558 to winpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 12 May

    Northants 171 v Glos 409 & 319-5 dec

Graeme van Buuren's dismissal for an entertaining 67 off 57 balls brings about a declaration from visitors Gloucestershire.

Cameron Bancroft ends unbeaten on 130.

Northants need a mammoth 558 runs to win, but really it's all about them batting out the remaining four and a half sessions of the match to secure a draw.

  7. wicket

WICKET: Rhodes c Foakes b Clark 21published at 14:50 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 69-2

Jordan Clark lulls Will Rhodes into a trap across a couple of overs, changing his angle, getting one to spit up from back of a length. Rhodes felt he had to play it, the ball catches the edge and Ben Foakes makes another catch look simple.

The 51-run partnership with Rob Yates is broken.

Sam Hain is the new man in. The deficit is 52.

  8. new ball

New ball taken by Worcestershirepublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 198-5 v Worcestershire 618-7d

A new dimension to this game. Matthew Waite, the golden arm today, has a fresh cherry in his hand at the Nackington Road end as the first 80 overs of the Kent reply are up.

Kent are still 270 shy of the follow-on target.

  9. 'Magnificent effort' from Hameedpublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 443-8 v Lancashire 331

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Haseeb Hameed got there with his 101st single - over half of the runs in his 200 not out coming in ones.

Nothing says a Haseeb Hameed double-century like half of your runs coming in singles.

Brilliant, well batted, it's a magnificent effort.

  10. 'Sensational from the boy from Bolton'published at 14:40 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 438-8 v Lancashire 331

Haseeb Hameed gets his double-hundred and that is sensational from the boy from Bolton, who delivers after almost nine hours at the crease.

He rattles off a double-century for the first time in his career and, for the third match in a row, Notts have a double centurion.

  11. 'Scoring has slowed just a touch'published at 14:38 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 63-1

    Melinda Farrell
    Sports broadcaster/journalist

The scoring has slowed just a touch, it's going a bit over five an over.

But after we've seen the change-up bowlers coming on, it just has slowed a little bit, which is what you would probably expect.

  12. wicket

WICKET: Stone b Bailey 90published at 14:36 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 438-8 v Lancashire 331

Ah - such a shame for Olly Stone, who falls 10 runs short of a maiden first-class hundred.

Tom Bailey rips out his off stump to end a partnership of 163 between Stone and Haseeb Hameed.

That's Lancashire's first wicket on day three.

  13. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 12 May

    Glamorgan 411 v Sussex 278 & 151-6

In Division Two, Sussex have lost their sixth wicket in Cardiff. Fynn Hudson-Prentice has fallen for 70 off 74 balls, with Andy Gorvin taking his third wicket of the innings.

    Their lead is just 18.

  14. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 193-5 v Worcestershire 618-7d

Brett D'Oliveira has bowled 14 overs of leg spin and conceded only 25 runs.

Not sure we'll see too much more as there is a new ball available in three overs or so.

The problem with Kent's predicament is they are trying to play safe and ticking along around two-and-a-half runs an over and thoughts of more than one batting bonus point are probably fairly far-fetched.

  15. Notts captain Hameed makes 200published at 14:32 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 437-7 v Lancashire 331

    Brilliant!

Haseeb Hameed runs a quick single and gets to 200 for the first time in his career - against his former county, too.

A wonderful moment for the Nottinghamshire captain, who punches the air and waves his bat to all corners of Trent Bridge.

His team-mates give him a huge round of applause from the balcony of the home dressing room.

  16. Bedingham is a 21st century boypublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 275-5

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

David Bedingham has just scored his 21st century in first-class cricket and his 12th for Durham.

Like many of the others, he really got stuck in here and has grafted hard to keep his side in the game. The duel between him and spinner Liam Dawson has been a joy to watch as well.

The left-armer has been finding some rough around Bedingham's heel line and there have been a few near misses and nervous moments, with balls skidding on.

The hundred took 193 balls, which is a sign of the work needed on this track to get runs on the board. But as things stand, only two wickets have fallen today as Durham edge towards their follow-on target of 354.

  17. wicket

WICKET: Finch c Jones b Waite 26published at 14:29 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 192-5 v Worcestershire 618-7d

The 57-run partnership is broken and it's the golden arm of Matthew Waite again. He has 3-30 after tempting Harry Finch into an ill-advised push which only sends the ball looping to Rob Jones who takes an ankle-high catch at extra cover.

Joey Evison, so often Kent's saviour, is the new man in the middle. The hosts need him to dig deep once again.

    426 behind.

  18. Postpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 60-1

Rob Yates was here for a good time, not a long time in the first innings.

He made 32 from 39 balls before being trapped in front by Sean Abbott in his second over.

He has 33 from 34 at the top of this innings.

Abbott is about to bowl his second over.

  19. 150 partnership for Hameed and Stonepublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 427-7 v Lancashire 331

When play began at Trent Bridge this morning, this game was in the balance, but Nottinghamshire have seized the initiative thanks to a magnificent unbroken eighth-wicket partnership of 152 between Haseeb Hameed and Olly Stone.

Both batters are approaching milestones - Hameed has 191 and will soon have been at the crease for nine hours, while Stone is on 89 and 11 runs away from a maiden first-class hundred.

    Notts' lead is 96.

  20. 'Excellent from Bedingham'published at 14:20 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 268-5

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

An excellent effort from David Bedingham again.

He takes his helmet off and wipes his brow, he raises his bat to the pavilion and his team-mates on the balcony stand up and give him applause.

That's his 21st first-class century and his 12th for Durham. He got five last year.
