  1. 50 runs

50 partnership for Kentpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 246-5 v Worcestershire 618-7d

Another building block for the hosts at Canterbury.

Jack Leaning contributed 23 while 22 came from Joey Evison.

A bonus point in the over before tea would please the sun-drenched home faithful.

  2. Durham close in on follow-on targetpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 332-6 (tea)

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Only one wicket fell during the afternoon session and that was an error from Durham, but also a result of some fine fielding as well.

Durham were 219-5 when Graham Clark joined David Bedingham in the middle and they had added 111 runs when Clark was run out on 32.

He played at a ball from Liam Dawson, which he missed, but so too did the keeper. Bedingham called him through for a single, but Clark was a little late to react. James Fuller, fielding at short fine leg, then hit the stumps at the bowler's end from about 45 yards.

22 more runs are needed to avoid the follow-on, which shouldn't be too much of a problem on this track. Who knows? There may be some unexpected drama around the corner. But it's not been that type of game.

  3. Postpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 122-4

Dan Worrall offers Ed Barnard some width and he doesn't need to be asked twice... dispatching the ball through the covers to the fence to move to 19.

Barnard scored a vital 108 in the first innings and how his side would love him to repeat the feat here.

A single moves him to 20 and takes Warwickshire into a one-run lead.

  4. Tea at Northamptonpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 12 May

    Northants 56-1 v Glos - target 558

Ajeet Singh Dale has taken the only Northants wicket to fall before tea, trapping Ricardo Vasconcelos lbw.

The home side have reached 56-1 at tea on day three, needing a nominal 558 for victory.

  5. 'Century will mean a lot to Leaning'published at 15:49 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 232-5 v Worcestershire 618-7d

    Matt Cole
    BBC Radio Kent

That's a beauty and what a way to bring up your century by Jack Leaning. A long, long innings of 357 minutes from him with eight fours.

He takes off his helmet and salutes the balcony. That is his first first-class century since the end of the 2022 season.

That'll mean a lot to him and could still mean a lot for Kent in the context of this match.

    Such an important innings.

  6. 100 runs

100 for Jack Leaningpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 232-5 v Worcestershire 618-7d

This is the ninth first-class century of Jack Leaning's career. Only time will tell how important it is.

It's come from 249 balls, brought up with his eighth four, clipped beautifully through midwicket off Jason Holder.

In terms of his season, it might prove highly important. The 30-year-old had made only 108 runs in his first eight innings of the summer.

He's spent three minutes shy of six hours in the middle, put the team on his back, and has something to show for it.

Kent's next target will be 250 and a batting bonus point.

  7. Tea at Utilita Bowlpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 332-6

The players head off for tea in Southampton with Durham needing 22 more runs to avoid the follow-on. Should they get there, a draw becomes a very heavy favourite.

The run-out of Graham Clark for 32 was the only wicket of the afternoon session, while David Bedingham has progressed to 135 not out.

    Glamorgan 411 v Sussex 278 & 172-8 (play halted)

The forecast thunderstorms are rumbling around Cardiff and, despite it not actually raining, the players have been taken off the field for an early tea.

Glamorgan will be frustrated, the forecast for tomorrow suggests a complete washout and Sussex are effectively 53-8.

Andrew Gorvin has taken a career best 5-40 and Mir Hamza 3-32, with the only Sussex resistance an excellent partnership of 115 between Fynn Hudson-Prentice and James Coles, who is still there on 60 not out.

  9. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 490-9 v Lancashire 331

Lancashire are trying in vain to end Nottinghamshire's marathon first innings, which is now into a 149th over.

Haseeb Hameed, who is up to 240 not out now, is farming the strike and sapping some more energy from what is sure to be a tiring visiting outfit.

When Lancashire eventually get the chance to bat again, they'll face a deficit of in excess of 150.

  10. 100 runs

100 up for Warwickshirepublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 101-4

Sam Hain takes his side into three figures with a lovely stroke to the fence off Kemar Roach, punched off the back foot through the covers.

Did not even take a stride towards a run. A no-doubter.

Still 20 behind though. With only six wickets in hand.

  11. 'That was the last thing Warwickshire needed'published at 15:30 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 96-4

    Melinda Farrell
    Sports broadcaster/journalist

The intention was definitely there from Dan Mousley, the execution not so much.

He was always going to attack but he's been out-foxed by a wiley and experienced Kemar Roach.

That was the last thing that Warwickshire needed because at the moment this day has swung back and forwards several times and they were looking like they could cut the deficit down and actually get a lead.

But now four wickets down, it starts to change the way that teams tend to bat as well.

  12. wicket

WICKET: Clark run out 32published at 15:28 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 330-6

A wicket out of absolutely nothing for Hampshire!

Graham Clark is called through for a single by David Bedingham after playing and missing at a Felix Organ delivery, and a brilliant piece of work by James Fuller throws down the stumps at the non-striker's end with Clark out of his ground.

  13. rain stops play

Rain stops play in Cardiffpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 12 May

    Glamorgan 411 v Sussex 278 & 172-8

Intriguing subplot at Sophia Gardens as James Coles and Ari Karvelas have been putting up stubborn resistance for Sussex as the skies darken.

A hefty summer storm is rolling in and the players are off. The visitors' lead has swelled to 53.

    Frustrating for Glamorgan.

  14. wicket

WICKET: Mousley lbw b Roach 3published at 15:21 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 90-4

Another for Kemar Roach, who has 3-28, Dan Mousley tries to play across the line, missed the ball, gets pinned in front. Easiest decision of the day.

That's three quick wickets for the addition of just 21 runs.

The champions are getting a stranglehold on this one.

    Ed Barnard joins Sam Hain.

  15. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 317-5

Sedate progress in the past few overs from Durham, with centurion David Bedingham and Graham Clark extending their sixth-wicket stand to 98.

They need 37 more to avoid the follow-on.

  16. Postpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 474-9 v Lancashire 331

Not a phrase you often say about Haseeb Hameed, but he is going a lot more attacking alongside number 11 Dane Paterson.

Hameed is up to 228 not out, although he's taken a single from the first ball of a Tom Bailey over, leaving Paterson to face the remaining five... the first of them is edged between wicketkeeper and first slip for a boundary.

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 86-3

Big scalp for Kemar Roach from his second ball of his latest spell.

Rob Yates has played some marvellous shots this week. This was not one of them. He tries to pull a ball which was not short enough, swings over the flight and sees his off-stump sent cart-wheeling.

An inspired bowling change from Rory Burns and Warwickshire are three down and still 35 in arrears. Dan Mousley joins Sam Hain, upon whom a lot of hopes now rest.

  18. wicket

WICKET: Carson lbw b Gorvin 1published at 15:08 British Summer Time 12 May

    Glamorgan 411 v Sussex 278 & 172-8

It's a maiden career five-wicket haul for Andy Gorvin and Glamorgan are turning the screw in Cardiff.

Gorvin's 5-36 is just a bit better than the 3-88 which was his best when he woke up this morning.

James Coles is joined by Ari Karvelas. The Sussex lead is 39.

  19. 'Yates has coped with the moving ball'published at 15:07 British Summer Time 12 May

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

Well batted Rob Yates, he's coped with the moving ball. He's played it late and he's played it well.

    He's played some lovely shots.

His fourth of the season has come from 64 balls, brought up with a single off Jordan Clark. Some glorious shots along the way, showing real class. Eight of them boundaries.

This is the 24-year-old's ninth first-class half-century. For the record, he has 10 centuries. Some player.
