  1. 'Don't count Sussex out of this contest'published at 13:20 British Summer Time 12 May

    Glamorgan 411 v Sussex 278 & 111-5 (lunch)

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

From the depths of 32-5 having lost five wickets for 10 runs, Sussex have counter-attacked through James Coles and Fynn Hudson-Prentice, who have added 79 in just 14 overs.

Earlier, Mir Hamza had wreaked havoc with the Sussex top order blown away in a spell of 3-17.

Wickets have fallen in clusters in this game, which will give Glamorgan hope that they can win this game before the forecast deluge on Monday.

However, Sussex are battling hard to retain their unbeaten start to the season. In a game that has already produced a partnership of 315, don't count Sussex out of this contest.

  2. 'Big ask for Warwickshire to save the game'published at 13:15 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 4-0 (lunch)

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

The foundations were put in by Rory Burns and Don Sibley with a partnership of 88 and when they went Ollie Pope then continued, Ben Foakes continued with 52.

There was a little bit of a collapse in the middle order but Sean Abbott came in and did a repair job, underpinning the whole innings was the beautiful 155 from Jamie Smith.

Craig Miles has been the pick of the bowlers for Warwickshire but sadly he had to limp out yesterday evening.

But this now is a big ask for Warwickshire to save the game.

  3. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 179-4 v Worcestershire 618-7d

The good news for Kent is that Jack Leaning is still there. He has moved onto 75 from 170 balls, by some distance his most significant contribution of the young season.

Worcestershire did however manage to pick up a couple of precious scalps as within the space of five deliveries, Matthew Waite beat Daniel Bell-Drummond's outside edge to bowl him for 67 and then pinned Joe Denly lbw for a five-ball duck soon after.

It's all a question of Leaning and Harry Finch (21*) batting time as the numbers remain intimidating for Kent. 439 behind. 289 to avoid the follow on. 67 overs left in the day and potentially 96 to come tomorrow.

  4. Lunch at Sophia Gardenspublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 12 May

    Glamorgan 411 v Sussex 278 & 111-5

Sussex have done well to steady the ship after the early losses of their first five wickets in their second innings.

Fynn Hudson-Prentice (48 not out) and James Coles (30 not out) have helped the visitors recover from 32-5 to reach 111-5 at lunch.

They still trail Glamorgan by 22 at the first break on day three.

  5. Lunch at Northamptonpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 12 May

    Northants 171 v Glos 409 & 202-3

Still advantage Gloucestershire in this Division Two contest.

Cameron Bancroft's 91 not out has helped the visitors into a lead of 440 at lunch on day three, and a second-innings declaration will most likely be in the offing during the afternoon session in Northampton.

  6. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 394-7 v Lancashire 331

Definitely Nottinghamshire's morning at Trent Bridge.

Lancashire have bowled 31 overs without success and Notts' eighth-wicket stand between Haseeb Hameed and Olly Stone is worth 119 as the players head off for lunch on day three.

Stone has made a career-best 68 not out and Hameed is 17 runs away from a maiden first-class double century.

  7. Lunch at The Ovalpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343 & 4-0

Dan Lawrence takes the new ball and opens the bowling. Yes, Dan Lawrence. It is the only over before lunch, I suppose. Some method in the madness.

Rob Yates carves him away through point for four from the very first ball of the innings and seven come from the over.

The Warwickshire deficit at the interval is 114 - thanks almost entirely to Jamie Smith's sublime 155 this morning, and Sean Abbott's swashbuckling 50*.

  8. Lunch at Utilita Bowlpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 225-5

Durham made it through the first 90 minutes of day three without losing a wicket, but Liam Dawson struck twice in quick succession to remove Potts and Ollie Robinson to give Hampshire some hope of a victory push.

354 is the key number for Durham - if they can make it to that score in their first innings, they'll avoid the follow-on and make a draw the most likely outcome.

Bedingham is still there on 76 not out.

  9. Postpublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 178-4 v Worcestershire 618-7d

Harry Finch moves to 20* in some style as he steps back to make some space and then punches through the covers off the back foot to the rope.

The run-rate has just ticked up a notch in the last four or five overs with the introduction of spin.

It's by no means nerveless though, Jack Leaning is a whisker away from chopping onto his timbers as he tries to cut Ben Gibbon away behind point. He has 75. The partnership is 42 from 115 deliveries.

  10. 'Damage done by Smith and Abbott partnership'published at 12:56 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM

Warwickshire are going to have to come out for an awkward over before lunch.

Damage has been done by that big partnership between Jamie Smith and Sean Abbott. This game has moved on rapidly this morning.

  11. Postpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 391-7 v Lancashire 331

Lancashire paceman Tom Bailey is bowling off spin at Trent Bridge as the visitors continue their search for a first wicket of day three.

Olly Stone is on a career-best 67 not out.

  12. wicket

WICKET: Worrall c Yates b Barnard 0 - Surrey all outpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464 v Warwickshire 343

Warwickshire miss out on the bowling bonus point by just an over. Ed Barnard finishes the innings with two in four balls as Dan Worrall glances behind and Rob Yates takes another incredible catch, diving to his right to end the innings.

The lead is 121. This is pretty much what you'd have thought Surrey's blueprint will have been.

Jamie Smith was the hero with 155 but Sean Abbott finished unbeaten on a near run-a-ball 50 and their record 115-run ninth wicket stand against Warwickshire has given them something to bowl at this afternoon.

  13. 'Didn't expect Robinson to depart so quickly'published at 12:48 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 219-5

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Ollie Robinson didn't get forward enough to a ball that appeared quite low. That is a massive wicket.

He's played the wrong line, it's clipped the outside of the off stump.

A big wicket - from the Durham point of view AND a Hampshire point of view.

I didn't expect to see him departing so quickly after six consecutive half-centuries in first-class cricket.

  14. wicket

WICKET: Smith c Davies b Barnard 155published at 12:47 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464-9 v Warwickshire 343

A standing ovation for a special knock. Jamie Smith goes for 155.

Alex Davies makes a running, tumbling, excellent catch in the deep to end his vigil after slightly slicing an attempted hoik over long-off off Ed Barnard.

Dan Worrall is the new man in.

  15. 50 runs

50 for Sean Abbottpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 464-8 v Warwickshire 343

He averages 50 for Surrey, and now he has 50 for Surrey, in his first appearance of the summer. His 16th first-class half-century.

    The lead is 121.

  16. Postpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 12 May

    Kent 157-4 v Worcestershire 618-7d

Brett D'Oliveira is coming on to bowl so we will see some spin for the first time today, 20 minutes before lunch.

21 runs added from 83 balls between Jack Leaning, who is on 64, and Harry Finch, who has just moved into double figures.

Kent just want the session to end with no further damage.

  17. wicket

WICKET: Robinson b Dawson 1published at 12:41 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 219-5

A rare failure for Ollie Robinson and a big wicket for Hampshire.

Robinson had made half-centuries in all five of his County Championship innings in 2024 before Durham's visit to Utilita Bowl, but he is bowled by Liam Dawson for just a single here.

Left-arm spinner Dawson now has figures of 4-91 from his 29 overs.

Having looked in a good position to avoid the follow-on, those two quick wickets have made that a much tougher proposition for Durham.

  18. 'Potts knew he made a mistake with a risky shot'published at 12:40 British Summer Time 12 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 215-4

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent

Matthew Potts knew he made a mistake there, that is a risky shot on the on-side with the ball turning out of the rough.

You don't know what speed it is coming at out of the rough, you don't know how much it's turning and he's paid the price.

He goes for 34 but he's done his job. He's done well.

  19. 450 up for Surreypublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 12 May

    Surrey 450-8 v Warwickshire 343

... with seven balls to spare. Did you have any doubt? That's a century partnership too. Sean Abbott is on to 40*.

Warwickshire can nab a bowling point if they can oust one of these two batters in the next over.

  20. 50 for Olly Stonepublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 12 May

    Notts 359-7 v Lancashire 331

Olly Stone has been a more than able partner for Haseeb Hameed and the Notts' number nine has made it to 50 for only the second time in his first-class career.

His highest score is 60, so he's closing in on another personal milestone too.
