The finger goes straight up from the umpire Nigel Llong. Kyle Verreynne goes for 13 as he got himself in a real tangle with that delivery.

Matt Fisher has his third wicket. A good bit of bowling from him.

Josh Tongue 'feels' for the first couple he faces from Matt Fisher.

He may feel he'll be bowling soon because he gets nowhere near them.

A wicket maiden for Fisher who now has 3-36 from 15 overs.

    Verreynne lbw b Fisher 13 (Surrey v Notts 187-8)

Matt Fisher with a third wicket.

He gets one thudding into Kyle Verreynne's pads and up goes the finger very quickly.

Verreynne stands for a couple of seconds but it's probably hitting leg stump.

Josh Tongue is the next man to face this battery of seamers.

  4. Postpublished at 16:23 BST 15 September

    Surrey v Notts 187-7

    Dan Worrall is swinging it.

He goes past a couple of Brett Hutton prods with decent away swingers.

A bouncer then flies over Hutton's head and that of wicketkeeper Ben Foakes for four wides.

The response is another away swinger past the edge.

'Groping' would be a good description of Hutton's attempt to connect with that final ball.

I think Surrey have been good with the ball today. They've been very disciplined and very tight.

They've bowled some beautiful deliveries today.

Brett Hutton greets Matt Fisher's second ball with a crunching drive for four runs.

Notts need to get to 250 to register a batting bonus point.

It looks a long way away at the moment.

Surrey already have two bowling points.

There are 33 overs remaining and by the end of today, if the weather holds, you can easily see Surrey out there and we can see how they get on in these conditions against the Nottinghamshire bowlers.

  9. Postpublished at 16:10 BST 15 September

Another over from Gus Atkinson passes by.

It won't surprise you to learn it's a maiden.

He may be tiring a little though.

Dan Worrall, bowling around the wicket to Liam Patterson-White, shouts for an lbw.

The angle means it's doing too much and probably missing a second set of stumps.

But he's on the money with the final ball of his over...

The Australian finds the outside edge of Patterson-White and Ben Foakes does the rest for his fourth catch of the day.

    Brett Hutton is in.

  11. Postpublished at 16:00 BST 15 September

    Surrey v Notts 173-6

Gus Atkinson continues his excellent spell.

Only a single from that over.

Liam Patterson-White and Kyle Verreynne have a chat in the middle of the pitch.

There are still 34 overs remaining in the day.

  12. Postpublished at 15:56 BST 15 September

Liam Patterson-White adds another boundary with a cover drive for four.

Five runs come from that Dan Worrall over.

  16. Not so amazing at Grace Roadpublished at 15:51 BST 15 September

Leicestershire v Kent - no play on day one

They didn't even make it as far as the planned 4:00pm inspection at Grace Road.

Umpires Hassan Adnan and Simon Widdup decided at 3:40 that no play will be possible because of the potential danger to groundstaff from trying to remove the covers in a fierce wind.

Hopefully this one can get underway tomorrow, with Leicestershire looking to secure the Division Two title.

  17. 'A fairly tame dismissal'published at 15:50 BST 15 September

    Surrey v Notts 163-6

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

It was a fairly tame dismissal in the end, Lyndon James looking to try and work it through the leg side for a boundary to just try and relive the pressure and he's clipped into the hands of Ryan Patel at mid-wicket.

And that is curtains at Hove.

No play possible and that isn't good news for either side.

Their only consolation is that Durham's game against Worcestershire didn't get started either.

Sussex and Yorkshire are respectively 12 and nine points clear of next to bottom Durham.
