This is going to be an extremely challenging score for England.

  2. SA 319-6published at 48 overs

Nine off the over, including one four thumped down the ground by Bosch, but all things considered, that's pretty good damage limitation from Will Jacks there.

However, Jacob Bethell and Will Jacks' combined 10 overs have cost 1-112.

Saqib Mahmood and Jofra Archer will now close out the innings.

    Close!

Senuran Muthusamy survives a run out after sprinting back for the second.

Corbin Bosch crucially keeps the strike.

  4. SA 310-6published at 47 overs

The dot balls were just starting to build but Saqib Mahmood releases the pressure with a full toss, which is slapped through the covers by Corbin Bosch.

Three overs left, one apiece for Archer and Mahmood, so Harry Brook turns to Will Jacks.

South Africa have got to go after him here.

You have time in a 50-over cricket match to change the tempo and South Africa have done that well. Hopefully England have noticed that.

330 should be a minimum from here.

  6. SA 303-6published at 46 overs

Senuran Muthusamy brings up South Africa's 300 with a reverse sweep for four.

Will be some effort if they can push on to 340-350 from here.

Dewald Brevis has thrown the kitchen sink at almost every ball he has faced. He tried to go over extra cover but if your weight is falling away from the ball, you lose the control.

    A brilliant cameo.

That is a wicket just in time for England.

    And it pays off!

Dewald Brevis continues to be aggressive but slaps the ball to Adil Rashid at point, and that feels crucial.

Brevis was flying with 42 from 20 balls, so that could've saved England quite a few to chase.

    Right then.

    Jacob Bethell continues...

  11. SA 295-5published at 45 overs

    And that's Adil Rashid done.

    A class apart with 2-33.

Dewald Brevis is picking out all the stands. He got a bullseye for hitting the pavilion.

    Sixes are coming at will.

He goes again! Too short from Brydon Carse and Brevis was on to it in a flash. The ball sails over square leg.

Carse finishes his spell with 0-68.

Archer and Rashid have one over left each, Mahmood has two.

    Harry Brook has a headache.

Across all formats, Dewald Brevis averages 48.2 playing shots off the back foot against pace this year, a significant improvement after averaging just 23.9 off the back foot in 2024.

I would bowl Adil Rashid next and have him running down the slope. It is a bit of a gamble but worth it to try and get Dewald Brevis out.

I was looking forward to watching Dewald Brevis during this series and he's delivering so far!

Back-to-back sixes for the 22-year-old - the first launched down the ground and the second is huge, possibly out of the ground.

He's taken a liking to Jacob Bethell here, who has bowled four overs for 53!

This is already South Africa's highest ODI score against England at Lord's.

  20. SA 263-5published at 42 overs

Up and over the keeper for four!

Dewald Brevis needs to put that out of his mind for now. If he scores a quickfire 50, Stubbs might accept an apology.
