    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 94-5 - Worcs require 300

    Nikki Chaudhuri
Surrey bowler on BBC Radio Solent

Brilliant fielding by Middleton at cover.

D’Oliveira heads back to the pavilion after failing to get off the mark and losing that wicket not in the ideal way.

It was quite a tight single to take on.

Everyone was taken by surprise, it was brilliant fielding.

  2. Postpublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 177-5 - target 393

This really is attritional stuff now.

Somerset are fighting hard to avoid losing further wickets before stumps and Lancashire are pressing for another breakthrough.

The umpires check the ball before Will Williams continues.

James Rew fails to capitalise on a half volley, but there are three runs from the over. Nine more to come.

  3. NORTHAMPTONSHIRE BEAT LEICESTERSHIRE BY NINE WICKETSpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 19 September

    Northants 383 & 137-1 v Leics 203 & 316

It's taken far longer on this third day than it seemed would be likely but Northamptonshire have eventually wrapped up a comprehensive win over Leicestershire.

At 92-7 and still trailing by a long chalk, it looked like the margin of victory would be by an innings.

Scott Currie then made his maiden first-class hundred and Sam Wood a maiden fifty in century stands for both the eighth and ninth wickets.

But there's been no drama in the chase and Northants have gobbled up this target of 137 with an unbeaten 68 from captain Luke Procter and George Bartlett's 54 not out.

Northants take their second win of the season and move above Leicestershire in the table.

Northants travel to Yorkshire in the final round next week, while the Foxes host Derbyshire.

  4. wicket

WICKET D'Oliveira run out (Middleton) 0published at 17:23 British Summer Time 19 September

    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 89-5 - Worcs require 305

    Brilliant fielding by Fletcha Middleton!

He only has one stump to aim at fielding at cover but he gets it spot on and Pears skipper Brett D'Oliveira is short of his ground as he comes back.

    That took everyone by surprise!

From a Hampshire point of view that's a huge bonus wicket, but what a way for Worcestershire to lose a wicket in this scenario.

  5. Postpublished at 17:15 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 169-5 - target 393

Big edge by James Rew, but it doesn't carry to George Bell at slip and runs away between his legs, allowing the Somerset batsmen to come back for a second as keeper Matty Hurst chases the ball down.

Another good over by Lancashire. They are finding more in this pitch than Somerset did during the morning.

  6. wicket

WICKET Hose c Vince b Dawson 6published at 17:09 British Summer Time 19 September

    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 80-4 - Worcs require 314

    Different bowler, same catcher!

James Vince snaffles another sharp chance as Adam Hose takes a dubious prod at Liam Dawson's ball.

That is Dawson's 50th wicket of the season - the first time he has reached that milestone.

He now only has Jamie Porter and Dan Worrall in front of him on the wickets leaderboard.

  7. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 167-5 - target 393

    Is that a chance? Yes

Kasey Aldridge miscues a pull shot off Tom Bailey but Anderson Phillip fails to take it as he dives forward after sprinting in from mid-wicket.

Good news for Somerset. They need these two together at the close.

  8. Postpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 19 September

    Glam 239 & 101-5 v Yorks 361 & 273

This game looks already beyond the reach of Glamorgan but there are battles to be won and Asa Tribe is winning his.

The 20-year-old opener had only two first-class matches under his belt coming into this and bagged a pair on the second of them against Sussex last week.

But after being dismissed for four in the first innings here, he has proved he is not out of his depth in the second.

His 96-ball 31 has not been a thriller but his concentration and application has been creditable and will do wonders for his confidence.

  9. 100 up for Northamptonshirepublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 19 September

    Northants 107-1 - target 137 v Leics

This is a breeze now for Northants as Luke Procter pulls Sam Wood to fine leg to bring the hundred up.

And follows up by cutting a wide ball past cover.

30 more needed. 10 overs left in the day.

  10. Postpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 161-5 - target 393

James Rew shapes to flick Tom Bailey away but he doesn't make contact with the bat and it's four leg byes. That's the only addition in the 47th over of the innings.

Will Williams returns at the other end as George Balderson is given a rest.

  11. 'A blow for Worcestershire'published at 16:57 British Summer Time 19 September

    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 71-3 - Worcs require 323

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

That’s as many wickets as they (Worcestershire) would want to lose tonight with 19 overs left in the day.

A blow for Worcestershire but not one they can’t overcome.

  12. wicket

WICKET: Cooke c Bairstow b Coad 2published at 16:56 British Summer Time 19 September

    Glam 239 & 94-5 v Yorks 361 & 273

It's four for Ben Coad who moves on to 298 first-class wickets with a belting delivery that leaves Chris Cooke, bags the edge and sails to Jonny Bairstow behind the stumps.

  13. Good catch by Vince to dismiss Jonespublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 19 September

    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 71-3 - Worcs require 323

    Dave Bradley
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

It's a good catch low down to his left.

Rob Jones had looked more comfortable against Abbas, he didn’t look comfortable against Dawson but he goes.

Not a great game with the bat for Jones.

  14. Postpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 157-5 - target 393

Kasey Aldridge has a first-class century to his credit - 101 not out against the same opponents on this very ground last summer.

They need something similar from him now with only five wickets remaining and their title chances seemingly fading away.

Just a single for James Rew from the latest George Balderson over.

  15. wicket

WICKET Jones c Vince b Abbas 9published at 16:51 British Summer Time 19 September

    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 67-3 - Worcs require 327

Worcestershire pair Jake Libby and Rob Jones had been coping well with everything thrown at them and looked in no rush at all to score runs.

But the partnership is broken as Jones edges to James Vince at second slip off Muhammad Abbas.

    Important wicket for Hampshire.

  16. wicket

WICKET: Kellaway c Lyth b Hill 4published at 16:49 British Summer Time 19 September

    Glam 239 & 91-4 v Yorks 361 & 273

Yorkshire are edging closer as Ben Kellaway edges George Hill to second slip.

He was squared up trying to push defensively but a thick edge has flown to Adam Lyth in the cordon and the opener makes no mistake.

Four down with Glamorgan still trailing by over 304 and around 20 overs left in the day.

  17. wicket

    Somerset 155-5 - target 393

We like the look of George Balderson. Great competitor, whether with bat or ball.

He's doing the latter job at the moment and there are very few deliveries which aren't challenging the Somerset batsmen.

That one is especially challenging and TKC can only nick it to first slip, where George Bell takes the catch.

Balderson has 2-10 in this spell, says BBC Radio Lancashire's Scott Read.

  18. Postpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 19 September

    Northants 80-1 - target 137 v Leics

Northants have broken the back of this chase.

Captain Luke Procter worked Rehan Ahmed around the corner for four to bring the fifty partnership up.

And then twice in an over Tom Scriven lost his line and was flicked to fine leg by George Bartlett for further boundaries.

57 to win now and 15 - plus eight if needed - overs remaining.

  19. Postpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 151-4 - target 393

Hands on heads for Lancashire's close fielders as James Rew leaves the final ball of Tom Bailey's over and it just misses off stump on its way through to the keeper.

  20. 150 runs

up for Somersetpublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 150-4 - target 393

Somerset reach 150 as Tom Kohler-Cadmore steers Tom Bailey uppishly to the third man boundary.

He is 18 not out and James Rew has yet to score.
