    Compton b Kellaway 48 (Glamorgan 327 v Kent 155 & 140-2)

Not one Ben Compton will want to watch again...

Two runs short of a half-century he attempts to sweep Ben Kellaway but completely misjudges the line and ball bounces under his bat and straight into the stumps.

A pretty horrible way to get out after what had been a watchful innings of 48 from 147 balls.

That's the first wicket down for Kent today who had been building slowly but surely - they are 32 runs behind Glamorgan.

  15. 'The wind might be good news'published at 11:47 British Summer Time 24 July

    Sussex 204 & 26-1 v Essex 504

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

You can hear the wind in our effects microphone and that might be good news.

We did have showers around late yesterday, and you can see the flags billowing away on the clock tower scoreboard, the white Essex flag and the blue of Sussex.

So, hopefully if there are any showers around they are going to get blown through quickly and fingers crossed. The weather forecast predicts there could be a bit of rain around later on today.

Sussex must not worry about that as they have got a lot of runs to score here.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Fletcha Middletonpublished at 11:44 British Summer Time 24 July

    Hants 107-1 v Notts 578-8d

A lovely drive down the ground brings Fletcha Middleton his half century.

A first wicket of the morning for Middlesex and they now have Northants five down and trailing by a mammoth 476.

Kent have added 26 without loss to their overnight score to reach 126-1 against Glamorgan.

Ben Compton is approaching a half-century and Chris Benjamin is on 29.

    Warks 184 v Worcs 333 & 54-0

First little milestone of the day for Worcestershire as they take their lead past 200.

Only very steady stuff, a scoring rate of two-an-over so far, but plenty of time to build up a match winning lead on this third day.

Gareth Roderick is 32 and Jake Libby on 18 at Edgbaston.

  19. 100 runs

100 up for Hampshirepublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 24 July

    Hants 101-1 v Notts 578-8d

Notts are finding out how hard it is to get wickets on this track with the Kookaburra ball.

They have got Joe Weatherley out but there's nothing happening for Josh Tongue - I wonder if he'd rather be back watching at Old Trafford?

The home side's 100 has taken 40 overs.
