Derbyshire celebrate taking a wicket against LeicestershireImage source, Rex Features

Luis Reece has 10 wickets in the match but Derbyshire are still under the pump.

Reece picked up the first four wickets to fall this morning and Alex Thomson has three.

Ian Holland (46*) has played well and Leicestershire have stretched their lead to 345 runs.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 24 July

    Bell-Drummond c sub b Leonard 22 (Glamorgan 327 v Kent 155 & 170-3)

Another interesting dismissal after Ben Compton's ill-advised sweep earlier.

Daniel Bell-Drummond attempts to pull Ned Leonard's bouncer but the ball flies up in the air for the sub wicketkeeper to take an easy catch.

But the Kent skipper didn't seem convinced he was out and stood his ground, shaking his head before the umpire's finger was raised - he didn't look happy with the decision when it came either!

It's hard to see what it came off on the replay but the umpire thinks its out so its out.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 24 July

    Kimber lbw b Thomson 8 (Derbys 189 v Leics 398 & 131-7)

    Another for Alex Thomson.

Louis Kimber had come in with intent and struck one six but he misses one and is trapped lbw.

    Leicestershire lead by 340 runs.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 24 July

    Prest c sub b Patterson-White 5 (Hants 173-4 v Notts 578-8d)

That's a gimme from Tom Prest and Notts are scenting blood.

Prest goes on the pull to Liam Patterson-White and only succeeds in skying a catch to the sub fielder, Calvin Harrison.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 24 July

    Ali c Ali b Rocchiccioli 0 (Warks 184 v Worcs 333 & 92-3)

A painful stay for Kashif Ali.

28 balls of trying and failing to get off the mark - and then he pulls a long hop straight to backward square!

Worcestershire still in command but have lost three in quick succession before lunch.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 24 July

    Trevaskis c Chappell b Thomson 1 (Derbys 189 v Leics 398 & 117-6)

This is deteriorating rapidly for the Division Two leaders.

The stay of Liam Trevaskis is a brief one as Alex Thomson has him caught for his second wicket of the innings.

    Leicestershire lead by 326 runs.

  7. 50 runs

50 for Saif Zaibpublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 24 July

    Middlesex 625-8 dec v Northants 206-6

Well done Saif Zaib who has held this Northants innings together in trying circumstances.

He has batted for a little over two hours and reached a half-century in 102 balls.

  8. Postpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 24 July

    Yorks 517-6d v Surrey 18-0

A tricky little period for Surrey to negotiate before lunch at Scarborough.

Matthew Revis’ superb hundred has them under pressure in reply here.

Dom Sibley and Rory Burns have seen it all before though and are steady so far.

  9. Postpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 24 July

    Sussex 204 & 62-2 v Essex 504

Simon Harmer is introduced to the Essex attack.

He clattered three sixes in reaching a rapid 50 with the bat earlier this morning.

Tom Alsop and James Coles will be aware of his threat.

    Sussex trail by 238 runs.

  10. 'There is still plenty of batting to come'published at 12:47 British Summer Time 24 July

    Sussex 204 & 62-2 v Essex 504

    Victoria Polley
    BBC Essex Sports Editor

I think this just a case of trying to stop any kind of partnership building.

Particularly knowing what James Coles was able to do in the first innings, with his 52.

There is still plenty of batting to come and they will want to make sure they don't give Sussex any kind of momentum to try and make a dent in this lead they have got.

  11. 6 runs

Postpublished at 12:44 British Summer Time 24 July

    Hants 159-3 v Notts 578-8d

Tilak Varam seems unperturbed by the loss of that third wicket and he clatters Farhan Ahmed straight down the ground for six.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 24 July

    Gubbins lbw b Patterson-White 23 (Hants 153-3 v Notts 578-8d)

Hampshire go past 150 but then lose their third wicket.

Nick Gubbins doesn't offer a shot - never a good idea and this time it isn't either as Liam Patterson-White picks up his first wicket.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 24 July

    Hill lbw b Thomson 22 (Derbys 189 v Leics 398 & 113-5)

Breaking news - a wicket has fallen and it's not Luis Reece who has taken it.

Alex Thomson pins Lewis Hill in front and he's the third centurion from the Leicestershire first innings who won't be repeating the dose.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 24 July

    Keogh c Cracknell b Cornwell 18 (Middlesex 625-8 dec v Northants 197-6)

A second of the morning for Middlesex and Northants lose their sixth batter.

Rob Keogh is tempted into a tickle down leg from Noah Cornwell and wicketkeeper Joe Cracknell does well to anticipate the touch and take a diving catch to his left.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 24 July

    Price c Wells b Hartley 31 (Lancs 557 v Glos 249-3)

Lancashire have a second wicket of the morning.

Poor stroke from Ollie Price as he leans back to cut Tom Hartley’s left-arm spin and gets a top edge to backward point.

Ben Charlesworth still goes very well on 137.

  16. Slow going as Kent resist strongly in Cardiffpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 24 July

    Glamorgan 327 v Kent 155 & 151-2 - Kent trail by 21

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Kent began the day at 106-1, 66 runs behind, and were helped by the absence of Timm van der Gugten from the home attack through injury while wicketkeeper Chris Cooke also left the field 30 minutes into the day, his problem not immediately obvious.

Ben Compton, who was leading the race towards 1,000 first-class runs as he needed 71 at the start of the day, was fortunate to survive an inside edge off James Harris on 44 but could not take advantage as he was bowled for 48 by off-spinner Ben Kellaway, coming across his stumps and missing a sweep.

The combination of a Kookaburra ball and a slow pitch meant no slip fielders and a slow scoring rate as Chris Benjamin and Daniel Bell-Drummond dragged Kent towards parity.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 24 July

    Libby c Rocchiccioli b Barnard 25 (Warks 184 v Worcs 333 & 84-2)

And now Worcestershire’s other opener, Jake Libby, is gone.

A bit of a struggle, 25 in 94 balls, before he pulls Ed Barnard straight to midwicket.

    Worcs lead by 234.

  18. 'That was a very good innings'published at 12:27 British Summer Time 24 July

    Yorks 517-6 dec v Surrey

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Yorkshire have done very well this morning.

That was a very good innings and well played Matthew Revis and he finishes 110 not out.

It was also good innings from Dom Bess on 45. Surrey will have roughly 40 minutes of batting before its time for lunch.

  19. 100 runs

100 up for Leicestershirepublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 24 July

    Derbys 189 v Leics 398 & 100-4

It's come at considerable cost but the Division Two leaders are heading over the hills and into the distance.

    They lead by 309 runs.

  20. 'May not be a lost cause'published at 12:21 British Summer Time 24 July

    Sussex 204 & 53-2 v Essex 504

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Sussex have a mountain to climb if they’re going to maintain their unbeaten home record under Paul Farbrace in the County Championship.

So far Sussex have been completely outplayed in this game, and with both openers already back in the pavilion it’ll need a monumental effort to save this game.

However this is a good wicket as Jordan Cox and Matt Critchley showed yesterday, and if they can bat with similar application this may not be a lost cause
