WICKETpublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 24 July

    Charlesworth st Salt b Hartley 160 (Glos 295-4 v Lancs 557)

Ben Charlesworth has fallen at Cheltenham, bringing his superb innings to an end.

Advancing at Tom Hartley he’s ran past it to be stumped by a long way.

Still plenty to do for the Glosters.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 24 July

    Benjamin b Harris 46 (Glamorgan 327 v Kent 155 & 181-4)

    Played on.

It hasn't taken long after lunch for another avoidable Kent wicket to go down - the third of the day.

Chris Benjamin falls four runs short of 50 as he reaches for James Harris' delivery wide of the off stump and drags the ball back onto his stumps.

Ben Compton was dismissed for 48 from 147 balls earlier and now Benjamin goes for a similar 46 from 133.

  3. 'Lloyd is in trouble'published at 13:57 British Summer Time 24 July

    Derbys 189 v Leics 398 & 158-7

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

David Lloyd is in trouble as he dived out the way, I think he got hit and he has taken off his helmet and his glasses and his arm is over his eyes because he is in a lot of pain.

The ball seemed to clip his right ankle as the ball went through him, that is twice now and one of the dangers of fielding at short leg.

  4. Rain delay at Edgbastonpublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 24 July

    Warks 184 v Worcs 333 & 104-3

A delay to the afternoon session in Birmingham.

  5. 150 runs

150 up for Leicestershirepublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 24 July

    Derbys 189 v Leics 398 & 151-7

They've already added 15 runs since lunch - it looks like Leicestershire are trying to get on with things.

    The lead is 360 runs.

  6. Postpublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 24 July

We're back under way in all our Division Two matches and that should be the case for Division One shortly too.

Although there looks like there might be slight weather delay at Edgbaston - we'll keep you posted of course.

Back out after lunch at Derby.

While wickets have been falling around him, Ian Holland has been standing firm on the deck.

He reaches 50 and the lead stretches to 355 runs.

  8. 'Sussex hoping batting becomes easier'published at 13:26 British Summer Time 24 July

    Lunch: Sussex 204 & 89-2 v Essex 504 - Sussex trail by 211 runs

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Some much welcome resistance from Tom Alsop and James Coles has helped Sussex recover from the loss of both openers with just 33 on the board.

The pair have added 56 for the third wicket and with the Kookaburra ball now 26 overs old Sussex will be hoping that batting becomes easier this afternoon.

However the odds are still heavily in favour of Essex with the arrears still 211.

  9. 'Worcestershire advance their already strong position'published at 13:17 British Summer Time 24 July

    Lunch: Warks 184 v Worcs 333 & 103-3

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

With time in hand, Worcestershire advanced their already strong position at a pedestrian rate this morning, as if careful not to squander the gains made on one of their best days of the season yesterday.

Again, a veil of grey cloud hung over the ground, making for a gloomy scene, but Warwickshire bowled with strict discipline, as if the team were offering penance for yesterday’s errors.

Despite that accuracy, the course of the match seemed set, but when Worcestershire decided that they ought to be taking the match down that route a little quicker, and tried to change gear, they were left spinning their wheels.

Gareth Roderick hit a brief salvo of boundaries to reach 50 before he, Jake Libby and Kashif Ali all fell to attacking strokes in the second half of the session, while runs dried up. Ed Barnard and Beau Webster were each rewarded with a wicket during a spell where only seven runs were scored in nine overs. Corey Rocchiccioli took over and snared Ali, fretful after 40 minutes on nought, who heaved to deep backward square leg.

Only Adam Hose advanced the score with any confidence, before rain arrived in the final over of a session in which Worcestershire added only 72.

They remain strongly placed, but the rain might make them fidget.

    Essex continue to dominate.

Sam Cook and Jamie Porter have one wicket apiece and Sussex still trail by 211 runs.

  12. Postpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 24 July

There does seem to be some light rain around a few of the grounds - let's hope the showers pass quickly over the interval and won't result in any delays.

  13. Lunch at Utilita Bowlpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 24 July

    Hants 184-4 v Notts 578-8d

Notts have picked up four wickets this morning which is a massive bonus considering the kookaburra ball and the nature of the wicket.

Nick Gubbins offered no shot and Tom Prest pulled one in the air to gift their wickets and the home side are under a bit of pressure as they trail by 394 runs.

The returning Josh Tongue, who was released from the England squad for the final two days of this game, has figures of 0-20 from his six overs.

  14. 'The clouds have come in a little bit'published at 13:10 British Summer Time 24 July

    Hants 180-4 v Notts 578-8d

    Amelia Clark
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It was very nice weather here this morning and probably the nicest of all three mornings.

But it does feel like the clouds have started to come in a little bit, they are not dark and too threatening - they have just taken away the sunshine.

The clouds haven't scared off the crowd and it is still quite busy.

  15. Rain on its way to Edgbaston...published at 13:10 British Summer Time 24 July

    Warks 184 v Worcs 333 & 103-3

    Dave Bradley
BBC Hereford & Worcester cricket commentator

The ground staff have started to move and so have the crowd. The buildings in the distance have started to disappear.

There is some rain on its way, hopefully this will clear over lunch.

  16. Lunch at Sophia Gardenspublished at 13:09 British Summer Time 24 July

    Glamorgan 327 v Kent 155 & 175-3

Kent have moved three runs ahead of Glamorgan at the lunch interval so the hosts know they will have to bat again.

It's been fairly slow going here with Kent accumulating 69 during the session.

Both of the wickets they have lost were quite avoidable with ill-advised shots from Ben Compton - who fell two short of a half-century - and skipper Daniel Bell-Drummond on the stroke of lunch.

  17. Lunch at Scarboroughpublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 24 July

    Yorks 517-6d v Surrey 33-0

A wonderful morning for Yorkshire and Matthew Revis.

He put his foot down with some eye-catching striking to make a second hundred of the season and set up the hosts’ declaration.

Surrey with a lot of batting to do to save the game from here but unscathed to the break.

  18. Lunch at Cheltenhampublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 24 July

    Lancs 557 v Glos 259-3

Lancashire have chipped a couple out on the third morning but Gloucestershire still go well thanks to Ben Charlesworth’s 143 not out.

The hosts trail by 298 at the College.

  19. Lunch at Northwoodpublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 24 July

    Middlesex 625-8 dec v Northants 210-6

No real fireworks in the morning session as Northants took their time in adding 84 for the loss of two wickets.

Saif Zaib's half-century has been a welcome bright spot for Northants who still trail Middlesex by 415 runs.

  20. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 24 July

    Warks 184 v Worcs 333 & 103-3

A strange morning with Worcestershire’s openers bobbling along before Gareth Roderick cut loose to reach fifty.

He was out trying to stay aggressive and the Pears have since lost two more to just about to keep Warwickshire in the game.

    The visitors lead by 252.
