    Right then.

    Almost time to get going.

Manchester Originals openers Phil Salt and Matty Hurst are out in the middle - both players, along with number three Jos Buttler, play their county cricket for Lancashire so are very familiar with this ground.

Left-arm seamer Reece Topley will open the bowling for Southern Brave.

Manchester Originals and England legend James Anderson speaking on Sky Sports about his Hundred debut : "I have spent most of my time playing Test cricket so that usually got in the way of things like this! I am really excited. I have enjoyed my time at Lancashire this summer and a taste of the T20 Blast. I'm really grateful to be here."

On his physicality: "My body feels good. I have worked hard on my fitness throughout the winter. When you get older, you have to put more effort in. I have coped with the pressure of county cricket and credit to the boys who do it every year because it is tough."

"Walking to the ground this morning, I was speaking to kids who I feel are too young to even know who I am. I am grateful as I said. It does feel like a different atmosphere but I am excited to see what happens."

"I feel fit enough to contribute to the game. I still feel like a 20 year-old in the outfield. I want to get to the final and lift that trophy."

  6. Southern Brave win the toss and bowlpublished at 18:18 British Summer Time 6 August

James Anderson can put his feet up for the time being, because Southern Brave captain James Vince has won the toss and chosen to bowl.

Unless he opens the batting of course, but I think that'd be a bit bold even for this format.
