  1. 'So far, so good for Somerset'published at 13:27 British Summer Time 15 April

    Lunch: Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 252-6 (lead by 109)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

So far, so good, in Somerset's quest to deny Surrey the win.

After a rain delay of just over an hour, lopping 18 overs off the day's allocation, Lewis Gregory and Kasey Aldridge have taken what is rapidly becoming their crucial partnership on from 42 to 90 runs, with few alarms along the way.

The new ball was taken just before lunch by Kemar Roach and Jordan Clarke, but this pitch remains as placid as ever.

  2. Postpublished at 13:26 British Summer Time 15 April

    Hampshire 367 & 52-3 v Lancashire 484

A fascinating little period of play coming up now as experienced Hampshire duo James Vince and Nick Gubbins look to stave off the threat of Nathan Lyon and Will Williams.

We know all about Lyon's qualities, but Williams was hugely impressive with the new ball on Sunday evening, removing both Hampshire openers.

Wicketkeeper Matty Hurst is standing up to the stumps to Williams, to give the two batters that little bit extra to think about.

  3. Game off at Northantspublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 15 April
    Breaking

Northants (552-6 dec) draw with Middlesex (553-2)

    Andrew Radd
    BBC Radio Northampton

Umpires Rob White and Tom Lungley have decided - after an early lunch - to abandon the match as a draw, following a heavy storm this morning which saturated the outfield coupled with strong winds to make the groundstaff's job nearly impossible.

It was disappointing for Leus Du Plooy - left unbeaten on 196 - and scuppered Middlesex's hopes of putting some final-day pressure on hosts Northamptonshire who nearly came unstuck in similar circumstances at Hove last week.

    Middlesex take 12 points to Northamptonshire's 11.

  4. wicket

WICKET: Abbott c Bell b Lyon 12published at 13:20 British Summer Time 15 April

    Hampshire 367 & 49-3 v Lancashire 484

Whereas Warwickshire have struggled to dislodge Durham's nightwatchman at Edgbaston today, Lancashire have managed it against Hampshire inside three overs.

Kyle Abbott prods forward to Nathan Lyon and is caught at short leg.

In comes captain James Vince to join Nick Gubbins, who is 23 not out.

  5. 'In the balance'published at 13:18 British Summer Time 15 April

    Lunch: Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 252-6 (lead by 109)

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

A good morning for Somerset fans.

If they've had lost their skipper and talisman Lewis Gregory on the stroke of lunch to the new ball, the game would probably be heavenly weighted towards Surrey.

As it is, I think this is now in the balance, completely.

  6. 'A good session for Durham'published at 13:16 British Summer Time 15 April

    Lunch: Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 119-3 (f-o) - Durham trail by 62

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

A good session for Durham, they've scored 107 runs for the loss of just one wicket.

They are not safe just yet but they have taken a big step towards it.

  7. Under way at Utilita Bowlpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 15 April

    Hampshire 367 & 42-2 v Lancashire 484 - Hants trail by 75

Hampshire and Lancashire have started on day four following a delay of just over two hours.

Kyle Abbott and Nick Gubbins have added three runs from Nathan Lyon's first over.

  9. Lunch at Bristolpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 166-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

A wicketless session for Yorkshire and a marvellous one for Gloucestershire.

Ollie Price (75 not out) and James Bracey (38 not out) have looked in great nick.

Still plenty of work to do for the hosts after lunch, mind.

  10. Lunch at The Ovalpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 252-6 109 lead

Edge, a genuine one too, but it has died just short of Dom Sibley at first slip.

Soft hands from Lewis Gregory saves him there, then Kemar Roach responds with a ridiculously wide legside delivery that of course is not given in red ball cricket, but Ben Foakes does superbly to keep from being four very harsh byes.

Big lbw appeal from the penultimate ball, clearly going down the leg side though, Gregory earns one leg bye for his side.

Somerset can enjoy their lunch - a successful first hour of today from their two batters.

  11. Match abandoned at Leicestershirepublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 15 April
    Breaking

    Leics (338 & 86-1) draw with Sussex (696-9 dec)

Outfield saturated at Grace RoadImage source, Rex Features

With the outfield at Grace Road saturated by heavy overnight rain and showers still rattling in, they've called it off.

It'll be a match remembered for Sussex's extraordinary lower-order batting where they recovered from 282-6 to post 694-9.

Also a game to remember for Sussex skipper John Simpson who hit a maiden double-century.

Leicestershire take 12 points, Sussex claim 14 in their quest for promotion from Division Two.

  12. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 119-3 (f-o) - Durham trail by 62

David Bedingham and Matty Potts helped themselves to a few boundaries in the short spell between Colin Ackermann's dismissal and the lunch interval at Edgbaston.

It has been very much Durham's morning session as they bid to bat out the rest of the day and save the game.

Nightwatchman Potts reaches lunch on 66 not out and Durham trail by 62 as the players head off for a sandwich and a brew.

  13. Postpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 165-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

Ollie Price is looking in fine touch.

Matt Fisher drops a couple of balls short and Price pulls him sweetly to the rope both times.

He's up to 74. Yorkshire seem a bit short of ideas at the moment.

  14. Postpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 251-6

Three singles, and only one aborted run up from Jordan Clark so they will get another Kemar Roach set of six in before lunch.

Yesterday was my favourite - lasagne, and most of yesterday's press members sadly have not bothered today, so my stomach is rumbling in anticipation at today's potentially extra large offering.

  15. Postpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 15 April

    Glamorgan v Derbyshire 119-3 (target 401)

Luis Reece and Brooke Guest have settled things down for Derbyshire in Cardiff after those couple of early wickets.

Both batters are into the 30s. Do the visitors still have a chance of victory if they bat long?

282 more runs needed, 68 overs left in the day.

  16. Postpublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 248-6

Two slips for the Barbadian Kemar Roach, who fellow countryman Roland Butcher admitted 'was not bowling with the pace he used to' earlier in this match.

No major concern for either batter yet, four leg byes add to a single off the 80th.

It is Jordan Clark to share the new ball.

  17. new ball

New ballpublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 243-6

    100 lead for Somerset now.

Just one run off Dan Lawrence's over (his last for a while?)

Kemar Roach is warming up, still in his long-sleeved, cable-knit sweater.

Jordan Clark out-bowled him in the first dig though, plenty of options for Mr Burns here.

It seems they will share it in the 10 minutes remaining before lunch, maybe they could squeeze three overs in?

  18. Postpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 153-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

Time for a bit of pace.

Matthew Fisher replaces Dan Moriarty... Yorkshire desperate for a breakthrough before lunch.

That Colin Ackermann wicket will put the Warwickshire players in a very good mood.

  20. Postpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 242-6

Dual spin as both Somerset batters now sit on 39*.

One over until the new kooka is available, will Dan Lawrence take it again?!
