  1. Postpublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 60-2 (f-o)

And now the 50 partnership is up between Colin Ackermann and Matty Potts.

They're doing a fine job for their side.

  2. Raining at Chelmsfordpublished at 12:16 British Summer Time 15 April

    Essex v Kent 0-0 (target 375)

They'd planned a 12:15 BST start at Essex, but it's raining again. Very heavily.

  3. new ball

New ball - replacement ball for Surrey after consecutive boundariespublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 212-6

First runs of the day, Lewis Gregory through the covers off the back foot for four.

Short and wide from Jamie Overton with the 69.4 over old ball.

And almost an action replay, same ball, shot and outcome the following delivery.

Cue the big North Devon quick asking for a new ball, but do not be fooled, not a new ball, just a replacement for this supposedly warped one.

First ball with it of course then cuts Gregory in half.

  4. 'Bowling patterns surprising'published at 12:11 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 115-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

    Shah Faisal
    BBC Radio Leeds

The bowling patterns - I have to say I've been surprised on this cold and blustery day, you would have thought seam would have been the order of the day to start off at least.

  5. 50 runs

50 up for Durhampublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 51-2 (f-o)

Matty Potts brings up Durham's half-century in the 26th over of their second innings, rocking back onto his back foot off the bowling of Rob Yates and guiding the ball nicely to the cover fence.

Potts has three first-class fifties and a best score of 81 - he's up to 27 now.

  6. Play at The Ovalpublished at 12:10 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 204-6

That shower was only short lived and we have play in south London!

Jamie Overton with the ball from the Vauxhall End, into his former team-mate and captain Lewis Gregory.

Somerset's lead is 61... what can they stretch it to?

  7. Root into the attackpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 115-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

Joe Root has just spun his way through an over. Still no breakthrough for Yorkshire this morning.

The hosts are frustrating them and it's down to some solid batting from Ollie Price (47 not out) and James Bracey (15 not out).

  8. Postpublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 15 April

Only three of our nine scheduled games have got under way, with six that have failed to get going on day four because of the wet weather.

There will be no play before lunch in the games at Hampshire and Northants.

  9. Postpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 38-2 (f-o)

Another lbw appeal by Rob Yates against Matty Potts is turned away by the umpire.

Durham have made it through the first hour without losing a wicket. They still trail by 143 runs, but it's all about limiting the damage to the "wickets" column today.

  10. Spin to win for Surrey?published at 11:55 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 204-6 - start delayed

    Harry Everett
    BBC Sport at The Oval

Former Somerset, now Surrey head of physical performance, James Alway has been running down and leaving deliveries through to Ben Foakes stood up to the stumps.

Kasey Aldridge and Lewis Gregory of course will not intend to gift their wicket away that easily, but Cam Steel and Dan Lawrence were the main Surrey protagonists in the first innings and bowled plenty of overs yesterday too.

Surely they will be key, up to and even with the new ball for the home side in this hour session before lunch.

Bad news though... we were due to get under way at 12:00 BST... but the covers are coming back on. Hopefully only a passing shower.

  11. 'Durham just need to stay out there'published at 11:52 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 34-2 (f-o)

    Chloe Brewer
Central Sparks batter on BBC local radio

Durham just need to bat today, just stay out there and try not to give Warwickshire an edge.

  12. 100 up for Gloucestershirepublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 100-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

It's been slow going in the 20 minutes play we've had in Bristol with just three runs in six overs.

But with showers about, Gloucestershire will no doubt want to bat for the draw. They're not chasing 498.

Yorkshire have a pace/spin combo at the moment, with Dan Moriarty and Ben Coad bowling in tandem.

  13. Kookaburra ball responsible for high scores?published at 11:44 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 27-2 (f-o)

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Looking through the scorecards, six scores are above 500 in this round of matches, which is not only highly unusual but certainly for the time of the year, and everybody is pointing the finger at the Kookaburra ball.

The Dukes ball returns on Friday and you can guarantee that half the matches will be over in two days or so.

  14. Postpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 26-2 (f-o)

And a big appeal with Rob Yates' second ball! He's adamant that he's trapped Matty Potts lbw but the umpire disagrees.

Plenty of turn for Yates, though - that will interest the Bears a lot.

  15. Postpublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 26-2 (f-o)

Durham's job for today is pretty simple - bat all day.

Runs don't particularly matter too much, it's all about using up time.

Warwickshire have turned to spin for the first time today as Rob Yates, who took a career-best 4-137 in the first innings, is chucked the ball by Alex Davies.

  16. Early wicket for Glamorganpublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 15 April

    Glamorgan v Derbyshire 50-2 (target 401)

Glamorgan have made an early breakthrough in Cardiff and it's the big wicket of Derbyshire skipper David Lloyd.

The former Glamorgan man goes for a quick single, but is run out by Mason Crane's direct hit.

He's on his way for 24.

  17. Postpublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 15 April

    Notts 399 & 151-7 v Worcs 355 - start delayed

Any prospect of play imminently at Trent Bridge has been slapped down by four words on Nottinghamshire's account on X, formerly Twitter.

    "It's hammering down now."

  18. 12:15 BST start at Chelmsfordpublished at 11:34 British Summer Time 15 April

    Essex 530-7 dec & 257-4 dec v Kent 413

It's dried up in Essex and the covers are off. Play will get under way in about 40 minutes IF the showers stay away.

Essex have declared, meaning Kent will need 375 for victory.

  19. Resumption in Bristolpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 97-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

There are showers about, but it's dry at the moment.

Yorkshire resume in their hunt for six Gloucestershire wickets... Adam Lyth will take the first over of the day!

  20. Postpublished at 11:30 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 21-2 (f-o)

Credit to Warwickshire captain Alex Davies, he's been trying all sorts of funky fields to try to remove Durham batters over the past couple of days.

He's got a leg slip and three more close catchers in on the leg side for Matty Potts, with Oliver Hannon-Dalby coming around the wicket to the England Test bowler.

Potts holds firm for now though and is six not out off 29 balls.
