    Hampshire 367 & 83-3 v Lancashire 484

Hampshire captain James Vince gets away with a couple of loose shots in a Nathan Lyon over.

He lofts one to long on and almost into the hands of a waiting fielder, then misjudges a sweep shot and is nearly bowled.

  2. 'Kent really need to hold their nerve'published at 14:06 British Summer Time 15 April

    Essex v Kent 11-1 (target 375)

    Matt Cole
    BBC Radio Kent

He's not made a great start to the season, Tawanda Muyeye and that one has gone behind to the wicketkeeper off Jamie Porter.

That is a really important one for Essex at the top of the innings.

Kent really need to hold their nerve here if they are to make a fist of this because we saw Essex do this to Nottinghamshire - scoreboard pressure and then this bowling attack, albeit without Sam Cook, who are nagging with their accuracy, never giving the batters a moment's peace.

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 266-7

Kemar Roach tries the leg slip ploy, to no avail.

    Gloucs 193-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

Ollie Price is edging towards a century, while James Bracey brings up his fifty just after lunch.

A brilliant effort by these two.

  5. Postpublished at 14:01 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 266-7

Hair tied up, battling through the stiff breeze, Jordan Clark is still obtaining the odd bit of lift from this pitch with the new Kookaburra ball.

  6. Kent mourns 'one of its greatest players'published at 14:01 British Summer Time 15 April

Ex-England spinner Underwood dies aged 78

A short time ago, it was announced that former Kent and England left-arm spinner Derek Underwood has died aged 78.

In a statement on Kent's club website, Kent chair Simon Philip has said: "The Kent cricket family is in mourning following the passing of one of its greatest ever players.

"Derek was an outstanding contributor to both Kent and England, winning trophies for club and country and etching his name in the history books forevermore.

"Watching Derek weave his unique magic on a wet wicket was a privilege for all who were able to witness it. His induction into the ICC Hall of Fame shows the esteem in which he was held in world cricket.

"An advocate for growing our game worldwide whilst protecting our sport's rich heritage, Derek also made substantial contributions off the field as well as on it, and he will be sorely missed by everyone at Kent."

    Breaking

Some sad news to bring to you.

Former Kent spinner Derek Underwood, who took 297 Test wickets for England, has died at the age of 78.

Underwood took close to 2,500 first-class wickets during a career stretching close to 25 years.

His tally of 297 Test wickets is the most by an England spinner.

  12. Postpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 256-6 (lead by 109)

Kemar Roach and Jordan Clark still, but more importantly for the outcome of this match, Lewis Gregory and Kasey Aldridge still.

The two right-handed allrounders doing a stellar job for the westcountry men.

    Curse of the live-text commentator....

  13. Postpublished at 13:45 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 166-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

They've also restarted in Bristol, but just over the Severn in Cardiff, things are delayed by a heavy shower.

It might arrive at the County Ground soon enough...

Jamie Porter has the new ball for the hosts. 64 overs to be bowled...

  16. Postpublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 119-3 (f-o)

They're due out any moment after lunch at Edgbaston, where they got a full morning's play in.

It's sunny at the moment, however, I am based about 10 miles down the road and the rain outside is horizontal. Not nice.

Hopefully it passes by without deluging the centre of Birmingham.

  18. 'Bell was looking forward to that moment'published at 13:31 British Summer Time 15 April

    Hampshire 367 & 57-3 v Lancashire 484

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

I spoke to George Bell last night about fielding at short leg to Nathan Lyon and he said he was looking forward to the moment where he gets to take a catch off Lyon's bowling at short leg. Well, he's got it.

He seemed almost more excited at the prospect of doing that than reaching a century [Bell was out for 99 on Sunday].

He was quite excited about being right in there and being in position for the catch off a Lyon delivery and it was a smart catch.

  19. 'Glamorgan have victory in their sightspublished at 13:29 British Summer Time 15 April

    Lunch: Glamorgan v Derbyshire 128-3 (target 401)

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Sophia Gardens

Glamorgan have victory in their sights in Cardiff – but Derbyshire are ensuring that it won’t be a formality for the home side.

Luis Reece (40 not out) and Brooke Guest (34 not out) have looked fairly comfortable on a flattening pitch, guiding Derbyshire to 128-3 at lunch on the final day, still 273 runs short of their target.

Having been set an improbable 401 to win after Glamorgan had declared on 361-7 yesterday, Derbyshire started the final morning on 40-1.

The visitors were soon two down when their captain – and former Glamorgan skipper – David Lloyd was run out by Mason Crane without adding to his overnight score of 24.

Wayne Madsen was the next wicket to fall as he was bowled by James Harris for 25, but Reece and Guest have steadied things since then.

There’s rain forecast this afternoon, so Derbyshire could yet cling on for a draw.

  20. 'Morning session belongs to Gloucestershire'published at 13:28 British Summer Time 15 April

    Lunch: Gloucs 166-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

    Shah Faisal

This session clearly belongs to Gloucestershire. They've really fought hard and survived the morning session unscathed.
