  1. No play possible at Trent Bridgepublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 15 April
    Breaking

    Notts (399 & 151-7) drew with Worcs (355)

The weather is the winner in Nottingham, as play is abandoned for the day at Trent Bridge and the Division One match between Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire ends in a draw.

Such a shame they couldn't get on the field today, as that game was delicately poised and all three results were possible at the end of day three.

  2. Somerset again fare better in second inningspublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 294-7

Somerset surpass their first innings total with Craig Overton skipping and driving Dan Lawrence down the ground for a one bounce boundary.

No sudden caving in yet as when Tom Lammonby ran out Matt Renshaw when 99* prompting that 196-1 to 211-7 first innings collapse.

Overton ends the over with another four through the pigeons at deep extra cover then a three through the legside.

    11 off that over.

  3. Rain stops play in Bristolpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 224-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

And that approaching black cloud has indeed reached The County Ground.

Off they go for rain, and that might be Yorkshire's chances of victory done.

  4. Play resumes in Cardiffpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 15 April

    Glamorgan v Derbyshire 129-3 (target 401)

They're back under way in one of our two remaining Division Two games.

But for how long, who knows today?

  5. 100 for Ollie Pricepublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 15 April

    Gloucs 220-4 (target 498) v Yorkshire

There's a filthy black cloud heading towards The County Ground, but just enough time for Ollie Price to reach his fourth first-class century.

He gets there by cutting Dan Moriarty away for his 16th boundary.

This innings has showed why England have high hopes for the 22-year-old and he was selected in the Lions squad over the winter.

Yorkshire have had no answers and their chances of victory are slipping away.

  6. Postpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 283-7

Sniff of a chance at leg slip, just short, off Dan Lawrence from Craig Overton's bat.

Overton responds by striding and driving him down the ground for four, one Lawrence really should have stopped off his own bowling though.

Next ball the biggest appeal of the day yet, but would have missed leg stump with Lawrence's spin into Overton's pads.

  7. wicket

WICKET: Bedingham c Briggs b Bethell 36published at 14:31 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 156-4 (f-o)

David Bedingham gives Jacob Bethell a maiden first-class wicket, picking out Danny Briggs on the midwicket boundary to leave Durham four wickets down with their deficit still 25.

Ollie Robinson joins Matty Potts (86 not out) at the crease, with rain looking like it is rapidly approaching Edgbaston.

  8. Postpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 278-7

50 and out for Lewis Gregory in the first innings, but he is onto 54* now.

Gus Atkinson helping Somerset's cause with a front foot no-ball too.

  9. Postpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 15 April

    Hampshire 367 & 92-3 v Lancashire 484

Lancashire are being held at bay by Nick Gubbins and James Vince, who have added 43 for the fourth wicket so far and reduced Hampshire's deficit to 25.

There are still more than 50 overs to be bowled today, but the visitors could do with breaking this partnership soon if they're going to mount a push for victory.

  10. Double change for Surreypublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 273-7

    Harry Everett
    BBC Sport at The Oval

That man Dan Lawrence is back bowling again, I will drip in a few lines from speaking to him after play last night.

"There is the odd ball that is turning but it is definitely not ridiculous.

"Leaving Essex, a big part of that was because I was not getting the overs I wanted to there. It was no fault of the club, just because Simon Harmer is the best in the country.

"It is great to come in, get some overs in and get some rewards."

No reward in the first over, but one stifled shout and just two singles.

  11. Postpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 151-3 (f-o)

Durham and England bowler Matty Potts now has his highest first-class score with the bat, passing his previous best of 81.

I don't think anyone involved with Durham would mind a downpour now to solidify a draw (and there's no real sign of rain right now, I should add), but Potts will hope the rain stays away for at least a little while so that he can have a dart at a maiden first-class hundred.

  12. 'Compton not happy'published at 14:21 British Summer Time 15 April

    Essex v Kent 19-2 (target 375)

    Don Topley
    BBC Essex

Ben Compton is not happy but Jamie Porter has got Kent's second wicket.

And Porter, as he did yesterday morning with the new ball, has struck.

He is a dangerous opening bowler because he makes people play.

Well bowled, Jamie Porter. It's such an important wicket for Essex.

Jamie Porter's got both of Kent's openers!

From around the wicket the Essex paceman spears one into the pads of left-hander Ben Compton and up goes the finger.

Kent are in a bit of bother.

  14. Bowling change from the Pavilion Endpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 271-7

Gus Atkinson, with his wayward front arm is now steaming in from the Pavilion End.

He bowled well on Friday afternoon and immediately has a deep square and fine leg.

  15. 'Derek Underwood was like a machine'published at 14:16 British Summer Time 15 April

    Roland Butcher
Former Middlesex and England batter on BBC Radio London

I played against Derek Underwood on many occasions.

He was like a machine, just churned them out, ball after ball after ball.

He didn't give you much to hit and if there was anything in the pitch at times he was unplayable.

  16. Postpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 271-7

Lewis Gregory came in at 152-5 yesterday evening remember.

I was sat with the Rew family when James Rew poked at one he need not have at the end of the 53rd over, but the audible frustrations around me then have not proved disastrous as Gregory has held all Surrey have thrown at him at bay.

The mass away-fan exodus to watch the Masters at that wicket fall yesterday evening saw little optimism from Somerset fans then, but even without much rain, the lead is up to 128 and three wickets still remain.

  17. Play resumes at Edgbastonpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 15 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 517 & 133-3 (f-o)

The shower that passed through Edgbaston was heavy but swift and, after six overs lost, the players are back out onto the field.

  18. 'What a wonderful cricketer he was'published at 14:11 British Summer Time 15 April

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Derek Underwood played 86 Test matches for England and took 297 wickets for them.

A tremendous career and played over 600 games for Kent as well.

What a wonderful cricketer he was.

  20. 50 runs

50 for Lewis Gregorypublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 15 April

    Surrey 428 v Somerset 285 & 269-7

Only a spattering of applause around the ground, as attendance numbers are low today despite the sunshine this afternoon.

Many of the Somerset faithful are back to the West Country for work today, but still following from afar, delighted to see their skipper notch a crucial 50 in their pursuit for a draw.
