  1. Ind 314-4published at 114 overs

Joe Root rattles through a maiden. Right....

Thumbs up for England to go all out for victory in the final session, right to the end.

Thumbs down for the first overs in Test cricket for Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope and Ben Duckett after tea.

  2. Ind 314-4published at 113 overs

Washington Sundar picks up a single off the last ball of Liam Dawson's over.

Ben Stokes whips himself out of the attack before tea and Joe Root is back. Is that the England skipper throwing in the towel?

Has to be said this has been a diabolical Test match pitch. Designed to provide five days revenue, not entertainment.

I just pray that Ben Stokes continuing bowling here, doesn’t lead to a much more serious injury in the long term. If this ends in the fact that he would be unable to travel to Australia then we may as well not get on the plane.

England in a strange way won't mind this. By playing the shots it brings the dismisal into play. The crowd know that as well.

It was a surprise when Washington Sundar moved up the order in front to Jadeja, but he's backed it up.

If England can’t get a wicket or two before tea then this match is highly likely to be a draw. Absolute road of a pitch but still should have done better with one and a half days to bowl India out. India will have all the momentum going into the last test and will win it if this match is a draw. Mark my words, series will be drawn.

Ravindra Jadeja does well to get out of the way. He's down on his backside with his legs crossed. Terrific bouncer from Ben Stokes.

  18. Ind 294-4published at 109.4 overs

That's a good bouncer from Ben Stokes which leaves Ravindra Jadeja on his backside and sat in something akin to the lotus position.

Next ball Jadeja takes on a short ball frrom Stokes and pulls it square through mid-wicket.

James Anderson would have a five-for by now on this pitch. Is he still available for Australia?

The change of ends for Ben Stokes and the strategy of bowling short balls is baffling.
