    Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorks 110-7

Jordan Thompson is certainly in a hurry.

He lofts Josh Davey over mid-off for four and then runs one down to third man for a couple of runs to bring up a 50 stand with Adam Lyth from just 38 balls.

Thompson has 44 off 29 so far.

  2. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:27 BST 11 September

    Lancs 73-2 - target 303

After conceding 16 runs from the first two overs Kent made a fine recovery with Matt Quinn ousting Keaton Jennings and Luke Wells with identical deliveries.

Josh Bohannon (19*) and Marcus Harris (23*) have steadied the ship, however, though the 230 runs needed for victory from 34 overs after tea will likely prove to be beyond them.

  3. Postpublished at 15:24 BST 11 September

Sussex 67-3 - target 278 to beat Hants

With Bjorn Fortuin bowling left arm spin, you would fancy we might have time for three more overs before the tea interval at 15:30.

One slip and two short legs are in but they can do nothing about this ball.

Wide, tossed up and pushed through cover by Tom Haines for four.

The third ball is dropped into the off side for one.

  4. 6 runs

for Marcus Harrispublished at 15:22 BST 11 September

    Lancs 71-2 - target 303

Marcus Harris moves to 1,000 first class runs for the season with a huge six over the legside boundary off former Red Rose man Matt Parkinson.

Should get one more over in before tea.

  5. Postpublished at 15:21 BST 11 September

Sussex 62-3 - target 278 to beat Hants

James Coles is forward and across to push Keith Barker safely down the pitch.

It feels like Sussex are digging in for the draw.

30 overs left after this one and the required rate has already passed seven per over.

Worryingly for Hampshire the wicket is doing a bit less than it did on Day Two.

Width, full and four driven through cover by James Coles.

  6. Postpublished at 15:20 BST 11 September

    Lancs 61-2 - target 303

Lovely flash of a cover drive from Josh Bohannon off Michael Cohen, steering the ball to the rope to move to 17*.

Marcus Harris has 13* and have dulled Kent's enthusiasm nicely after those two early wickets.

  7. Postpublished at 20 overs

    Leics 75-1 - target 316

Rishi Patel goes for an expansive drive off spinner Graeme van Buuren an a thick edge only just eludes the diving slip fielder on its way to the third man boundary. Patel is 35 not out.

  8. 'Plenty of shower activity around'published at 15:18 BST 11 September

    Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorks 94-7

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

There's plenty of shower activity around. I find it implausible that we'll get through the next two hours without further interruptions and I think another interruption would just about be the death nail.

The plus side of all these weather interruptions for Somerset is that they won't be worn out going up to Finals Day as they were back in 2023 when they had a very wearing four-day game up at Southport against Lancashire.

They went from there to Edgbaston and weren't at their best at all.

  9. 6 runs

Postpublished at 15:17 BST 11 September

    Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorks 88-7

Two maximums in the space of three balls for Jordan Thompson, clearing the leg-side rope off spinner Archie Vaughan. The all-rounder has 26 from just 18 balls so far.

  10. Postpublished at 15:17 BST 11 September

Sussex 57-3 - target 278 to beat Hants

Hazy sunshine here at Hove. Long may it continue.

A slip and a short leg in for left arm spinner Bjorn Fortuin.

Tom Haines goes back and across to scoop a ball leg side for one.

A tad short from the bowler.

James Coles tries to get the ball away leg side and is stopped at short mid wicket by Ali Orr.

  11. Moores hails 'great win' by title hopefuls Nottspublished at 15:15 BST 11 September

Nottinghamshire held their nerve to beat Worcestershire by three wickets earlier on - a result which sets up a potential decider next week against Surrey at The Oval.

Chasing a target of 136 was far from straightforward and here's what Notts head coach Peter Moores had to say about it.

"It was a great win and a great game of cricket. Credit to the way the lads played the whole game because lots of little things happened during the game which meant we got into a winning position.

"This morning Worcestershire bowled really well. Our message was to stay positive but they didn't miss their lengths very much and they made it difficult for us. Lunch probably came at a good time for us because they were running hot at the time.

"It's set up brilliantly for The Oval next week. It's a great place to play, a really good cricket pitch and both sides are playing good cricket so we'll go there confident but also very respectful that it will be a tough challenge.

"These are the games you play for. This is what you net for. You want to feel that it's on the line and if you can get over that line it's a brilliant feeling."

  12. Pitch inspection at 15:25 BSTpublished at 15:15 BST 11 September

    Warwickshire 60-1 - target 390

The heavy rain has passed and it drains pretty quickly at The Oval, you know...

We'll find out in about 10 minutes when we might expect to see some more play on the final afternoon.

  13. Who did a Raine dance?published at 15:13 BST 11 September

    Durham 143-7 v Essex

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

The end of the world has arrived in Chelmsford. We have torrential rain, thunder and lightning and it's almost dark.

The radar suggested a really big storm was heading our way and would not pass for about two hours.

Essex' hopes of a win are being thwarted by rain and Raine. Ben Raine and Matty Potts both have 25 runs and have added 47 to the Durham total so far. They have also staved off an innings defeat.

At 143-7 Durham lead by 19 runs. While Essex will be hoping to get back on the field later, the weather may actually end their hopes of victory.

For Durham, it would stave off an embarrassing defeat in a game where they had been 189-1 on day one.

  14. Tea at Wantage Roadpublished at 15:13 BST 11 September

    Northants 413-9 dec v Glam 467 & 204-6

    Glamorgan lead by 258.

We will keep our eyes peeled for daring declaration but a draw is the likely result from here.

  15. Postpublished at 15:13 BST 11 September

    Lancs 53-2 - target 303

Marcus Harris works a single past the close catcher under the lid at short leg for a single off Matt Parkinson to bring up the Lancs 50.

The required rate s drifting towards seven an over and Kent will feel they have the better chance of snatching an unlikely win if they can pick up one or two more in the 15 minutes before tea.

39 overs remain in the day.

WICKETpublished at 15:12 BST 11 September

    Carter b Barker 0 (Sussex 54-3 - target 278 to beat Hants)

Keith Barker bowls to the left-handed Tom Haines, who pushes the ball to backward point for no run.

    Gone! Another wicket for Hampshire!

A three-ball duck for Oli Carter.

He plays inside the line and off stump is rocked back.

Can Hampshire win it from here?

    Here comes James Coles.

The tea interval is still nearly 20 minutes away - at 15:30.

  17. 'This could be one of the longest sessions'published at 15:08 BST 11 September

    Leics 56-1 - target 316

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

This could be a very long session indeed, one of the longest we've ever played potentially.

The idea is to play 32 overs in a session but potentially we could have 51 here and at the moment the weather is set reasonably fair.

  18. Postpublished at 16.1 overs

    Leics 56-1 - target 316

We come and we go. Play resumes at Grace Road.

Zaman Akhter starts a new over and Rishi Patel drives through the covers for a couple.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:06 BST 11 September

Hunt LBW b Fortuin 19 (Sussex 53-2 - target 278 to beat Hants)

    Breakthrough for Hampshire.

After surviving a couple of catching chances earlier, luck runs out for Sean Hunt.

He's caught on the crease by Bjorn Fortuin and misses with a loose defensive prod in front of the stumps.

    Oli Carter is in next.

  20. 1000 first class runs for Colin Ingrampublished at 15:06 BST 11 September

    Northants 413-9 dec v Glam 467 & 202-6

Steady progress from Glamorgan, who were accelerating earlier today when Kiran Carslon put on 88 runs with Colin Ingram in 22.4 overs.

Ingram made 55 with 11 fours and passed 1000 first class runs for Glamorgan in the process.

More recently the innings 200 arrived in exactly 58 overs via Timm van der Gugten, who lifted Calvin Harrison over mid wicket for four.

The lead is 256. 33 overs remaining.
