Warwickshire 65-1 - target 390 to beat Surrey

    Tom LawesImage source, Rex Features

Tom Lawes thumps Rob Yates on the pads with a full toss prompting a big appeal, but nothing doing.

Lawes is even more frustrated when Yates jabs the bat down for a thick edge to send the ball flashing past the slips and away for four runs.

  2. Postpublished at 15:58 BST 11 September

Sussex 79-3 - target 278 to beat Hants

Exactly 200 required from 26 overs from here. Unlikely.

Bjorn Fortuin will continue from the Cromwell Road End.

    Tom Haines is forward defending.

The second ball is pushed to extra cover for one.

Thick cloud cover is enveloping the ground as James Coles blocks a flatter delivery.

  3. Postpublished at 15:57 BST 11 September

    Lancs 85-2 - target 303

Josh Bohannon pulls Matt Parkinson to the deep for a single as light rain falls and a rainbow emerges at Canterbury.

Marcus Harris then runs three to bring up the 50-stand. Very useful it has been too for the Red Rose, who were 34-2 at one point.

  4. Postpublished at 15:56 BST 11 September

Sussex 78-3 - target 278 to beat Hants

That will do nicely. Full and wide from Eddie Jack.

Tom Haines carves through point for four runs.

Better line from Jack this time and Haines blocks.

He gets one off his hip through mid wicket and James Coles sees out the over.

  5. Back under way at The Ovalpublished at 15:53 BST 11 September

Warwickshire 60-1 - target 390 to beat Surrey

Here we go... can Surrey pick up nine wickets in a session for a colossal win in the title race? They've done it before...

Rob Yates and Will Young are trying to stop them getting any momentum going in the now sunny capital.

  6. Final session underway at Hovepublished at 15:52 BST 11 September

Sussex 73-3 - target 278 to beat Hants

It is a bit grey and blustery here but we're back on the field.

We have had 18 overs in the last two days here because of bad weather.

    No play yesterday.

Tom Haines is 29 not out and he will face the first ball of the last session, bowled by Eddie Jack from the Sea End.

James Coles is at the non-striker's end on seven.

    27 overs left in theory.

  7. Postpublished at 15:51 BST 11 September

    Lancs 79-2 - target 303

Kent put a host of close catchers in as Matt Parkinson bowls his first over of the session but Josh Bohannon whips the ball through mid-wicket for four and is on 24*.

Very chilly, breezy and grey at the Spitfire Ground St Lawrence.

Rain is on the way to thwart any real hopes of a result.

  8. 'Foxes on the very brink'published at 15:51 BST 11 September

    Leics 92-1 - target 316 - rain stops play

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

Officially this game is not over, so officially Leicestershire can not celebrate, hands are not being shaken but Ian Holland and Rishi Patel have done a good job there.

The Foxes are on the very brink of being promoted but it's not yet officially confirmed because this game is not over.

It's hammering down here now and this may well be it. We might just have to wait for confirmation I suspect but if James Bracey accepts the inevitable and shakes hands with Ian Holland...

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:50 BST 11 September

Thompson lbw Davey 57 (Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorks 128-8)

Fine delivery by Josh Davey, angled in from round the wicket, and Jordan Thompson is gone.

He put on 68 with opener Adam Lyth, who is still there on 26 not out from 84 balls and has a great chance of carrying his bat through this innings.

  10. 50 runs

for Jordan Thompsonpublished at 15:47 BST 11 September

    Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorks 128-7

Jordan Thompson slashes Josh Davey past the diving gully fielder for four and reaches 50 from just 42 balls faced. It's only his second half-Championship century of the season.

  11. Final session under way at Canterburypublished at 15:46 BST 11 September

    Lancs 73-2 - target 303

Josh Bohannon (19*) and Marcus Harris (23*) resume with 230 runs needed for victory from 34 overs, or more likely just sticking around to prevent Kent forcing any late drama.

  12. MIDDLESEX DRAW WITH DERBYSHIREpublished at 15:43 BST 11 September
    Breaking

    Middlesex 298 v Derbyshre 283 & 153-4

There will be no further play at Lord's, so Leicestershire will be promoted if they draw their on-off game against Gloucestershire.

Derbyshire added 120 to their overnight 33-1 on the final day for the loss of three wickets, the last of them taken by loanee Olly Stone, who bowled Harry Came off the inside edge.

Brooke Guest (65*) and Martin Andersson (31*) shared an unbroken stand of 66 before rain forced the teams from the field.

Both teams take 12 points - but have a lot of work to do over the next two weeks to try and pip Glamorgan for the second promotion spot.

  13. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Leicesterpublished at 15:43 BST 11 September

    Leics 342 & 93-1 v Glos 482

Grace Road, LeicesterImage source, Rex Features

More wet stuff on the way so they are going off against at Grace Road.

Rishi Patel is 42 not out, Ian Holland has 27 and their partnership is worth 76.

  14. PLAY TO RESUME AT 15:50 BSTpublished at 15:41 BST 11 September

Warwickshire 60-1 - target 390 to beat Surrey

    Good news.

We'll have 36 overs remaining in the day at The Oval, but unless Surrey take a lot of quick wickets, or Warwickshire rattle off 15-an-over for a while, we might not see them all before hands are shaken.

  15. Postpublished at 15:39 BST 11 September

    Leics 92-1 - target 316

A bowling change sees Miles Hammond brought into the attack - he has a leg-slip in place. Must be expecting it to turn.

Easy single for Rishi Patel to mid-wicket and he has 42 not out.

  16. 'Feels like Foxes are helping Gloucestershire with over rate'published at 15:37 BST 11 September

    Leics 91-1 - target 316

    Ed Seabourne
    Commentator on BBC Radio Bristol

It's almost got that feel, not quite, but as though Leicestershire are sort of obliging Gloucestershire by just getting their over rate back in the same way as Gloucestershire seemed to on that second morning.

  17. Final session starts at Wantage Roadpublished at 15:34 BST 11 September

    Northants 413-9 dec v Glam 467 & 204-6

31 overs left in the match if conditions permit.

    Glamorgan lead by 258.

Glamorgan keeper Chris Cooke is in the middle with Timm van der Gugten.

Leg spinner Calvin Harrison will bowl to Van der Gugten.

  18. Tea at Hovepublished at 15:32 BST 11 September

Sussex 73-3 - target 278 to beat Hants

200 in the last session of play? Feels unlikely.

James Coles tries to tap Bjorn Fortuin away leg side but is stopped at mid wicket.

Now Coles is in block mode to a quicker ball.

A play and miss on the forward block ends the session.

Sussex need an unlikely 205 in 27 overs after the break.

    Hampshire need seven wickets.

  19. Postpublished at 15:31 BST 11 September

    Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorks 111-7

Somerset recall Jack Leach to try and keep Jordan Thompson quiet.

He fails with an attempted reverse sweep but the umpire rejects Leach's impassioned lbw appeal.

Just one from the over - good bowling change.

  20. Postpublished at 15:29 BST 11 September

Sussex 73-3 - target 278 to beat Hants

A change of bowling as Hampshire captain and keeper turns to the pace of James Fuller.

Leg side, back of a length and Tom Haines misses an attempted tuck around the corner.

    Haines ducks under a bouncer.

He works the next ball off his hip for two.

A leg stump half volley is clipped away square for four.
