Northern Superchargers may well feel aggrieved but they would have gone through had they not lost twice to Manchester Originals.

What a day! This was a day we knew was going to happen as well.

There was talk about not even being able to get a full women's game in and then the men's game would get affected, and that's exactly what has happened.

It has been frustrating for Northern Superchargers, but Trent Rockets will be happy.

At least the women's match was memorable. There was a breakout century for an 18-year-old tipped for the top.

They have called it a day. Rain is the winner.

It's proper rain. You don't play cricket in this.

We think there's around half an hour of time left but they have to be on the field in time to bowl 20 balls before that.

Oh no, no no! They are going off again, no!

Trent Rockets cannot get off quick enough. Even the ground announcer just said: 'Would you believe it?' I think this well and truly classifies as rain. That is wet rain, that.

It is raining cats and dogs. That is the end of the day isn't it? I'll make the executive decision, let's get off air and go home.

Joe Root is not known for his speed but he was at the boundary edge before the umpire had finished gesturing for the groundstaff to bring the covers on!

    That might be that.

It's the heaviest rain of the day now. Surely we can now say this is done.

Trent Rockets look to be heading to tomorrow's final.

  15. Rockets 12-0published at 50 balls left

Need 93 runs from 50 balls

Michael Pepper, Superchargers main wicketkeeper, has taken the gloves by the way. He was left out of the XI but has come in now Dawid Malan is injured. It's convenient but within the rules, apparently.

Imagine if he takes a flying catch or stumping. Andy Flower might explode.

This all seems a right mess! One thing is for sure - Oval Invincibles will be laughing themselves to sleep!

I don't know who I want to win this match now... I still want Northern Superchargers to do the double but I do think the game should be called off now.
