    Good news!

The toss has taken place and surprise surprise, Trent Rockets choose to bowl first.

But... we haven't had a start time yet.

If you missed it earlier, Northern Superchargers beat London Spirit in the highest scoring match in any season of the women's Hundred to reach the final.

The star was 18-year-old Superchargers batter Davina Perrin. She hit a sublime 101 - only the second ton in a women's Hundred match - as Superchargers piled up 214-5.

That was the competition's highest score. It suggests, if we do get play, there could be more big scores on the cards.

Groundsman Lee Fortis doesn't strike me as the sort of person who is optimistic about the conditions out there. He is looking up at the sky and shaking his head at the minute.

It does look grim as we look out of our commentary box here, but the players are out there warming up and the bowlers are doing full bowl-throughs.

They aren't hanging around, just in case the umpires do say they want to try to get a game in because the worse stuff is coming later. The covers coming off is good news.

If this Eliminator is washed out entirely, Trent Rockets will progress to tomorrow's final because they finished higher in the group table.

25 balls is the minimum number in each innings for it to count as a match. There is 30 minutes extra time possible, plus some more they can squeeze out by shortening the interval.

  6. Welcomepublished at 17:45 BST 30 August

    Hello again!

With Northern Superchargers' women cruising into tomorrow's final, can their men follow suit?

Well, they might have to wait a while. It has been raining at The Oval and the toss has been delayed.
