    We have a restart time.

The Rockets will have a 75-ball chase.

I get the frustration, I really do, but the outfield is wet. It has to be safe to play.

As I say that, the covers are coming off.

Superchargers' players are in their fielding kit so their batting innings is clearly done.

It hasn't rained properly for over an hour. The women's game stayed on in far worse. It's unbelievable they're not playing.

    Ben

I had my rain jacket off 30 minutes ago. They were playing through much worse earlier in the day. It's a very delicate drizzle at worst. What a joke - get on with it!

    Tom at The Oval

I flew in from Vienna just to see this match. I'm not leaving just yet.

Hoods are still up. There is still rain in the air. We have half of the covers in position, although not the big ones covering the run-ups.

Harry Brook is throwing a rugby ball around. He has decent passing technique.

Whoever goes through to the final will have a cold, wet, late finish tonight. I can't imagine that is great preparation for a final. But the sideways-ness of the rain indicates wind and wind moves clouds, hopefully!

As Swanny says, Oval Invincibles have their feet up while this is all going on. If this game does get back on it will likely finish after 10pm. The winner would then have a quick turnaround into tomorrow's final.

Trent Rockets coach Graeme Swann on Sky Sports: "With this game dragging on it is turning into the longest day ever and then we would have to play tomorrow. It is a huge advantage winning the group."

Andy Flower is still prowling by the boundary edge. I dare an umpire to tell him it's time for his side to go out and field.

No cricket but a lovely light show going on at The Oval at the moment, using the phones of people in the crowd.

    So that's something...

It's pretty impressive, to be fair.

Trent Rockets and Andy Flower's side of the coin will be that these conditions are too wet and the umpires should call the whole match off, but Northern Superchargers and Andrew Flintoff will be trying to convince them that the conditions are fine.

The umpires will be mediating these conversations so that's why we are seeing them all smiling out there. Flower will have definitely gone straight into that huddle and suggested everyone goes home.

We're losing deliveries now. There's still a fair while we can push this game back.

The two coaches, Andrew Flintoff and Andy Flower, are chatting to the umpires.

It looks a bit bleak out there. There's some sideways drizzle, not quite rain, coming down.

It doesn't look good does it? I've consulted my radar and the rain might clear by 10pm, which would be too late.

Samit Patel has stayed out there. Rockets skipper David Willey is talking to the umpires.

Remember if the match is washed out, Trent Rockets go through.

Rain stops play - Superchargers 119-5published at 20:19 BST 30 August

The umpires have decided this rain is too heavy. Boos from the crowd but cricket is not supposed to be played in the rain.

Ross Whiteley has been like Superman out on that boundary. He has been diving left, right, forwards, backwards - but this time he couldn't quite get there.

The rain is coming down slightly heavier now...

    Lawrence 44, Patel 6

Marcus Stoinis has his hands on his hips - I think complaining about the state of the outfield. Rain is falling again as George Linde applies a canny squeeze, drying the ball on a towel before every delivery.

Samit Patel gets his first boundary through the covers at the end of the set as Ross Whiteley sends spray into the air as he slides in vain.

  18. Superchargers 112-5published at 70 balls

New batter Samit Patel scored 42 from just 19 balls in Superchargers previous game.

David Miller has missed out there. It is a good delivery from Marcus Stoinis but he will be thinking he could've and should've kept that out.

It was a fuller delivery from Stoinis, with a bit of pace taken off, that got the better of Miller. He is walking off playing the shot again and he is slapping his bat on his pads.
