  2. Match to restartpublished at 21:36 BST 30 August

The match will restart in three minutes.

The chase will last 55 balls. We haven't been told the target. I feel like that's a crucial detail.

I genuinely think the rain has passed now, looking at the radar.

That seemed to be the one final little flurry of rain, but goodness knows. It is still sort of sweeping a bit, but it does look clear for the rest of the night to be fair.

The crowd has thinned out though now, that's fair to say.

Joe Root is putting his helmet on so he has clearly been told that there will be a resumption.

The rain delay does mean we seem to have lost a fair chunk of the crowd.

A few were sneaking back to their seats having taken shelter behind the stands in the break - but I fear this latest delay might see a few more lose faith and head home.

David Willey, who has a face like thunder, has come stomping down the steps.

Remember there is a final tomorrow. Whichever side comes through this has a quick turnaround.

I don't know why they didn't pull the men's game forward after the women's game finished?

Apparently they can't do that because of the crowds, but do you actually want to get this game of cricket in or not?

  9. Postpublished at 21:29 BST 30 August

Just for anyone who hasn't been with us all day, if the match is washed out then Trent Rockets go through because they finished higher in the group stage.

It absolutely Adam Hose-ing it down! They cannot see through the rain, they are going to need windscreen wipers for their eyes.

Tom Banton is walking off, he's gone. Northern Superchargers are all standing out there going: 'No! No!'

Surely that's it for the night now?

The Superchargers' players, who had stood inside the boundary, are being waved from the field by the umpires. It's all a bit comical.

They're going off. It's pouring down.

The crowd boo but I don't know what else they can do.

It has been raining the whole time. It is still raining like it was when the players came off the pitch, if not harder. However the covers are off, the lines are drawn, the stumps are in and the players are about to walk on and play some cricket.

We moan so much when games are called off and it gets brighter later, so I'm glad there is still a game on in such an important match.

We're back to the target being 134 in 75 balls. At least they've worked it out before the match restarted...

Northern Superchargers will be charging around soon. They will be wanting to get a few quick wickets and win this game, but it has certainly been a long old slog for the players out there.

  18. Rockets need 131 in 75 ballspublished at 21:16 BST 30 August

We're told, after a bit of confusion, Rockets' target will be 131 in 75 balls.

It doesn't look like Dawid Malan is going to be fit to field after he hurt his leg while batting. Superchargers had Dan Lawrence as their keeper on their card. Could they possibly sneak a proper keeper in...

Superchargers are out warming up. No sign of the Rockets but given Graeme Swann's comments on the TV earlier, I'd imagine they're quietly seething in the dressing room.
