  1. 50 for Jordan Thompsonpublished at 11:28 25 May

    Northants v Yorkshire 360-7

Jordan Thompson can be a dangerous customer with the bat, and having drilled Ben Sanderson over cover for six in his previous over, he drives in more orthodox fashion for a boundary to reach 50 off just 47 balls. His partnership with Matthew Revis is worth 79.

  2. Postpublished at 11:28 25 May

    Durham 195-8 v Somerset 171

It's a measure of how good David Bedingham's innings was that Ollie Robinson is the only other batter to pass 20.

Callum Parkinson could become the third - he square drives Jake Ball for four and is now 15 not out.

  3. 100 up for Warwickshirepublished at 11:28 25 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 100-4

Jacob Bethell scrambles a single to take his side into three figures in the seventh over of the morning.

Slow and steady, with Lancs probably feeling they are another quick wicket away from taking a commanding grip on this match.

  4. Maximum batting points for Derbyshirepublished at 11:26 25 May

    Glos v Derbys 450-5

Marchant de Lange directs one in to Matthew Lamb's body, but the Derbyshire batter gets a glove on it and the single secures the fifth batting point for his side.

Lamb is now 195 not out in a monumental innings for his side.

  5. WICKET Pollock b Pennington 1published at 11:24 25 May

    Worcs 3-2 v Notts

    Woah!

Dillon Pennington appeals for leg before off Ed Pollock from the first ball of his third over.

Pollock lets the next three go, but plays slightly down the wrong line to the 19th ball of his stay. It bursts through the defences and flattens middle stump.

    Worcs are in early trouble.

New batter Rob Jones is the subject of another appeal first ball, but it's not out.

  6. Postpublished at 11:23 25 May

    Durham 191-8 v Somerset 171

Ben Raine is off the mark by slicing Craig Overton aerially through backward point for four.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that one, though, as a textbook cover drive brings Raine four more.

  7. Postpublished at 11:23 25 May

    Hants 118-1 v Surrey 127

Toby Albert is warming to his task here and guides Sean Abbott's second ball away for his fourth boundary.

Three balls later and then flicks legside for four more to move to 46. Good timing there from the youngster.

  8. 50 for Alex Daviespublished at 11:20 25 May

    Lancashire v Warwickshire 99-4

The Bears skipper brings up his 39th first class half-century from 121 balls with seven fours, nudging a George Balderson delivery off his pads to long leg.

A disciplined knock in the circumstances.

The only other two times the 29-year-old reached the milestone he went on to score 256 and 149. How his side could use another of those innings.

Jacob Bethell eventually gets off the mark after nine balls with a nice thick edge past the slips to the rope.

  9. WICKET Libby c Harrison b Fletcher 2published at 11:19 25 May

    Worcs 3-1 Notts

A recalled Luke Fletcher rumbles in for his third over to his former team-mate Jake Libby who is again happy to leave.

Five dots and then wow, what a catch!

His sixth ball takes Libby's outside edge to second slip where Calvin Harrison dives to his left to take a superb catch.

    That's a 450th first-class wicket for the Bulwell Bomber.

  10. WICKET Coughlin c Lammonby b Overton 2published at 11:19 25 May

    Durham 183-8 v Somerset 171

Good line from Craig Overton, Paul Coughlin tries to drive and it's a straightforward catch for Tom Lammonby at second slip.

Ben Raine is a very useful number 10 but David Bedingham apart, Durham are finding batting no easier than Somerset did yesterday.

  11. Bedingham falls early on day twopublished at 11:18 25 May

    Durham 181-7 v Somerset 171

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Last night David Bedingham became the first Durham player to score centuries in four consecutive innings. But strangely, in the last three he's been dismissed not long after reaching three figures.

While he made 144 at Hampshire two weeks ago, he was out for 101 and 103 at Blackpool and now 101 again. He edged the third delivery of the day from Jake Ball to the keeper.

In a tight game Durham were 180-7 at the time and leading by nine runs. Ball's figures of 4-41 are his best against Durham and his best for Somerset.

It was gloomy yesterday, with lots of low, heavy-looking cloud over Chester-le-Street. It is nice and sunny today, so batting conditions should be better. We'll see if that proves to be the case!

  12. Division Two round-uppublished at 11:15 25 May

Just a couple of runs so far at Lord's where Sussex are 297-4 against Middlesex - Cheteshwar Pujara has yet to add to his overnight 91 not out.

Yorkshire, though, are in positive mood and a flurry of early fours has taken them to 337-7 at Northampton, with Jordan Thompson on 33.

Glamorgan are 359-9 at Grace Road following the early loss of Sam Northeast. James Harris has been joined by number 11 Mir Hamza.

Derbyshire are 447-5 against Gloucestershire - a Matthew Lamb boundary at the start of a new Marchant de Lange over takes him to 192 not out.

  13. Postpublished at 11:14 25 May

    Hants 108-1 v Surrey 127

Sean Abbott gets a little bit of bounce out of the used pitch but Toby Albert deals with it well, dropping his hands and evading the lifting delivery.

The 22-year-old has impressed and is setting his first-class best score. That's 38 from 156 balls. Postively Boycott-esque.

Maiden and the deficit remains at 19.

  14. 300 up for Essexpublished at 11:14 25 May

    Kent v Essex 300-4

A second batting bonus point for the visitors, and they have 10 overs and change remaining to find another.

Jordan Cox brings it up with a single to deep square off Grant Stewart. He has 62 with Michael Pepper on 37. Their partnership is 75 from 115 balls.

  15. 'Bedingham will be disappointed to go so early'published at 11:12 25 May

    Durham 180-7 v Somerset 171

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

David Bedingham just pushed at that outside his off stump, a faint edge through to Jathe South AfricanBedingham in only the second over of the morning.

A wonderful innings of 101 but he'll be bitterly disappointed to have gone so early on this sunny morning perfect for batting.

    A perfect start for Somerset.

  16. WICKET: Mousley c Jennings b Balderson 2published at 11:11 25 May

    Lancashire v Warwickshire 93-4

Early breakthrough for the hosts. A perfect start. Dan Mousley opts to drive a wide one from George Balderson but can only edge to Keaton Jennings who takes a neat catch falling to his left at second slip.

Alex Davies needs someone to stick with him. Is Jacob Bethell that man? No Sam Hain, remember.

  17. Postpublished at 11:10 25 May

    Worcs 3-0 Notts

A touching moment before play this morning with a minute's applause for the late Worcs spinner Josh Baker.

Dillon Pennington, one of several former Pears making their return to New Road, opens up at the other end.

A tidy over, two singles from former Notts man Jake Libby and one for Ed Pollock.

  18. Postpublished at 11:09 25 May

    Lancashire v Warwickshire 89-3

Just a couple of scoring shots in the opening two overs at Old Trafford.

Alex Davies moves to 48 with Dan Mousley on two.

We have an extended day in Manchester of course, 104 overs on the slate after the weather hampered day one.

  19. WICKET Bedingham c Rew b Ball 101published at 11:07 25 May

    Durham 180-7 v Somerset 171

That is going to make the day seem a whole lot brighter for Somerset.

Jake Ball finds just enough movement away from the bat to have David Bedingham caught behind, having added only one to his overnight score.

Ball now has figures of 4-41, having been drafted into the match as a concussion replacement for Migael Pretorius.

  20. 'Bowlers will have to be patient on this pitch'published at 11:06 25 May

    Kent v Essex 292-4

    Matt Cole
    BBC Radio Kent

This pitch is slowish, flattish and difficult to make runs on but bowlers having to be very patient for their chances come few and far between.

Quite a lot of cloud today but the sun has broken out this morning.
