Truro's 6-0 win over Hereford United was their biggest of the season

Truro City manager Steve Tully hailed the impact of his substitutes after their 6-0 win over Hereford United in the Southern Premier League.

A second-half hat-trick from Cody Cooke provided the inspiration as City recorded their eighth win in 10 games.

"I'm especially pleased for the boys that came from the bench," Tully told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"I think Cody Cooke, Isaac Vassell and Niall Thompson have come in and done a really good job."

He continued: "They've been itching at the bit to get into the team and they've given me a real big headache for next week,"

Despite their emphatic win over a side that are in the division after being expelled from the Conference because of financial problems, Truro remained seventh in the table.

But they are just three points off second-placed Cirencester Town, and further three behind leaders Poole Town.

"We've got a really good squad here and they're really starting to believe in themselves and that's a really good sign.

"We're in a great position in the league, we just need to keep knocking the games off one-by-one and see where we end up.

"The lads believe in themselves, we've got a good squad, and well keep moving forward."

The Bulls, who are in the division trailed 1-0 at half time.
