Some nice play by Liverpool before the ball is played into the box for Darwin Nunez, but he is held off strongly by Trevoh Chalobah. Good defending.

Since last Sunday fans of other clubs have claimed Liverpool are an average team who only won the title because other teams had a poor season. Now they are complaining because this average team are not beating Chelsea away.

That's a big chance for Nunez and would have been a really good time to score. He's in front of Caicedo, it's a free header. He just doesn't look right at all.

Oh a poor miss from Darwin Nunez as he rises to meet a cross but plants his header well wide.

Had to get that on target from that distance.

Liverpool keep up the pressure as Moisés Caicedo clears a Mohamed Salah ball into the box, before Kostas Tsimikas tries to bundle his way through the defence but the ball bounces through to Robert Sanchez.

Liverpool may not care about Chelsea now but they are being well beaten after securing the Premier League title by a team that's still fighting for something.

The six rotations have left Arne Slot's team disjointed in defence and midfield. It has allowed Chelsea's best eleven to dominate from start to finish.

The away support remain in party mode, chanting "champions", which sums up how little this will bother them.

But a well-funded, one year older Chelsea squad with Champions League football behind them could be a big threat coming into next season.

Harvey Elliott takes the free-kick but drives it straight into the wall.

Better from Liverpool at the moment, however.

Liverpool fans are still having a party, still singing. They are 2-0 down and don't care - or maybe pretending they don't care!

    Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool

Liverpool have finally woken up a bit and win a corner. In comes the delivery to Virgil van Dijk, who has a free header but he loops his effort onto the roof of the net.

Nicolas Jackson gets the better of Jarell Quansah on the left and immediately decides to go for goal, but Alisson scoops up the ball at his near post.

If Jackson had paused for a moment he'd have seen he had options for the pass inside the box.

    Probably should have been 3-0.

Paul: Both goals come from Curtis Jones slipping and losing his man. Get some proper studs on lad!

Briyan: What an assist from Virgil van Dijk. He does more than just defending!

It hasn't been often that I've watched Liverpool this season and thought Mo Salah hasn't been the best attacker on the pitch but today Cole Palmer is the outstanding player. He has been brilliant.

Brilliant play down the right from Cole Palmer. He has not been at his best, but running at the defender he played it back from the byline, Quansah gets the goal but it was all down to Palmer with a piece of absolute brilliance.

That man Cole Palmer - he is class.

He just unbalances Tsimikas and plays it into a dangerous area.

It has been a feature of Chelsea's play that they have got bodies into the box in really good areas.

Van Dijk plays a one-two off Quansah into his own net. Quansah can't do anything about it.

    What a bizarre goal!

Cole Palmer does really well on the right and zips a low ball across the face of goal, Noni Madueke's attempt to stab in is thwarted but then Virgil van Dijk blasts the ball against Jarell Quansah's back and it rebounds back into the net.
