  2. Chelsea learn Champions League lessonpublished at 20:26 BST 17 September

Bayern Munich v Chelsea (20:00 BST)

Chelsea have been playing well but must learn that one lapse in concentration and you are punished at this level.

The goal came out of a situation where Bayern Munich had to re-take a free-kick because Serge Gnabry's pass hit the referee.

On the re-take, they left Michael Olise completely free on the right wing and he skipped past striker Joao Pedro's desperate attempt to stop him crossing. Defender Trevoh Chalobah then scored an own goal from the resulting low cross.

Now Michael Olise flicks it into Konrad Laimer, but Enzo Fernandez does enough to put the Bayern man off.

  4. 'Salah looking sharp'published at 20:25 BST 17 September

    Liverpool 2-0 Atletico Madrid

    Leon Osman
Former Everton and England midfielder on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Mohamed Salah has looked far sharper in these first 20 minutes or so than he has in any of Liverpool's first four Premier League games of the season.

You can hear more from Osman on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

Olise is loving it just now. He just did a lovely little back flick to Kimmich which took two players completely out of the game.

One thing these opening 25 minutes or so have told us...Mo Salah looks to be back to his very best. He looks to have an extra yard of pace, he's oozing confidence and he has Atletico's defenders terrified.

  8. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:23 BST 17 September

    PSG 1-0 Atalanta

Bradley Barcola wheels off in celebration after being played through on goal and slotting beyond Marco Carnesecchi but he's a yard or two offside.

How is this still only 1-0?

  9. 'Chalobah tries to leave it'published at 20:23 BST 17 September

    Bayern Munich 1-0 Chelsea

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Allianz Arena

Chelsea fell slightly asleep there. They were slow to get out an when Olise gets the ball he just cruises forward.

Then it's the simplicity of the ball into the middle, if you're a defender you don't want to touch it. Two Chelsea defenders leave it, Chalobah tries to leave it and it goes in off his knee.

Liverpool fans are singing the Diogo Jota song at full volume. Atletico Madrid's travelling support respond by applauding.

Moments later Mo Salah attempts an ambitious curling finish...it flies just wide.

Trevoh Chalobah own goal (20 mins)

This comes after Joshua Kimmich's free-kick hits the referee. He gets an unconested drop ball and Bayern push forward.

Michael Olise crosses from the right and Trevoh Chalobah, under pressure from Dayot Upamecano, diverts it past his own goalkeeper.

That is a huge chance for Atalanta to level!

Odilon Kossounou reads the play well, steps into midfield and wins the ball before knocking it off and carrying on his run.

The ball is played back for the centre half to strike in the box but he hooks it horribly over the top.

The Bayern problem is at left back. Chelsea are getting around the back of Stanisic time and time again. If there was a place that Chelsea could look to make a breakthrough it would be there.

I don't want to be all old man shouting at a cloud but I do not understand the point of Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo taking a goal-kick only to roll it to goalkeeper Robert Sanchez anyway.
