The scoreline clearly isn't irrelevant for Man Utd. A win against Chelsea equals belief and momentum. Another loss possibly equals finishing last in the Premier League of all the teams not going down. Obvious why Amorim has picked his first team.

Nicholas: Very professional defensive performance from many young Spurs players. Give Ange a few headaches for places on the bench.

Both Ruben Amorim and Enzo Maresca are angry at their respective players from the touchline for seemingly failing to carry out tactical duties.

It has been a pretty disjointed start from both teams with United just in poor form in the Premier League and Chelsea without their only striker Nicolas Jackson through suspension.

Surely Man Utd just need to avoid injuries tonight. The scoreline is largely irrelevant isn’t it?

What a chance that was. A good move from Chelsea back to front.

    Noni Madueke was probably offside.

Fantastic pass by Cole Palmer to pick out Noni Madueke in space in the box. Perfectly weighted past three United defenders but Madueke shins it over from six yards. The bounce just caught the ex-PSV winger out to be fair.

I can't help thinking Sarr would have been booked by now if Cash hadn't waved that imaginary card at the referee. It feels like Sarr could do an absolute leg breaker and only get a talking to now.
