Those with long enough memories will know before Sir Jim Ratcliffe bought Manchester United, he made a bid to buy Chelsea while under government sanctions under former owner Roman Abramovich.

He is now in the directors' box with sporting director Jason Wilcox as United owner.

It might look like Ratcliffe missed out on buying Chelsea to current owners Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital but there is a school of thought that it was a statement of intent before going in for United.

As good as Asensio has been, you can really see what Tielemans brings to Villa when he’s not in the side. A bit of cuteness and coolness missing.

Ruben Amorim has picked close to his strongest Manchester United XI whereas Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou has rung the changes.

For Postecoglou, it is openly about resting players for the Europa League final but Amorim has gone down the route of trying to play his team into some kind of form before the kick-off in Bilbao on Wednesday.

Maybe the fact Amorim is a newer manager struggling to get his system across plays into his thinking but it will be interesting to see who gains the most benefit from their approaches.
