The Sky Blues continue to threat.

They are averaging a corner every four minutes at the moment.

    Preston 0-0 Leeds

Leeds win their first corner of the game with some good play down their right.

The home side stand up to the initial delivery and the Whites can't create anything after picking up the loose ball.

    Coventry 0-0 Hull City

Coventry are straight up the other end with Ephron Mason-Clark who spins his man with a delightful turn on halfway.

He bursts down the left and his cross is diverted behind for a corner. It comes in for Luis Binks who heads straight at Ivor Pandur.

A sniff of goal for both sides but no major chances just yet.

  4. Leeds have to take care with final passpublished at 12:43 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2024

    Preston 0-0 Leeds

    Jon Newsome
Former Leeds defender on BBC Radio Leeds

    Final pass isn't it?

We've said it before, we've had loads of possession but it's just taking a bit of care with that final pass.

You can see what Preston are doing when we have the ball, they're sitting with five across the back and making it really difficult.

    Bristol City 0-0 QPR

Bristol City have certainly bossed the opening 10 minutes, with Rangers struggling to get the ball out of their own half.

Yu Hirakawa and Anis Mehmeti are seeing plenty of the ball on the flanks and it's all about digging in and soaking up pressure for the visitors at the moment.

Mehmeti has had another chance, meeting Zak Vyner's cross on the volley but ballooning it high over the bar. Would have been perfect for Bristol Bears, but not for City.

    Coventry 0-0 Hull City

Hull are just looking to threaten again as Regan Slater finds space inside the box on the right after Coventry fail to clear.

Slater tries to stand one up to the back stick but keeper Brad Collins is able to come out and catch.

    Preston 0-0 Leeds

Leeds will go back to the top of the Championship if they avoid defeat in Lancashire.

The home side have been the division's draw specialists this season with a whopping 11 from their 20 matches so far.

They've won just four games, the same as bottom side Plymouth, but have lost only six, one fewer than seventh-placed Middlesbrough.

    Coventry 0-0 Hull City

Fair to say the atmosphere has been pretty flat inside the ground in the first seven minutes or so.

Coventry break forward and see a cross deflected behind for a corner. They can't make anything of it but hopefully that's lifted the fans a little.

Leeds United are seeing lots of the ball as we anticipated they would.

    Coventry 0-0 Hull City

Coventry keeper Brad Collins makes a poor clearance and it goes straight to Hull's Regan Slater about 35 yards from goal.

The hosts do well to scamper back in and snuff out the attack but a nervy moment for the Sky Blues there.

  11. Postpublished at 12:34 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2024

    Preston 0-0 Leeds

    Bright start from both teams.

Leeds apply some early pressure but the home side clear and race right down to the other end.

Ali McCann cuts in on to his left foot but hammers a shot well wide.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 12:34 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2024

    Bristol City 0-0 QPR

Just a coat of paint prevents Anis Mehmeti from giving Bristol City a dream start.

Rangers half-cleared Max Bird's free-kick to the winger, who arrowed a left-foot drive past Paul Nardi and clipping the far post on its way behind.

Positive start from the home side.

  13. Postpublished at 12:33 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2024

    Coventry 0-0 Hull City

A cold but sunny winter afternoon in Coventry with the hosts in their usual sky blue shirts and socks with white shorts.

The visitors are looking very bright in their all orange strip. Will they be bright on the football front as well?

They win an early free-kick on the right-hand side and ex-Coventry man Kasey Palmer swings it in for Ryan Longman to connect with a header but he's flagged offside.

The bottom 10 in the Championship table before the games on 14 December

Hull City could lift themselves off the bottom - and potentially out of the relegation zone - if they win at Coventry and other results go their way today, as Plymouth travel to Sheffield United and Cardiff are at Stoke.

Oxford could be further dragged into the mix if they lose at home to Sheffield Wednesday, while QPR, Stoke, Luton and Preston will all be hoping to open up a wider gap between themselves and the bottom three.

Portsmouth will be spending the day sitting on the sofa and licking their wounds after a 4-0 shellacking at Derby last night.

The Championship table top 10 before the games on 14 December

Seven of the top 10 in the Championship are in action today with more movement likely in the race for promotion.

Leaders Sheffield United are above Leeds United by just the single point.

With Burnley not in action until tomorrow, both will end the day in the top two regardless, but which order they will be in remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, the chasing pack will look to close the gap, while Sunderland and Blackburn will aim to strengthen their hold on a place in the top six.

Coventry v Hull City (12:30 GMT)

Frank Lampard makes three changes to the Coventry City side that lost 2-0 at West Brom in midweek.

Luis Binks starts at centre-back, Jay Dasilva comes in at full-back and Victor Torp returns to the midfield.

Joel Latibeaudiere, Jake Bidwell and Josh Eccles all drop to the bench.

    Coventry line-up against Hull City

Ruben Selles has stuck with the same Hull City team that drew 1-1 at home to Watford for his second game in charge.

That means Wednesday's goalscorer Chris Bedia is once again among the substitutes.

Bristol City striker Nahki Wells comes into the Robins’ starting line-up against his former club, with another ex-QPR forward, Sinclair Armstrong, unavailable due to injury.

Wells is one of two changes to the City side that drew against Sunderland on Tuesday, with on-loan West Ham midfielder George Earthy starting in place of Marcus McGuane. Defender Ross McCrorie is among the substitutes, having not played since late October.

Coventry welcome Hull City this lunchtime as two new head coaches face off for an important clash in the bottom half of the Championship.

Sky Blues boss Frank Lampard tasted defeat for the first time in a 2-0 loss at West Brom on Wednesday night, while the Tigers drew 1-1 with Watford in Ruben Selles' first game in charge.

This will be game four and game two for Lampard and Selles respectively, with both their sides in the relegation conversation.

Hull's draw with the Hornets ended a run of six straight defeats but they are still rooted to the foot of the table and winless in their past 12 games.

Coventry are four points above the drop zone with one win in their past seven matches (D3 L3).
