It's all opening up at St. James' Park.

First there's a last-ditch block from Dan Burn who stays tall to deny Ferdi Kadioglu in the Newcastle area.

And then, at the other end, Anthony Gordon has shot straight at Seagulls keeper Bart Verbruggen.

  2. goal

    All square.

  3. Postpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 19 October

    Manchester United 2-1 Brentford

Brentford can't cope with United at the moment. Diogo Dalot, up from right back, holds off a marker to squeeze a shot at goal, but Mark Flekken was brave to smother the ball just in front of him.

  4. PENALTY AND RED CARDpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-1 Leicester

Jamie Vardy is clearly pulled back by Ryan Fraser in the six yard area, and VAR gives the penalty.

Anthony Taylor has no choice but to send off Fraser for denial of a clear goalscoring opportunity.

  5. Excellent from Lee Bettspublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 19 October

    Manchester United 2-1 Brentford

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Assistant referee Lee Betts will get no praise for that goal - and it's quite understandable.

Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes created it with an outstanding flicked pass and Rasmus Hojlund finished superbly with a delicate chip.

In a world of VAR, it would have been checked anyway but Betts can give himself a pat on the back for getting a very tight offside call spot on.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-1 Leicester

Abdul Fatawu has been superb since coming on, and twice in a few seconds comes inches from an equaliser.

The right winger cuts in on his left and curls a brilliant 30-yarder which smacks the crossbar which Aaron Ramsdale beaten.

Then a cross from the right is met by the head of Fatawu from six yards, and Ramsdale makes a brilliant reaction save down to his right.

The ball bobbles away, Jamie Vardy seems certain to finish the rebound - but he is pulled back by Ryan Fraser!

    VAR will look at this...

  8. Postpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 19 October

    Ipswich Town 0-2 Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin with a chance to wrap the game up. He is played in by Abdoulaye Doucoure, but it is an ugly finish on the left foot, dragging the ball wide when unmarked.

Not a hint of an Ipswich fightback so far in this second half.

The finish is a delight from Rasmus Hojlund.

It gets even worse for Fulham.

Another Bart Verbruggen save. Alexander Isak's quick feet gives the forward half a yard inside the box, but his strike is blocked by the legs of the Brighton keeper.

  17. Postpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 19 October

    Manchester United 1-1 Brentford

Brentford just can't get out. United look a completely different team. Alejandro Garnacho's tempting cross can't find a team-mate, before Bruno Fernandes glances a header well wide.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-1 Leicester

Southampton look to restore their two-goal lead sharply, and force a succession of corners.

Russel Martin also makes a double change - Cameron Archer and Mateus Fernandes are replaced by Paul Onuachu and Will Smallbone.

Also a sub for Leicester, as Jordan Ayew comes on for Bilal El Khannouss.

Garnacho is one of the few MU players that gives his all every game, regardless of whether he has a good or average game. Many of his teammates might want to take note!
