  1. CLOSE!published at 16:15 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-0 Leicester City

Jamie Vardy gets his best sight of goal so far in this game, fed into the area in space by Facundo Buonanotte. However he cannot get the ball out of his feet in time, allowing Yuki Sugawara to make a fine block.

Buonanotte then tries to curl one home from 25 yards, missing by inches.

  2. Postpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 19 October

    Manchester United 1-1 Brentford

Alejandro Garnacho has started the second half superbly. He nearly gets a second goal in five minutes, creating space 25 yards out and aiming for the bottom corner.

Mark Flekken, wearing a cap as he tries to cope with the sun in his eyes, gets down well to push it around the post.

It's been all United in the second half.

    Winger to winger.

A wonderful ball from Marcus Rashford fed in to the far post. Alejandro Garnacho meets it on the volley and he crashes it past Mark Flekken.

It is powered into the top corner. United responding in the right way.

  4. 'Unbelievable finish from Alejandro Garnacho'published at 16:14 British Summer Time 19 October

    Manchester United 1-1 Brentford

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC Final Score

It's an unbelievable finish from Alejandro Garnacho. He was running in from the left hand side and to hit it like that on his sidefoot, on the volley, unbelievable. A wonderful crossfield pass from Marcus Rashford too.

  5. Postpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 19 October

    Fulham 1-1 Aston Villa

It's been all Fulham since the restart. They win a corner which Villa just about clear.

  6. Postpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 19 October

    Newcastle 0-1 Brighton

Newcastle continue to pile on the pressure. Tino Livramento finds Alexander Isak on his right whose cross is headed over by Anthony Gordon.

  7. 'It's started to click for Saints but warning shots there'published at 16:10 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-0 Leicester

    Laura Kenyon
BBC Final Score at St Mary's Stadium

This feels like the type of performance Southampton fans were hoping for but thought may never come. After seven league games, it’s finally started to click. The possession translating into chances and goals. Arguably should be further ahead. There’s a buoyant atmosphere coursing through a sold out St Mary’s.

Having said that, there’s still a big 45 minutes to go. Leicester haven’t offered much, minimal chances but came incredibly close through Bilal El Khannouss. A right footed shot rattled the post. A section of fans thought it went in. Warning shots are there.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-0 Leicester City

Jamie Vardy is not having a party today.

The Leicester captain is booked for a nasty late tackle on Yukinari Sugawara.

Sugawara himself was booked a couple of minutes ago.

A brilliant equaliser for United within 90 seconds of the restart. Marcus Rashford with an angled ball from deep on the right, it finds Alejandro Garnacho at the back post and he hits a gorgeous volley past Mark Flekken.

  11. CLOSE!published at 16:09 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-0 Leicester City

Wout Faes nearly with the most spectacular own goal of the season!

A deep cross from the right by Southampton. Faes - who is in acres of space in the area and could easily clear - instead sends a powerful diving header towards his own net which Mads Hermansen does very well to palm over the bar.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 19 October

    Ipswich Town 0-2 Everton

Jordan Pickford of Everton celebratesImage source, Getty Images

A 15-minute delay to this one, but Everton deservedly go in two goals up, gifted goals by their generous hosts.

Iliman Ndiaye got the first after the hosts failed to clear, before Michael Keane added a second after again Ipswich failed to get rid of danger.

Absolute farce. De Ligt plays with that blood for a full few mins. Suddenly at a set piece the ref asks him to go off and they score from the exact spot he zonally marks? A farce.

    Ali

Forcing a team to take a centre half off just before a corner when it’s going to be half time straight afterwards is ridiculous. It can be treated then.

Leon Osman is dead right about Keane. He is a cracking finisher and I'm surprised he hasn't been given a run up top under Dyche, it would be a bit old school. His finishing puts Calvert-Lewin to shame, unfortunately.

    Chris

Ossie is spot on! Evertonians have been saying for ages to play Keane as a centre forward. He's a liability at the back but he's our best finisher!! Prefer him up front to DCL!

    Newcastle 0-1 Brighton

A corner off the training ground has the ball whipped back to Lewis Dunk who volleys over from the edge of the box.

Not quite Beckham passing to Scholes.

  17. Postpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-0 Leicester City

Leicester failed to have a shot on target in the first half, and barely threatened outside of a couple of set pieces. Jamie Vardy had a grand total of six touches in the opening 45 minutes.

Southampton are well on course for a first clean sheet of the season - but cannot rest on their laurels just yet.

It’s understandable why you can’t be on the pitch with a bleeding head, but then it also seems a tad unfair to have to defend the corner with 10 men against one of the best set piece teams in the league. In the sixth minute of the four added as well. Just shows the concussion rules still need taken care of properly.

    Freddie

No controversy around that Brentford goal at all; don’t know what the fuss is about. There’s blood everywhere and De Ligt has to go off and get it treated. Medical staffs fault for not doing it properly first time.

There’s only so many penalties Anthony Gordon can win. Newcastle’s inability to score from open play is frustrating and will cost them dearly this year.

  20. 'Keane is the best finisher at Everton'published at 16:03 British Summer Time 19 October

    Ipswich Town 0-2 Everton

    Leon Osman
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Final Score

I get laughed at sometimes when I say that Michael Keane is the best finisher at Everton, but he is unbelievable inside the opposing penalty area.

Quite often when chances fall in there you would want them to fall to him and that is as good a finish as you'll see from that range.
