What about this for a finish from Michael Keane. The defender in the box, and he's hit it like Erling Haaland. The ball flies into the back of the net. To the left of the six yard box, brilliant finish into the top of the net.

  2. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-0 Leicester City

Back under way at St Mary's.

  3. Postpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 19 October

    Ipswich Town 0-2 Everton

No joy for Kalvin Phillips. His free-kick is over the wall, but also over the bar. Everton good value for their lead, with Ipswich's defending once again looking Championship-standard at best.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 19 October

    Newcastle 0-1 Brighton

    We're off again in Newcastle.

Six of the home side's eight league goals this season have been scored in the second half.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 19 October

    Southampton 2-0 Leicester City

Steve Cooper is clearly unhappy with Leicester's first half display - as he should be.

Harry Winks is sent on at half time, replacing Oliver Skipp.

  6. Postpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 19 October

    Ipswich Town 0-2 Everton

Ipswich really need to score before half-time. They get a free-kick in a good spot as Idrissa Gueye brings down Liam Delap.

Anyone complaining about Utd having De Light off the pitch, their medical team had two prior opportunities to properly treat it. That error was why he was off the pitch.

    Tommy K

What's the controversy?! Since when did matches wait for treated players to return? Or am I missing something !!?

Erik ten Hag reacts following Brentford's first goal scored by Ethan Pinnock as his player, Matthijs de Ligt receives treatment on the sidelineImage source, Getty Images

I don't think Manchester United have a point here. That is the third occasion that Matthijs de Ligt has had to go off because of this cut to his head. Two previous times they have failed to secure the wound, whether that be to stitch it or put a substitution on.

We had been asking for five or ten minutes before the goal, 'how is he still on the pitch?' The blood is pouring down his face so the referee has to send him off the pitch. On top of that the marking from Dalot is poor.

  9. 'A brilliant header'published at 15:59 British Summer Time 19 October

    HT: Manchester United 0-1 Brentford

Ruud van Nistelrooy and Erik ten Hag having a word with the fourth official.

Man Utd can moan as much as they like. It's a head injury and De Ligt is right to go off.

It takes nothing away from the goal, it was a brilliant header from Ethan Pinnock. Casemiro should do better he doesn't read the flight of the ball very well.

There's a huge second half coming up for Erik ten Hag and Manchester United.

Manchester United had felt their way into the game. Brentford had the better of the play in the early exchanges. It is a pretty average performance from Man Utd and everybody expects more.

  10. Furious Man Utdpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 19 October

    Manchester United 0-1 Brentford

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Let me recap what happened there.

Brentford get a corner, referee Sam Barrott makes Matthijs de Ligt go to the touchline to get treatment as the cut on his head has reopened.

Brentford take the corner and score.

United assistant manager Ruud van Nistelrooy goes to fourth official Gavin Ward in a fury. De Ligt kicks out at something on the touchline. Erik ten Hag also marches out to shout at the fourth official.

Definitiely Van Nistelrooy and I think Ten Hag booked.

    Man Utd in trouble.

Re Bevan: Southgate used Dunk in some of the Euro warm ups and he looked completely out of his depth against international opposition

    Andrew

I hope Tuchel was watching when Dunk was shown to be nowhere near a top international defender when actually playing international football

GOAL - Ipswich Town 0-2 Evertonpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 19 October

    Michael Keane

Everton get a corner on the left and once again Ipswich Town's defending is very poor. Dwight McNeil is able to skilfully spin on the edge of the penalty area, he slides it left to Michael Keane, who blasts a finish past Arijanet Muric at his near post and into the roof of the net.

Ipswich have not won this season, it doesn't look like ending today.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 19 October

    Manchester United 0-1 Brentford

Huge controversy as Brentford lead, scoring when United were down to 10 men with Matthijs de Ligt off the pitch with his head wound being treated.

  14. 'Bad things happen but you must compete with right mentality'published at 15:55 British Summer Time 19 October

    FT: Tottenham 4-1 West Ham

    West Ham United

West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui speaking to TNT Sports, first on Mohammed Kudus' red card: "I can't see the action on the TV but we have to accept and this is the kind of action we have to avoid. We need the right behaviour to compete and fight until the end with 11 players.

"For sure we are disappointed. We came here with big expectations, knowing the difficulties we would have against Tottenham, who are one of the best teams in the Premier League. In the same way, trying to believe in us.

"We did well in a lot of moments until the first minutes in the second half and the second goal.

"We have to keep our principles until the end to be able to be strong as a team in the bad moments. That is one thing we have to learn.

"Bad things happen but you have to compete until the end with the right mentality".

Cooper needs to go before it's too late. Bizarre appointment that's now backed up with indefensible team decisions (Ricardo? Winks? Fatawu?) and the players looking like there is no plan and they're not being coached. Complete opposite of last year where our identity was clear every week.

    Ben

Is it possible to sack a manager at half time? Because Cooper needs to go now!!

With United defender Matthis de Ligt off the pitch having his head wound being treated, Brentford capitalise. A corner comes in from the left and Ethan Pinnock rises well and powers a header into the net.

United boss Erik ten Hag is furious and talks himself into a yellow card.

  19. 'A penalty grey area'published at 15:48 British Summer Time 19 October

    Ipswich Town 0-1 Everton

    Leon Osman
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Final Score

The defender has stepped in the middle of the ball and the striker, in the middle of the run really. Jack Clarke initiated the contact, he kicked Dwight McNeil and then went to ground, but McNeil positioned himself between the forward and the ball.

It is a bit of a grey area and is all about the referee's opinion.

Leicester are booed off by their travelling fans.
