Bournemouth can't really be giving the ball away on the edge of the 18 yard box. In four or five seconds there Arsenal were up the other end of the pitch and they were left scrambling trying to clear it. It was sloppy play.

Leicester's Jordan Ayew, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "Massive three points, back to back wins especially after the international break is not easy. We did well, we fought, we pushed them and pushed ourselves as well and got the three points. Onto the next one."

On the change between the two halves: "I just think there was more desire, more intent, more positivity in our mindset. That's what made a difference."

On staying on the edge of the box for his goal: "It was just natural instinct. Luckily the ball came, it wasn't easy but I managed to score. We're all happy and hopefully there is more to come.

"Everyone was happy and that's what we play football for, these kinds of moments."

On getting back to back wins: "We just need to stay humble because we were losing 2-0 so all is not perfect. It's not going to be every weekend like this, it's going to be tough. But we have a quality group, we believe in ourselves, we believe in our manager. We are going to give our best for the club."

On their strength in depth: "We are a group of 25 or 26 players and everyone will play a part this season. It's not only 11 players and we all need to stay positive and work hard for the team."

Bournemouth have started well here, Evanilson winning a corner off William Saliba.

The set piece does not beat the first man, however, and allows Arsenal to break. Eventually Ben White wins a corner off Marco Senesi up the other end.

Bournemouth are pressing quite aggressively and trying to stop Arsenal from playing out. It's a dangerous thing to do if Arsenal manage to play through it but it is a positive start out of possession from the home side.

The set piece is dangerous from Lewis Cook, swept to the back post, but it is headed away by Riccardo Calafiori.

Ben White pushes over Alex Scott quite needlessly, and Bournemouth have a free kick in a good area - on the left wing, level with the edge of the Arsenal box.

Matty AFC: Our line-up today is insane considering our best two forwards are injured and we have Martinelli, Jesus and Nwaneri on the bench.

A quiet opening five minutes at Bournemouth. Arsenal seeing most of the ball, as we expected.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, speaking to PLP: "They scored in the first five minutes, but we knuckled down after that and we dominate pretty much most of the game. We should have scored a few more, but in the second half we put our foot on the gas and we deserved the win.

On the quick response with his equaliser: "It was massive to respond how we did so quickly. It helped settle the nerves and we were generally playing well and to get it so quick did help."

On Emiliano Martinez's penalty save: "That's why he's the best. That's what he does. If it goes 2-1 anything can happen in the game."

On Ollie Watkins' goal: "We work hard on set-pieces leading into every game. We know how they setup and we are trying to score - it's an opportunity. Ollie puts it away as he normally does."

On the three points: "After the international break you start fresh with a clean slate and to get the win is massive. We have an important week and it's just the start of it."

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton captain Lewis Dunk speaking to BBC Match of the Day on Danny Welbeck's injury: "I'm gutted to see him go off, he's been in top, top form this season. Hopefully it's not a bad injury and he'll be back soon.

"He was ruthless scoring his goal. Me and him have a good link up.

"He's one of the top professionals at this football club and he's a great key to our success. He helps everyone, young and old. Hopefully his injury is not too bad and we'll have him fighting to get fit."

On his own fight to get back into the England squad: "We shall see."

A 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium on Boxing Day 2019 was Mikel Arteta's first game in charge of Arsenal.

He has won every league match against Bournemouth since.

After the players take a knee, our evening entertainment has begun.

Bournemouth have lost 11 of their 14 Premier League games against Arsenal, though all three exceptions have been in home games - including their only top flight victory over the Gunners, 2-1 in January 2018.

Can they upset the form book and repeat that feat today?

After a magnificent pre-match mixtape, the players emerge to the sounds of Enter Sandman by Metallica. Superb.

Kick-off at Vitality Stadium is a few minutes away.

It was a big win for Everton, who stay 16th, but now move four points clear of Ipswich as the bottom four are now adrift of the rest.

Arsenal have got a few injury issues to deal with, including Bukayo Saka, who limped off with a hamstring injury during England's defeat by Greece.

Martin Odegaard is also still sidelined, but we know that the Gunners can still grind out results even if they are missing some of their best attacking players.

They have an excellent defence, which is behind this habit they have of always finding a way to get a result, but this time I would not be surprised if they came unstuck.

Bournemouth always create chances, whoever they play against. The Cherries' issue has been that they have not always taken those opportunities... but Saturday could be a different story.

Sutton's prediction: 1-1

After today's games so far, this is how it stands at the top. Aston Villa go up to fourth, while Arsenal will go top with a win at Bournemouth.

On Riccardo Calafiori's start to life at Arsenal...

Calafiori has fitted in perfectly at Arsenal and he is really enjoying it. He's playing with a lot of freedom, but the main thing he's brought in is because of his defending.

He's a tight defender and likes to win the ball back. But you even see him making runs like a number 9. His awareness is fantastic and he's playing with a freedom that his manager Mikel Arteta and teammates are enjoying.

He's got a real quality when the moment comes, like we saw with that goal against Manchester City.
