Be interesting to see how Inamura and Yamada perform for Celtic. Hopefully Yamada gets a goal or two and Inamura has a good game. That way they'd prove good additions to the squad.

    John

Yamada needs a goal for confidence and to get the crowd behind him. Celtic fans are not seeing a striker who looks like they can score 25 goals a season.

Cammy Devlin works hard and closes down on players fast for Hearts, but he does give away free kicks in dangerous areas. He gave one away last week to St Mirren, and they scored from it. Tendency to dive in too much, I think.

    Hearts 0-1 Motherwell

Stuart Findlay, who has scored three league goals already, gets himself free from a corner but his header is straight at Motherwell goalkeeper Callum Ward.

David Martindale will be very, very happy at the moment.

Eventually, if they get up the pitch in that top third, they'll play balls into the box and ask questions of Celtic.

  6. Postpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee

And now a yellow card for Brad Lyons, the Kilmarnock captain, as he cuts Luke Graham in half when the Dundee defender tries to step out from the back.

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee

    Welcome back, Simon Murray.

The Dundee captain is into the book for dissent, having reacted furiously to an offside decision which saw him penalised.

Some banners appear in the Celtic 'ultras' section. "Zero ambition" reads one. "Neglect team" and "rinse fans" on two others. The words "world class" scored out and replaced with "basic board".

Add to that some chants of "sack the board", and it could yet prove to be a very uncomfortable afternoon for the Celtic directors sitting in the main stand.

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee

    Offside...

We're not quite sure who was in an illegal position, but either way, the goal is chalked off.

  11. goal

GOAL Hearts 0-1 Motherwellpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time

    Callum Slattery

A deserved lead for Motherwell. It's an unfortunate goal for Hearts to conceded, though.

Motherwell work a short corner which allows Slattery to drive a low shot towards the target, and it takes a massive deflection off Craig Halkett and into the net.

  12. goal

GOAL Kilmarnock 0-1 Dundeepublished at 15:20 British Summer Time

    Joe Westley

We'd just been talking about Killie putting Dundee under pressure, but the visitors got up the right and Robbie Deas failed to deal with the cross.

The ball dropped to Westley and he chipped it over the keeper, and Ethan Schilte-Brown could only clear into his own net.

  13. CLOSE!published at 15:18 British Summer Time

    Hearts 0-0 Motherwell

Motherwell are playing the better stuff at Tynecastle.

They work it from the back really well and Emmanuel Longelo eventually lays the ball to Elliot Watt.

The midfielder shifts it on to his left foot and curls a shot just over the top.

  15. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time

    Hearts 0-0 Motherwell

Cammy Devlin appeals to referee John Beaton after he's penalised for a foul on Elijah Just.

Not sure why, it's a clear free kick. It's a chance for Motherwell to get the ball in the box. Kofi Balmer makes a good run and gets a header on Callum Slattery's cross, but it's well over the top.

  16. 'Space there for Celtic'published at 15:16 British Summer Time

    Celtic 0-0 Livingston

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

That's the run that you're looking for.

From Livingston's point of view, there are three centre-halves up against one striker. It's good defending but the space was there to be exploited.

  17. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time

    Celtic 0-0 Livingston

Shin Yamada thinks he has put Celtic in front from close range but the offside flag is up.

Arne Engels just went too early with his run beyond the Livingston defence before setting up his team-mate.

Celtic should win this, but they will struggle against better teams. Why are they moaning about needing players when they have brought in a few, and are always saying they have the best squad in Scotland. As for Jamie Vardy coming in that would be a waste of a wage...

  19. Postpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee

Another injury delay at Rugby Park. This time it's Jon McCracken, the Dundee keeper, who is receiving treatment.

It's an issue with his hand and Trevor Carson is out there warming up.

  20. Postpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time

    Hearts 0-0 Motherwell

Pierre Landry Kabore gets the first strike away for Hearts. He drags his shot from just inside the box well past the post.
