I'm surprised to see so many changes. I thought there would be changes, but not eight.

Alistair Johnston missing is a huge blow. They'll need to think about getting in a right-back. Rodgers is talking about a young player coming in to hold that position, they need cover.

    Kilmarnock v Dundee (15:00)

Kilmarnock have made just one change from the 2-1 League Cup win over Dundee United, with Djenairo Daniels missing after picking up an injury in that victory.

Greg Kiltie makes his first league start since returning to the club.

Simon Murray returns for visiting Dundee to captain up front, with Yan Dhanda making a first start since joining on loan from Hearts.

Ashley Hay drops to the bench but there's no sign of Paul Digby. Cameron Congreve, who joined on loan from Swansea yesterday, is named on the bench.

    Hearts v Motherwell (15:00)

Hearts boss Derek McInnes makes three changes after last week's League Cup disappointment in Paisley, and it could well be a change of shape too.

Michael Steinwender comes in and may be at right-back rather than centre-back, with Alan Forrest and James Wilson joining the attack.

Frankie Kent, Tomas Magnussen and Alexandros Kyziridis drop to the bench.

Motherwell change two from their cup victory over St Johnstone. Kofi Balmer and Callum Slattery replace Ibrahim Said and Tom Sparrow.

  9. 'No conflict' within Celtic, says Rodgerspublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 23 August

    Celtic v Livingston (15:00)

The main narrative around Celtic this summer has been Brendan Rodgers' frustration over the lack of new faces.

At yesterday's media conference, the manager stressed there was "absolutely no chance" of him bailing out before his contract is up next year.

He added that there was "no conflict" with those running the club, who have been the target of fans' ire of late.

"People will try to find that conflict between me and the board and me and whoever," he said. "It really isn't the case."
