The front four are making it really difficult for Burnley, it's a really good setup from Blades.

We know Burnley are very pragmatic in their build-up, our boys are pressing well and limiting the chances for Burnley.

There's really encouraging signs so far.

    End-to-end stuff, this.

Jaidon Anthony fires it goalwards from the left edge of the area for Burnley and Zian Flemming gets himself in a muddle and blocks the effort about three yards out...

Flemming was trying to steer it in himself but couldn't sort his feet out.

    Good chance goes to waste.

Sheffield United win a corner on the right and it's sent in by Harrison Burrows but Burnley's mean defence are able to clear it initially.

Maxime Esteve is the only player to start every league game for Burnley this season and Sheffield United's Ben Brereton Diaz tries to put him under pressure but Esteve does well to shepherd it out for a goal-kick to the Clarets.

Burnley then launch it forward and United's Anel Ahmedhodzic comes steaming into the aerial challenge with Zian Flemming and catches the Millwall loanee in the head.

Free-kick and just a talking to for the Blades defender.

    David Unsworth
Former Burnley and Everton defender on BBC Radio Lancashire

The interesting thing about Sheffield United is they aren't playing 4-4-2 - they are playing with a front four.

They are absolutely going for it. Any time they get any ball it's just going up to the front four.

  12. Postpublished at 3 mins

Burnley are straight up the other end on the attack but the referee spots a foul by Hannibal Mejbri and the move breaks down.

What a start this almost is for Sheffield United... right from they off, they get into the Burnley box on the right with Tom Cannon.

He pulls it back for Kieffer Moore who spins on it and gets an effort on target from about 12 yards out.

It's straight at James Trafford in the Burnley goal, luckily for the Clarets.

Could there be much more riding on a Championship fixture than this?

Not only will Burnley be promoted to the Premier League if they win, Leeds United also will - and even a draw this evening would do it for the Whites.

Sheffield United need the points to keep their own automatic promotion battle alive.

    Here we go then...

Burnley boss Scott Parker sticks with the same starting line-up from the 2-1 win at Watford on Good Friday.

Chris Wilder makes four changes to his Sheffield United team that beat Cardiff 2-0.

Tom Cannon, Kieffer Moore and Ben Brereton Diaz come into the attack and Jack Robinson returns to captain the side.

Rob Holding, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Rhian Brewster and Tyrese Campbell all drop to the bench.

The objective couldn't be clearer for Burnley today, nor could there be a bigger prize than the one on offer - beat Sheffield United and the Clarets will return to the Premier League.

Scott Parker's side have faced praise and criticism in equal measure for their pragmatic approach this season, having conceded just 14 goals and kept 29 clean sheets in a record-breaking campaign from a defensive perspective.

But there can be absolutely no argument that Burnley's methods have been a success if they go up and they come into this huge clash against the Blades on a remarkable 30-game unbeaten run (W19 D11).

Burnley have bounced back into the top flight at the first time of asking the previous two times they've been relegated from the Premier League in 2015 and 2022.

Victory at Turf Moor this evening would see them do it for a third consecutive time.

  18. Must-win for Blades' automatic promotion hopespublished at 17:21 British Summer Time 21 April

Burnley v Sheff Utd (17:30 BST)

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder arrives at Elland RoadImage source, Rex Features

If Sheffield United are to maintain any realistic hopes of automatic promotion to the Premier League, they have to do something 21 teams have tried and failed to do in the Championship this season and that is win against Burnley at Turf Moor.

The Blades hit a major blip at just the wrong time at the beginning of this month, losing three on the bounce before stopping the rot with a 2-0 win over Cardiff on Good Friday.

But Chris Wilder's side are five points behind second-placed Burnley with just three games remaining.

Defeat today would end United's chances of going straight up and would mean they'll have to settle for a play-off spot.

A draw would mean they live to fight another day but would remain five points back with only two games remaining and a vastly inferior goal difference.

So there it is for Leeds United.

They'll be celebrating promotion to the Premier League if Sheffield United fail to beat Burnley this evening.

Look at how far back the other three sides in the top six are - it really has been a three-horse race.

The energy is still here inside Elland Road.

Considering the amount of pressure the lads must be under it's a tremendous performance.

There has been questions asked of mentality throughout the season but there's no questions about mentality today.

The stadium filled up early and created this buzz. Those early goals just got everybody behind them. We were a bit shell-shocked after the fourth, fifth, and sixth.
