There were a few disappointing results lingering around the fight for the play-offs but it's made things rather interesting.

Wins for Millwall and Blackburn Rovers have them firmly in the fight, while a loss for West Bromwich Albion has left them with little hope of a lifeline to the top six.

Bristol City fail to secure their place today after a shock loss to Luton Town but aren't punished too much as closest rivals Coventry City and Middlesbrough equally lose to struggling sides.

Many a surprise then and with two games to go, maybe more to come.

Now, it is less about how the Hatters perform, but how the results around us go. We may get positive results from our last two games, but we could still go down! COYH

    Brandon, Luton

I’ve never been this happy after a loss. Our play-off rivals all lost. Is it too early to book a hotel outside Wembley?

    Mitchell, Coventry fan

Being a Watford fan is such a rollercoaster at the moment. Cleverly needs to find some stability for the last few games. Doesn’t help when we can’t keep 11 men on the pitch!

Bottom 10 of the Championship table

This Championship relegation battle is going to the wire.

Plymouth, Luton and Derby all picked up wins to keep their survival hopes very much alive.

Preston's defeat at Hull means they have been dragged back into the scrap, while Oxford's 1-1 draw at Cardiff keeps them in the mix.

Just three points separating Preston in 18th from Luton in 22nd.

It's still anyone's guess as to who will stay up.

  4. 'Not at the races today'published at 17:09 British Summer Time 21 April

    FT: Plymouth 3-1 Coventry

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

They were never really at the races the day. Sometimes you get days where you're not at it and today was one of those days.

There was some careless defending today. The only good thing to come from today was that other results went our way.

The promotion race is still in our hands.

  5. 'The boys have made us all proud'published at 17:07 British Summer Time 21 April

    Leeds 6-0 Stoke

    Aidy White
Former Leeds United full-back on BBC Radio Leeds

We've got to wait on games tonight. The boys are dancing to I Predict a Riot.

If we have to do this again next week then so be it. The boys have made us all super proud and you can't ask for much more given the pressure they were under today.

As much as Tony Mowbray is a nice guy, it just isn't working. Hopefully he'll resign and we can start the rebuild, AGAIN.

    Daz in Birmingham

Shame to say it but Mowbray just hasn’t worked at the Albion, change needed in the summer, squad needs a complete clear out, lot of deadwood knocking about still.

    FT: Leeds 6-0 Stoke

    Adam Pope
    BBC Radio Leeds commentator

It's Harry Gray leading the dancing to our left hand side.

No one is leaving Elland Road. They're all applauding, the South Stand is still absolutely packed out.

  8. 'The mentality has been totally different'published at 17:03 British Summer Time 21 April

    FT: Leeds 6-0 Stoke

    Aidy White
Former Leeds United full-back on BBC Radio Leeds

They'll have a great get-together in the changing room.

Everyone has put in a tremendous shift this year. The mentality has just been totally different this year.

It's teams that get you promoted, not individuals. If it is to go their way today, they should be so proud.

  9. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 21 April

    Portsmouth 1-0 Watford

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 21 April

    Millwall 3-1 Norwich

  11. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 21 April

    QPR 1-2 Swansea

    The Swans go six unbeaten.

Alan Sheehan will be absolutely delighted with the performance today as they take all three points in the capital.

An own goal from Morgan Fox and a scrambled finish from Harry Darling gave was enough for the victory.

A late fightback from QPR after a nice finish from Karamoko Dembele wasn't enough in the end.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 21 April

    Sheff Wed 2-1 Middlesbrough

A big opportunity missed for Middlesbrough in their play-off quest.

Boro led through Finn Azaz's clever early finish but were pegged back by Josh Windass' close-range strike at the back post before Anthony Musaba's tap-in completed the comeback for Wednesday.

With Bristol City and Coventry also both losing, Boro miss the chance to move into the top six.

  13. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 21 April

    Sheff Wed 2-1 Middlesbrough

Oh my word... how have Boro not equalised?!?!

Delano Burgzorg gets in behind but it's saved brilliantly by Owls keeper Pierce Charles.

The rebound drops to Tommy Conway about nine yards out and he hammers an effort off the underside of the crossbar and it lands on the goal-line before bouncing out.

    Unbelievable.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 21 April

    West Brom 1-3 Derby

West Brom's play-off hopes all but over.

Derby remain outside the drop zone on goal difference.

Goals from Ebou Adams and Jerry Yates handed the Rams a 2-0 lead at the break and they were comfortable until Adam Armstrong grabbed one back with 20 minutes remaining.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing eased any nerves with a third and that trip to Hull City next weekend just became a little bigger.

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 21 April

    Leeds 6-0 Stoke

Stoke are brushed aside by a sensational Leeds performance.

One worthy of a place in the Premier League next year?

Joel Piroe's four helps Leeds into a spectacular win against a woeful Stoke side but Elland Road can't celebrate promotion just yet.

Their hopes now lie in their rivals Burnley, who could send them both into the top flight should they defeat Sheffield United this afternoon.

A nervous wait but for now, they'll be filtered out the stands buzzing with the spectacle they've just been treated to.

  16. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 21 April

    Cardiff 1-1 Oxford

Disappointment for Cardiff. Great point for Oxford.

The Bluebirds looked to be on course for a vital three points in their battle to avoid the drop when Yousef Salech headed them in front after 56 minutes.

But Cameron Brannagan's 35-yard wonderstrike rescued a crucial draw for the U's.

  17. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 21 April

    Sunderland 0-1 Blackburn

Blackburn keep their play-off dreams alive with a win over fourth placed Sunderland.

The Black Cats provided plenty of attack but the seven changes from Regis Le Bris did not pay off. They couldn't find the net while Blackburn offered very little goal threat but found the only goal that mattered.

  18. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 21 April

    Leeds 6-0 Stoke

Elland Road haven't seen enough misery for Stoke.

They want a penalty after Patrick Bamford makes a sprint for it behind the Potters defence and runs into keeper Viktor Johansson.

The referee says there's no wrong-doing though and we play on.

Three minutes of added time left now.

  19. INJURY TIMEpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 21 April

    Sheff Wed 2-1 Middlesbrough

Eight minutes of stoppage time to be played at Hillsborough and we've had five of them.

Can Boro salvage a late point?

  20. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 21 April

    Hull 2-1 Preston

A crucial victory for the Tigers.

Two penalties from former Leeds man Joe Gelhardt seals all three points for Hull.

This result drags Preston into this relegation battle as it leaves them only three points above the drop.
