This is the first FA Cup meeting between Bournemouth and West Brom since January 1999, with the Cherries winning a third round tie 1-0 thanks to an Eddie Howe goal.

West Brom are winless in their last five away games against Bournemouth in all competitions (D2 L3), since a 4-1 League Cup victory in August 2011.

This is Bournemouth’s fifth consecutive FA Cup match against Championship opposition – they lost a third round tie against Burnley 4-2 in January 2023, beat QPR and Swansea in rounds three and four last season before a fifth round defeat to Leicester.

West Brom have been eliminated from 13 of their last 16 FA Cup ties against Premier League opponents, with the exceptions coming in 2014-15 (v West Ham), 2017-18 (v Liverpool) and 2019-20 (v West Ham).
