Jamie Andrews and Sam Ashford fired National League strugglers Woking to a first victory of the season as they emerged from their trip to Morecambe with a win.

The visitors enjoyed the better of the first-half chances with Tariq Hinds and Harry Beautyman going close early on and Jack Turner seeing his deflected effort loop just over the bar.

Shrimps goalkeeper Archie Mair denied Beautyman from a 20th-minute corner and then saved Andrews' header to ensure his side went in level at the break.

It was Andrews who finally forced the breakthrough nine minutes after the restart when he reacted first after Aiden O'Brien's close-range attempt broke to him.

Gwion Edwards went close to an equaliser before substitute Ashford doubled Woking's advantage deep into stoppage time to wrap up the points.
