Southend extended their unbeaten start in the National League to six games with a 2-1 victory at Solihull.
Andrew Dallas, on loan from Barnsley, opened his Shrimpers' account with a brace and gave the visitors a perfect fifth-minute start by converting a pass from Gus Scott-Morriss.
Solihull, who saw Szhem Whyte-Hall's effort cleared off the line in the opening 60 seconds, levelled after 53 minutes through Dan Creaney's superb long-range effort.
Scottish striker Dallas swivelled on Slavi Spasov's cross with 18 minutes remaining to grab the winner from close range.
Solihull remain winless in six games with three draws and three defeats.
