Hady Ghandour's 77th-minute equaliser ensured Aldershot took a point in a topsy-turvy 3-3 draw at Gateshead.
Doncaster loanee Kyle Hurst got the scoring started early, firing the hosts in front after five minutes, before Kwame Thomas drew the sides level 14 minutes later, nodding home from Josh Barrett's cross.
Aldershot took the lead when Cameron Hargreaves fired past Tiernan Brooks in the 26th minute, then Hurst netted his second of the game on the hour, assisted by Harry Chapman, who got himself on the scoresheet a minute later to put Gateshead 3-2 up.
Barrett clipped a post with a free-kick, but it was all square when Ghandour buried the rebound, and a would-be Aldershot stoppage-time winner was chalked off for a foul.
