The U's remain unbeaten under Gary Rowett and make it four successive home wins while it's now 11 straight away defeats for Luton.

Tom Krauss and Mark McGuinness twice gave the visitors the lead before the break with Michal Helik initially equalsing.

Ciaron Brown drew Oxford level for the second time just before the hour and an unmarked Greg Leigh headed what proved to be the winner 10 minutes later.

Oxford are now closer to the play-off places than they are to the drop zone.

Luton have only once lost more than 11 successive away games in the league and that was back in 1928 - they might be pleased to get back to Kenilworth Road to face Millwall on Saturday.

  3. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Middlesbrough 2-0 West Brom

Job very well done from Middlesbrough tonight as they take a firm step back into the top six.

It is is down to Sunderland to see it out now.

  8. goal

GOAL Bolton 1-2 Charltonpublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Karoy Anderson (87 mins)

Ohhhhhh Bolton.... they've had enough chances to win two games but Addicks sub Karoy Anderson has come off the bench to silence the home fans (not for long) with a deflected strike and put the Addicks ahead in the final few moments.

A lively finish in store at the Toughsheet, you'd expect.

  9. Disallowed goalpublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Blackburn 0-2 Coventry

Blackburn thought they had some late hope as Andreas Weimann raced through to score.

But the flag was up for offside.

    And that surely is that.

  10. goal

GOAL: Peterborough 1-1 Exeterpublished at 21:34 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Millenic Alli (90+1mins)

Exeter have surely snatched a point from this one.

Demetri Mitchell is tripped in the area and that is a stonewall penalty. Millenic Alli takes the ball and his shot is saved by Nicholas Bilokapic.

But it is back into the middle and Alli is able to stroke the rebound in to level things.

  15. Not Isidor's night - again!published at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Derby 0-1 Sunderland

It's worth asking how Wilson Isidor has not scored a goal in the last two games.

He has hit the post, had two penalties saved, had a 70-yard run at goal ended right at the last and then a goal disallowed in the most controversial manner.

He must be hoping for a change of luck some time soon!

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Oxford United 3-2 Luton Town

Not something you see every day but Oxford substitute Sam Long is cautioned as he prevents Luton taking a throw-in by running across his man - he makes out he was just warming-up but referee Stephen Martin knows exactly what he was doing!

  17. Postpublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Derby 0-1 Sunderland

    Nick Barnes
    BBC Newcastle's Sunderland commentator

I can't believe there won't be drama in these last 10 minutes, with the way this game is bubbling up.

Paul Warne is yelling at his players to get the ball forward.

  18. Postpublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Middlesbrough 2-0 West Brom

Middlesbrough are going fifth with this result, above both Blackburn and tonight's opponents, so that shows how important this result is.

After some recent wobbles, this has been a reassuring night, so far.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Millwall 2-1 Cardiff

Omer Riza is going for this.

Cian Ashford and Yousef Salech are thrown on for the final 20 minutes and change.

Rubin Colwill and Yakou Meite are the players withdrawn.

  20. Postpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Swansea 1-2 Sheff Utd

The game is incredibly stretched, with Sheffield United looking capable of scoring whenever they pinch possession against the 10-men. The hosts are not giving it up, however, and Blades defender Anel Ahmedhodzic becomes the umpteenth player to have his name taken by Dean Whitestone, who presumably has to tap each name into his little stone tablet using a chisel.
