    Millwall 2-1 Cardiff

The nerves might be jangling now but Millwall arrested their slump with a breathtaking start which saw them 2-0 up inside 19 minutes.

Teenage Liverpool loanee Calum Scanlon netted his first senior goal after just 61 seconds with an absolutely glorious first-time effort into the top corner from a seemingly impossible angle.

Raees Bangura-Williams then showcased his immense potential with some lightning footwork to create space for a pass to Casper de Norre to stroke the second.

Millwall looked like a team possessed but Chris Willock's fine finish has set the second half up nicely.

  2. goal

GOAL Millwall 2-1 Cardiffpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Chris Willock (45+1 min)

    Game on?

    Out of nowhere...

Millwall have a man on the deck as the ball is shifted left for Chris Willock who takes a touch inside and then unleashes a fine strike inside the far post to give Cardiff a lifeline just before the break.

  3. Postpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Millwall 2-0 Cardiff

The Lions are pushing for a third as the half comes to a close, with Japhet Tanganga's far-post effort from George Saville's deep corner flicking off Yakou Meiete and behind for another corner.

Two minutes plus stoppage time to come...

  4. League One and Two round-uppublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Hector Kyprianou's goal has Peterborough 1-0 up against Exeter at the break as they look to end a six-match winless run in the league.

Thelo Aasgaard gave Wigan the lead against the bottom side Burton but Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, who only joined the Brewers last week, has equalised.

    Bolton and Charlton are goalless.

It's 0-0 between Harrogate and Colchester in League Two while Ryan Broom's goal means Fleetwood lead MK Dons 1-0 at the break.

  5. Postpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Millwall 2-0 Cardiff

He's come close already tonight but this is hugely ambitious from Yakou Meite who swings a left-foot at a cross from the left from Joel Bagan, but can only larrup his powerful volley well off target.

If he gets that connection right we're talking about that volley for years. As it is, he didn't, and we won't be...

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Watford 0-1 Preston

Five minutes added on before the half-time whistle goes at Vicarage Road.

Preston have the lead through Milutin Osmajić's close-range finish.

And it could easily have been two but Ali McCann was denied.

    Watford with work to do.

  7. 'Sunderland were by far the better team'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    HT: Derby 0-1 Sunderland

That first 45 minutes Sunderland have managed the game very well, we know what we usually say which is we want that second goal.

We were by far the better team here and as it stands at 1-0, Derby are very much still in the game.

  8. Postpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Bolton 0-0 Charlton

Bolton continue to press well into the eight additional minutes at the end of the elongated first half.

Ashley Maynard-Brewer in the Addicks goal has denied Jordi Osei-Tuto more than once while Charlton defender Lloyd Jones has also blocked well from Joel Randall's effort for the hosts.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Derby 0-1 Sunderland

Eliezer Mayenda's goal has Sunderland winning and heading up to third as things stand.

They deserve to be ahead and they look a better side than Derby, but as we know so well, 1-0 can be such a fickle scoreline.

This scoreline is not helping Derby's course as they slip towards the bottom three.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Swansea 1-0 Sheff Utd

Florian Bianchini of Swansea City celebrates his goalImage source, Getty Images

Florian Bianchini's close-range header after seven minutes separates the sides at the break, but in truth the hosts could be further ahead.

Michael Cooper was unfortunate as his fine instinctive stop from Ben Cabango's header looped kindly for Frenchman Bianchini to nod into the unguarded net, but he's also had to thwart Myles Peart-Harris while Liam Cullen was inches away from adding another too.

Plenty to ponder for Chris Wilder as he tries to steer Blades back to the top of the table. They haven't had a shot on target yet.

For Luke Williams, a perfect response after the Cardiff debacle.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Oxford United 1-2 Luton Town

The Hatters are ahead at the break.

Looking to end a 10 match losing streak on the road Luton are halfway there thanks to goals from Tom Krauss and Mark McGuinness.

In between Michal Helik levelled for the home side with his first goal for Oxford.

    It's a good watch.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Hull City 0-0 QPR

Not sure we'll be racing out to buy the VHS highlights of that one (ask your parents kids).

The closest we have come to a goal is Morgan Fox's header against the post.

Paul Nardi has denied Harry Vaughan at the other end.

It might get better in the second period.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Middlesbrough 1-0 West Brom

Middlesbrough's Hayden Hackney celebratesImage source, PA Media

The whistle goes with Middlesbrough fully deserving of this 1-0 lead.

Hayden Hackney's long-ranger is the difference, but that is the least they should have had for some of their enterprising play.

Tony Mowbray will have some words to say to his West Brom players.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Blackburn 0-1 Coventry

Blackburn forced two very sharp saves from Coventry keeper Oliver Dovin.

But it's the visitors who take the half-time lead through Ellis Simms' header.

  15. Postpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Hull City 0-0 QPR

Just the one minute of time added on to come.

  16. Postpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Swansea 1-0 Sheff Utd

To make matters worse for Chris Wilder, Gus Hamer looks like he might have picked up an injury in that lunge, which earned him a caution.

He's had a spell of treatment but has come back on for the final few seconds of the half.

Two additional minutes are being played.

  17. Postpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Oxford United 1-2 Luton Town

We are into two minutes of time added on.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Hull City 0-0 QPR

Referee Ben Speedie gets the card out for the first time tonight and it's the home side's Regan Slater who earns his wrath for a foul on Paul Smyth.

  19. Postpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Middlesbrough 1-0 West Brom

Still Middlesbrough keep attacking. And still Emmanuel Latte Lath keeps going close.

This time, left-back Neto Borges with a super cross from the left, but Latte Lath only gets a glancing head on it when a firmer contact may have produced a goal, such was the quality of Borges' delivery.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Swansea 1-0 Sheff Utd

A glimpse of goal for Gus Hamer, which is often all the Blades man needs, but this time his balance is a little off and he lashes a rising effort well over Lawrence Vigouroux's crossbar from 16 yards or so out.

Hamer picks up his 10th booking of the season shortly after the restart after sliding in on Myles Peart-Harris on the Swansea left.

Suspension incoming. A new headache for Chris WIlder.
