Teenage Liverpool loanee Calum Scanlon netted his first senior goal after just 61 seconds with an absolutely glorious first-time effort into the top corner from a seemingly impossible angle.

Raees Bangura-Williams then showcased his immense potential with some lightning footwork to create space for a pass to Casper de Norre to stroke the second.

Millwall looked like a team possessed but Chris Willock's fine finish has set the second half up nicely.

The Lions are pushing for a third as the half comes to a close, with Japhet Tanganga's far-post effort from George Saville's deep corner flicking off Yakou Meiete and behind for another corner.

That first 45 minutes Sunderland have managed the game very well, we know what we usually say which is we want that second goal.

We were by far the better team here and as it stands at 1-0, Derby are very much still in the game.
