    Sheff Utd 1-0 Southampton

Almost a second for the home side but Alex McCarthy comes to Southampton's rescue.

Gustavo Hamer fools everyone with a free kick by sliding it along the ground to Callum O'Hare who forces a good save out of McCarthy.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Stoke

Great work from Hayden Hackney who charges down a clearance, drives into the box and cuts back superbly from the right for the on-rushing Aidan Morris who blazes well over the bar from near the penalty spot.

Heads in hands all round. Got to get that on target.

I'm not sure Saints' fans are going to be overjoyed with the half-time substitutions.

Tom Fellows and Fin Azaz have been taken off for Ryan Fraser and Jay Robinson.

I though Fellows was one of their brighter attacking sparks, but to take of Azaz as well, that's twenty million pounds off the pitch for a back five.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONS & YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:53 BST

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Southampton

So, no Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder on the touchline for this second period.

He got a red card for hitting a ball into the crowd which hit a Blades fan,

Wilder apologised - the supporter accepted the apology - but it's still a sending off for the home boss.

Southampton have made two changes at the break.

Jay Robinson and Ryan Fraser are on for Finn Azaz and Tom Fellows.

Sheffield United skipper Japhet Tanganga was also cautioned just before the break and now the Saints Shea Charles is carded.

    I think that's everything...

    Leicester 1-0 Wrexham

Luke Thomas was booked in the first half, and 45 minutes against the tricky Issa Kabore is too long to risk.

Victor Kristiansen on at left-back for the second half.

    Derby 0-1 Charlton

James Bree scores for Charlton against DerbyImage source, Rex Features

Charlton have won four of their past seven games on the road in the EFL and they lead at Pride Park.

James Bree's second goal of the season - a whistler into the top corner - has given the Addicks the advantage.

Derby are yet to win at home this season.

The home side have made a change over half-time.

Augustus Kargbo has taken over from Ryoya Morishita in the forward region.

GOAL: Hull City 1-2 Prestonpublished at 20:49 BST

    Oli McBurnie (48 mins)

Maybe not too late... Hull look a different side.

That's three goals and three assists in four home games for Oli McBurnie and the fourth straight game he's scored in.

The new darling of the MKM collects a low cross from Ryan Giles on the left, takes a touch and lashes past Daniel Iversen inside his near post.

From their first shot on target, too...

    Hull City 0-2 Preston

Hull were booed off at the break, loudly, and boss Sergej Jakirovic has opted to bring Liam Millar, Joe Gelhardt and Regan Slater on to try to change their fortunes in the second half.

    Too little too late?

CJ Hamilton scores for Blackpool against LutonImage source, Rex Features

The only goal of the first halves in League One belongs to CJ Hamilton.

The Blackpool man smashed under the Luton goalkeeper inside the first 10 minutes to take the Tangerines out the relegation zone, as it stands.

Cardiff's attempts to end the night at the summit has hit a Burton rearguard. The Bluebirds have had 78 per cent of possession and have an xG of 1.02 from 10 shots but haven't managed to find a way through.

    HT: Sheff Utd 1-0 Southampton

Sheffield United boss Chris WilderImage source, PA Media

    Right,

We've had some drama as the players and coaches left the field at the break.

Blades boss Chris Wilder has hammered a ball into the crowd and it's hit a home supporter.

He's gone to apologise but referee Adam Herczeg has shown him a red card.

I think Wilder was frustrated by the penalty award.

I think the referee has sent off Chris Wilder.

He's now got zero friends in Sheffield.

That is a dramatic finish to this half, he's obviously said something to the referee.

Rob Atkinson's first Bristol City goal since February 2023 has the Robins flying at the break.

He headed in Anis Mehmeti's 18th-minute corner.

Scott Twine and Neto Borges have fired wide for the home side with Ipswich rarely threatening and only really having a Jack Clarke effort that flew over the bar to show for their efforts.

It's a good move from the visitors and James Bree hammers a shot into the top left hand corner of the net.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 BST

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Southampton

Tyrese Campbell's lovely finish separates the sides but dear me, Adam Armstrong has missed a golden opportunity to level right on half time.

Ross Stewart had forced home goalkeeper Michael Cooper into two very good saves from headers before he was brought down by the latter for a penalty.

Up stepped Armstrong and hammered the penalty well over the bar.

    More problems for Will Still.

  19. 'He has skied it'published at 20:36 BST

    Sheffield United 1-0 Southampton

    Adam Blackmore

He has skied it into the Kop.

Saints will go in at half time trailing.

Anyone who thought it wasn't a penalty will say justice is done.

Adam Armstrong sent the keeper the wrong way but smashed it over the bar.
