  1. RED CARDpublished at 20:42 BST

    HT: Sheff Utd 1-0 Southampton

Sheffield United boss Chris WilderImage source, PA Media

    Right,

We've had some drama as the players and coaches left the field at the break.

Blades boss Chris Wilder has hammered a ball into the crowd and it's hit a home supporter.

He's gone to apologise but referee Adam Herczeg has shown him a red card.

I think Wilder was frustrated by the penalty award.

  2. 'A dramatic finish to the half'published at 20:40 BST

I think the referee has sent off Chris Wilder.

He's now got zero friends in Sheffield.

That is a dramatic finish to this half, he's obviously said something to the referee.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:39 BST

    Bristol City 1-0 Ipswich

Bristol City players celebrate with Rob AtkinsonImage source, Getty Images

Rob Atkinson's first Bristol City goal since February 2023 has the Robins flying at the break.

He headed in Anis Mehmeti's 18th-minute corner.

Scott Twine and Neto Borges have fired wide for the home side with Ipswich rarely threatening and only really having a Jack Clarke effort that flew over the bar to show for their efforts.

    James Bree (37 mins)

    The Addicks go ahead...

It's a good move from the visitors and James Bree hammers a shot into the top left hand corner of the net.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 BST

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Southampton

Tyrese Campbell's lovely finish separates the sides but dear me, Adam Armstrong has missed a golden opportunity to level right on half time.

Ross Stewart had forced home goalkeeper Michael Cooper into two very good saves from headers before he was brought down by the latter for a penalty.

Up stepped Armstrong and hammered the penalty well over the bar.

    More problems for Will Still.

  6. 'He has skied it'published at 20:36 BST

    Sheffield United 1-0 Southampton

    Adam Blackmore
    BBC Radio Solent sports editor

He has skied it into the Kop.

Saints will go in at half time trailing.

Anyone who thought it wasn't a penalty will say justice is done.

Adam Armstrong sent the keeper the wrong way but smashed it over the bar.

Southampton skipper Adam Armstrong blazes his penalty over the bar, I mean I say over, watch out if you're orbiting the earth...

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 BST

    Leicester 1-0 Wrexham

Leicester goalscorer Jordan JamesImage source, Getty Images

Jordan James' calm finish after a lovely give-and-go with Patson Daka is the difference at the break.

Leicester deserve their lead with James and Jeremy Monga particularly lively, while Harry Winks has pulled the strings.

Wrexham have kept them honest, and Josh Windass really should have opened the scoring after a defensive mishap.

  9. PENALTYpublished at 20:34 BST

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Southampton

Michael Cooper has denied Ross Stewart twice - now he's brought him down.

    Penalty to Southampton.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 BST

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Stoke

Middlesbrough's David Strelec tries to find space against StokeImage source, Rex Features

Goalless at the break, but it hasn't felt like a 0-0, if you know what I mean.

Boro have had the better of it, despite losing George Edmundson to what looks a hamstring injury inside seven minutes, but Viktor Johansson kept out David Strelec's curler, also thwarted Aidan Morris and another couple of efforts have missed the target.

Feisty game, reckon there are goals, and more cards, to come...

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 BST

    Blackburn 1-1 Swansea

Todd Cantwell slides on his knees after scoring for BlackburnImage source, Rex Features

Honours even after an even first half.

Todd Cantwell headed Rovers ahead, before Goncalo Franco opened his account for the season with a wonder back-post finish.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 BST

    Birmingham 1-1 Sheff Wed

All-square, against the odds, at the break.

Jay Stansfield capitalised on a fortunate break of the ball to fire home an angled finish to put Blues ahead with his fourth goal of the season, but a mistake at the back allowed Jamal Lowe to fire home the equaliser, totally against the run of play, eight minutes before the interval.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:32 BST

    Bristol City 1-0 Ipswich

Bristol City's Ross McCrorie has said something out of line to referee John Busby.

    Silly really - yellow card.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:31 BST

    Hull City 0-2 Preston

Preston goalscorer Michael Smith celebratesImage source, Rex Features

A perfect half for Preston, and a torrid one for Hull City.

The Lilywhites were 2-0 up inside 10 minutes as Thierry Small rifled into the bottom corner from a corner before keeper Ivor Pandur botched a clearance and Michael Smith tucked in his first North End goal soon after.

It feels like game over already, but a big half-time for Sergej Jakirovic if things are going to change.

  15. Postpublished at 20:31 BST

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Southampton

We will have an extra three minutes.

Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy dwells on the ball and just about gets it clear under pressure.

Michael Cooper is then forced into action to deny Ross Stewart once again.

  16. 'It's so unnecessary'published at 20:31 BST

    Sheffield United 0-0 Southampton

    Adam Blackmore
    BBC Radio Solent sports editor

Why do Saints feel the need to play the ball across their six-yard box like that.

Russel Martin left some time ago!

    It's so unnecessary.

  17. 'Why was he given so much room?'published at 20:30 BST

    Leicester 1-0 Wrexham

Jordan James scores for LeicesterImage source, Rex Features

It's an excellent bit of inter-play between Jordan James and Patson Daka but you've got to wonder why the latter was given so much room to manoeuvre into.

It's been a clear tactic from Wrexham to allow Leicester to have the ball and sit in a low block but the visitors can't keep doing this all game.

  18. Postpublished at 20:29 BST

    Derby 0-0 Charlton

Charlie Kelman lines one up for Charlton but his shot takes a deflection and Jacob Widell Zetterstrom is able to hold on in the Derby goal.

This hasn't hit the high spots yet.

  19. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-1 Swanseapublished at 20:29 BST

    Goncalo Franco (44 mins)

    Pick that out!

Swansea go from right to left to unlock the Blackburn defence.

Josh Tymon picks out Goncalo Franco at the back post, where the Portuguese lets the ball drop onto his right foot to volley emphatically into the roof of the net.

What a finish for his first goal since the end of last December!

  20. Postpublished at 20:28 BST

    Leicester 1-0 Wrexham

Jannik Vestergaard isn't too far away from making it 2-0.

The giant Dane meets a corner at the near post but his header goes just over the angle above bar and post.
