Two assists for Grealish... what a signing he could end up being

Boos for Anthony Taylor as he books Tyrick Mitchell for taking too long over a throw-in.

Taylor may be the second most unpopular man at Selhurst Park right now. You can guess the first.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 24 August

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Nottingham Forest

And another yellow card - also for time wasting - this time for Tyrick Mitchell. Moments later Will Hughes lashes a shot over the bar.

    Everton 2-0 Brighton

Jack Grealish's two assists is as many goal involvements as he managed in his previous 49 Premier League appearances.

New lease of life in the blue of Everton.

Grealish: first start, two assists. That's not bad is it?

What a dream of a day this is turning out to be for Everton Football Club.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 24 August

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Ironic cheers as referee Anthony Taylor awards Palace a free-kick after Murillo drags Jean-Philippe Mateta to the ground.

Then Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels is booked for taking too much time taking a goal kick.

Sels does know his team is losing, right?

You might not see a better shot at this stadium this season. The ball comes out to Grealish on the edge of the box and instead of panicking he lays a perfect ball on for Garner to walk onto and he nails it. If the keeper had got a hand on it, it would have broken his fingers. What a hit.

That is James Garner's third goal in Everton colours. He'll certainly remember that one fondly.

    James Garner (52 mins)

    SCREAMER!

Idrissa Gueye finds Jack Grealish on the left, he sets it back for James Garner and he's absolutely hammered it into the bottom corner.

    What a strike that is.

The second half has not started with the same intensity that the first half started with.

Forest are trying to work an open, but Palace's shape off the ball has been excellent.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall clips in the free-kick but he's trying to be too delicate with that one.

    Just have a shot!

Wood and Mateta in my fantasy, but somehow my brother gets more points than me with just Sarr. If neither of them reply, Salah has to drop a masterclass tommorow otherwise I'll be bottom of my league and have to film myself singing Peppa pig as the forfeit.

Forest so far have had none of the verve they showed in scoring three against Brentford last weekend.

Nuno will have had plenty to say to his side at the interval. Primarily, have a shot on target please.

A moment that sums up Nottingham Forest today.

The corner comes in but it's over-hit, clears everyone inside the crowded penalty area, and rolls out for a goal kick.

Tim Iroegbunam is everywhere in the middle for Everton as he skips past Mats Wieffer before being barged to the ground.

Another one of those for Wieffer and he'll be sent on his way.

A nice spell of possession for Everton now as they look for a second goal that will surely secure the three points.
